Oh, yes, I've used lots of shapes to make my ship

and we're going to be talking about shapes this afternoon.

RUMBLING Oh, there we go again! This is awful!

I haven't had lunch, my tummy's rumbling

and I have to teach the class about shapes! Where did the time go?

At eight o'clock I dropped off Rebecca at Granny Murray's.

She helped dress Claude as a pirate.

Granny Murray was taking the children to an old sailing ship today.

And I got very excited telling her about pirates.

But then my tummy kept rumbling because I'd forgotten breakfast.

So she gave me some bread to make sandwiches.

At nine o'clock I was in school and I looked through lots of books

about pirates and sailing ships.

Then I had the idea of making a pirate ship for my class.

At 12 o'clock the bell rang and the children went off for their lunch.

The Ferry Boat Band helped me make the model ship

and we sang a great sea shanty.

At one o'clock I was tired, so I had a nap.

Suddenly I woke up and lunchtime was over.

My class were all waiting for me to tell them about shapes.

But I'd forgotten to have lunch and my tummy started rumbling again.

Remember, you can't work without a good square meal inside you!

I've got a good square meal in my bag.

If I cut my sandwiches into different shapes I can eat and teach!

But what was really special about today?

Well, Claude was dressed as a pirate because we were planning to visit

an old sailing ship on the River Fingal.

Mickey John was going to teach his class about shapes.

I took my band of pirates through the city

to see the old sailing ship.

When we got on board, we had a delicious pirate picnic.

Then we set off to explore everywhere on the old sailing ship.

It was amazing!

Mickey John got excited when he heard about our trip,

but his tummy kept rumbling because he'd forgotten breakfast.

Pieces of eight! Shh, Pirate Polly!

-That was MY tummy rumbling!
