Hello, it's making time.

Get ready for an arty adventure around the world.

Today we fly to Brazil to build a monster sized plant picture

and show you how to make your own everlasting pot plant.

We head down under to make a delicious looking bottle top cake

in just one minute.

But first we're off to Hong Kong to make a really cool picture.

Oh, wow, look!

We're in Hong Kong at a beautiful beach.

Oh, it doesn't matter wherever I am in the world,

I love being at the beach.

There is always lots of sand and a beautiful sea.

I have to say though, this beach is really hot.

I knew it would be.

It gets very hot and humid here but I've come prepared. Look!

Here is my home-made paper fan, perfect for keeping you cool.

Oh, that's much better. Oh!

Wait a minute!

This has just given me a great idea!

Let's try something.

Try folding paper to make a fantastic fan picture like this.

We'll need a Mini Maker to help us.

Gavin is on his way to help us make our picture.

But first, we'll need somewhere to make it.

Oh, brilliant.

The Marvellous Maker Case has become a Marvellous Making Table.

Now we just need some arty things to make our picture.

We will need...

Some paper and some paper strips.

A pencil and some scissors.

Some sticky tape and some paper cups.

And last, but not least, we'll also need a table tennis bat.

A table tennis bat?

We don't need one of these.

-Scrappz, how did you get here?

-SCRAPPZ SQUEAKS

Oh, really?

Look, we don't need one of these but we do need some stickers.

Can you find some stickers, please?

Oh, good shot!

Oh, brilliant! Well done, Scrappz.

That's just what we need. Thank you.

We've got some stickers!

Right, we've got everything we need.

Although, it feels like something's missing.

Do you know what's missing?

I'm here, Mister Maker!

Of course! Gavin, it's you!

It's great to see you, my friend, and you're just in time

because we're going to make a fantastic fan picture,

like this one here of a panda.

Now, Gavin, what do you think we should call our panda?

-Gavin.

-Gavin!

I think that's a good idea.

It's Gavin the panda and we're going to make him right now.

-Are you ready?

-Yes!

-Good!

Are you ready?

Fantastic! Let's get making.

Now the first thing we need, Gavin, is a paper strip.

Can you pass me one, please? That's it.

Thank you very much.

Watch, Gavin...

You take one of the short edges

and fold it over like this.

And then turn it over and fold it back the other way.

Now, you can use as many paper strips as you like

but today we're going to use four.

Keep going until you've folded all of them.

And they'll look something like this.

And now we can make them into fan shapes.

I'll show you how, Gavin.

We pinch one end here like this

and then tape it together with sticky tape.

Could you pass me some sticky tape. Thank you. That is it, lovely.

There we go.

Lovely. Look, we've got a lovely fan shape.

Now, take the rest of your fans in the same way

and glue them together into a circle

on your background paper.

This circle is going to be the face of our panda

but what are we missing?

The ears, the eyes, the nose and the mouth.

That's right! Well done, my friend.

We need to make the eyes, the nose, the mouth and the ears.

First we're going to draw around a paper cup

to make the eyes.

And carry on drawing to make...

..a nose, a smiley mouth and half circles for ears.

Then carefully cut everything out.

Now you can arrange them in place.

You can even stick on circle shaped stickers as pupils for the eyes.

And when you're happy with your picture,

glue everything down.

Grab a glue stick, my friend and put some glue on that for me.

Today we're going to make one of these.

It's a bottle top cake with lots of colourful sprinkles and icing.

We're going to make this bottle top cake

by using these things...

Some gloopy PVA glue,

some cotton wool balls,

some plastic lids and bottle tops

and some sparkly beads.

Now, do you think it is possible to make this bottle top cake

-in just one minute?

-No, you can't!

Well, let's find out. I'm going to have to be very quick

but don't worry, I'll remind you how to do it at the end.

-Are you ready?

-Yes.

Are you ready?

Fantastic. Let's make it in a minute.

Three, two, one...

Start the clock!

First we get our largest lid

and dip it in lots of gloopy glue.

Look at that!

There's lots of gloopy glue there.

Now start putting on our cotton wool balls.

Now, this can get very messy

but don't worry, it'll look great

when it's all dry.

Let's get the next lid

and put lots of gloopy glue on. There we go.

Stick that on top there.

Now we can get these bits of cotton wool

and dip them in the glue

and stick them on.

Aha! This is so much fun, Mini Makers.

I think you'll love to do this.

We haven't got much time.

Here we go, one more bit there.

Lots of gloopy glue. And it's on.

Now we need our small lid,

lots of glue on that one there.

And one more piece of cotton wool.

Stick it on with lots of gloopy glue

and now we need some colourful sprinkles.

Let's sprinkle them on all over.

And you've made a beautiful cake.

Phew! Just in time.

A bottle top cake, made in just one minute.

Dip a large lid in gloopy glue

and put cotton wool balls on top.

Dip the medium lid in the glue

and stick it on the top.

Glue cotton wool balls on top of this.

Now dip the small lid in the glue

and stick it on top

and glue a cotton wool ball on top of this.

Shake sparkly beads all over it and your bottle top cake is finished.

I used a water bottle for the body

and some cardboard tubes for the wings.

Then I stuck some feathers on the top.

Funny face flowers! Well, that sounds very funny.

-What are these flowers going to look like then?

-Big eyes.

They'll have eyes.

-Big spiky teeth.

-Are they really small flowers?

-They're big flowers.

Big flowers!

Flowers can be really colourful, what colours shall we use?

-Orange!

-Red!

-Pink!

-Yellow!

-All right then, I think we're ready, aren't we?

-Yes!

Let's make it together.

These are the leaves.

Here are the flower heads.

These are the stems.

And we need a nice green background.

We're having great fun making our big picture.

That has just given me an idea!

Why don't you make something too?

Try making an everlasting pot plant that never leads watering.

You will need...

tissue paper and a plant pot,

a pencil and a pipe cleaner,

coloured card and scissors,

glue and a pen,

stickers and a plastic lid.

First, scrunch up tissue paper

and push it into a plant pot to make soil.

Then carefully make a hole in the tissue paper with a pencil.

Push a pipe cleaner inside for the plant stem.

Now draw lots of leaves and petals on different coloured card.

Then, carefully cut them out.

Next, glue the leaves around the bottom of the pipe cleaner,

onto the soil.

Now glue the petals together in a flower shape, like this.

Then add stickers to the plastic lid to make eyes,

a mouth

and fangs,

and glue the lid onto the petals.

Finally glue the flower head onto the stem.

And your everlasting pot plant is finished

and ready to decorate your room.

What a great idea. Why don't you try it?
