A picture that looks like it's outdoors. That's a great idea!

And we've come to the right place.

The great outdoors is a great place to make things and have fun.

Talking of having fun, do you fancy a game of hide-and-seek?

OK, I must warn you, you will NEVER find me.

I am the best at hide-and-seek. Close your eyes and start counting.

Oh, Sam! I can't believe you found me.

I was taking such great care to hide.

And my face was only just peeping out from behind these leaves.

Wait a minute, Sam.

Ha-ha!

This has just given me a great idea.

Let's try something.

Try making a peeping picture

of creatures hiding in the great outdoors.

BOTH: Let's make it!

But first, we'll need somewhere to make it.

And we'll also need some things from the Doodle Drawers.

Some coloured paper.

A pen and a glue stick.

We also need some sticky dots.

I know I put them round here somewhere. Maybe Scraps can help.

OK, Sam. Let's make a peeping picture, like this one here

of creatures peeping out of a leafy jungle.

Fantastic.

-All right then, Sam. Are you ready?

-Yes.

Brilliant! Are YOU ready?

Wonderful! Let's get making.

The first thing we're going to do is tear up our coloured paper

into the shape of leaves and bushes.

You can help me with this, Sam. Let's get tearing.

Here are all of our shapes.

I'm going to leave these over here with you, Sam.

Because it's time to bring in

a sheet of dark paper

and we're going to arrange all our leaves and bushes

and glue them down. Can you help me, Sam?

-Yes.

-OK, then.

Thank you very much.

And carry on until all of your pieces are stuck down.

And now you should have gaps in between the leaves

and here in the middle of the paper.

You'll see why in a minute.

But first of all, we need to take a pen

and we're going to draw around the edges

of our leaves and our bushes to really make them stand out.

Now we need to draw dots onto lots of white stickers to make...

-Eyes!

-Eyes.

That's right. So I think you can do this, Sam.

Well done, Sam.

Now we need to stick them in the gaps

to make the eyes of the hiding creatures

peeping out from behind the leaves.

There! We're all finished.

It's a wonderful peeping picture.

You can make all kinds of peeping pictures.

How about creatures peeping out of a torn paper cave?

Or you could try a torn paper castle,

with a paper moat and drawbridge.

Or you could even make an underwater shipwreck,

made out of cardboard, torn tissue paper and coloured paper.

This is a lovely day for a drive out in the Makermobile, isn't it?

Minute-make time!

Hey, it's minute-make time! I'm on my way.

Here we are.

It's minute-make time, everyone!

CROWD: Yeah!

Oh, no. Look at my poor plant.

Its leaves are all sad and floppy.

I've just had a great idea.

I'm going to cheer my plant up by making him a friend.

I'm going to make one of these.

It's a plant pal. Look at him. He's very funny, and very useful, too.

Because you can keep plants inside plant pals.

And you can make it in just one minute. By using these things.

Some stickers, some craft foam,

a pair of scissors, a pen, a glue stick,

An empty plant pot, some sticky tape.

Oh, and of course we also need a plant.

Do you think it's possible to make this plant pal in just one minute?

CROWD: No way!

Well, let's find out. I'm going to have to be very quick.

But don't worry. I'll remind you how to do it at the end. Are you ready?

CROWD: Yes!

Are you ready? Brilliant!

Let's make it in a minute.

CROWD: Three, two, one, go!

Start the clock!

First we get our circle of craft foam

and carefully cut it in half.

-We need to be careful because scissors are...

-Sharp!

That's right. We draw on some detail with a black pen.

Let's get some sticky tape.

We're going to stick these ears onto our pot.

Here we go. one of these goes on that side.

Then we'll put the other ear on that side, like that.

Let's give him some eyes.

we're going to use these black dots

in the middle of white stickers for eyes. There we go.

Let's stick one of these over here.

We can stick the other one on the other side, like that.

Now we get some more craft foam and fold it in half

and cut out a moustache shape.

It's a pointy shape, like that.

Then I'm going to use some glue to stick it in place.

Then we can stick it on

to our lovely plant pal.

CROWD: Yeah!

Phew! just in time.

All we need to do now is pop in the plant.

Fantastic! Look, my plant is much happier now.

And if you've got more than a minute,

you can try all sorts of ideas.

How about this one, with orange eyebrows, a moustache

and a pom-pom nose?

Or you could even try making a glamorous plant pal,

with glittery glasses and lips.

Plant pals made in a minute.

Why don't you try it?

Here's a reminder of how to do it.

Let's go back and take another look.

Cut a craft foam circle in half for ears.

Add pen details.

And stick them to each side of the pot. Add stickers for eyes.

Fold a rectangle of craft foam in half and cut out a moustache shape.

Glue it on, and your plant pal is finished.

Why don't you try and make it in a minute?

My friends, I need your help today.

Mini Makers, I think we should make a big room in a castle,

fit for a king, a queen,

or a knight of the round making table.

-Will you help me?

-ALL: Yeah!

Fantastic! All right, then.

Lily, Charlie, Isa, Sobhan and Harris,

let's make it!

All right, Mini Makers. We're going to make a room in a castle.

-What should it have in it?

-A fireplace.

That would be nice.

-What colours would you see in a fireplace?

-Red and yellow.

What red and yellow things can we find here?

-This.

-That's a good idea, Lily.

-What about the rest of the fireplace?

-Bricks.

Fantastic idea. What can we make bricks from?

That would be perfect. We could use these for bricks, couldn't we?

-What else can we make?

-ALL: A knight.

A knight in armour!

What can we make our knight from? A plate.

That's already shiny. Great, Lily. Well done.

All right, Mini Makers, are we ready?

ALL: Yes!

Come on. Let's make it!

ALL: We're making the suit of armour.

'This is going to be the fireplace.'

'And here's a nice purple wall.'

Excuse me. That's it.

This big surprise has been great fun so far,

so why don't you join in and make your very own mini make?

Decorate your wall with a funny animal friend

that is also a hoopla game.

Make it and play with it.

You will need a clean, empty milk bottle,

some glue, paint,

washing-up liquid,

modelling clay and cotton wool balls,

three paper plates,

a paintbrush and a pencil,

googly eyes,

scissors,

rubber gloves

and sticky tape.

First, take two paper plates

and use modelling clay and a pencil to carefully make holes

at the top of one plate and the middle of the other plate.

Using these holes, cut a large circle out of one plate,

and a smaller circle at the top of the other plate.

If you find this tricky, ask an adult to help.

To make funny animal antlers,

fill a pair of rubber gloves with cotton wool balls.

Then twist the ends

and tape them together.

Now push both gloves through the plate with the smaller hole,

and tape them in place like this.

Then glue another plate onto the back.

Next, squeeze a big squirt of paint into the milk bottle,

and add a smaller squirt of washing-up liquid.

Put the lid on and give it a shake.

The washing-up liquid helps the paint to stick to the milk bottle.

Take off the lid whilst the paint dries,

then glue the bottle onto the plate, like this.

Screw the lid back on,

and stick on googly eyes.

Now take your other cut-out plate,

and your animal hoopla game is finished and ready to play with.

What a great game. But back to work now.

Let's see how our big castle room is coming along.
