Now, we need another box.

can you see if there's a long cardboard box in there?

And we also need a glue stick and a paint brush.

OK then, Rohan, let's make a picture in a box like this one here.

Oh, look, there's a lovely house, marvellous mountains

and a beautiful blue sky.

-All right, Rohan, are you ready?

Brilliant, are you ready?

Fantastic! Let's get making.

Now, the first thing we are going to do is bring in our box,

because it's time to paint inside it.

Now, you can use whatever colours of paint you like

but we're going to use green paint here on one side,

that'll be for the grass

and paint the rest of the box blue for the sky.

Rohan, can you pass me the blue, please?

Thank you. Let's get painting.

When the paint is dry, we need to draw around our box

on to two sheets of paper...

..one a dark colour...

..and one a light colour.

Now we're going to draw jagged lines like this

to make mountains on both pieces of paper.

but make sure the mountains on the dark paper

are higher than the mountains on the light paper.

Let's put these pieces to one side for the moment,

because it's now time to draw the rest of our picture

on these other pieces of coloured paper.

But we're going to draw a lovely house

with windows and a door and some bushes.

OK, Rohan, can you draw some bushes? And I'll make a start on the house.

Now cut everything out

but we need to remember to be very careful,

-because scissors are...

-Sharp!

That's right! OK, then, let's get cutting.

Here are all our pieces, Rohan,

so next we need to stick the tallest mountain -

that's the dark mountain - inside our box.

Could you put some glue on that for me, please? Thank you.

Thank you very much, let's stick that in.

And now on top of this,

we're going to stick a long, thin box.

So can you put a little bit of glue on there, please, Rohan?

Thank you.

And then on top of that, we'll stick the smaller mountain.

So I'll need some glue on here as well, please.

There.

When the box is dry, stand it up.

And you can see it's looking good already

but we're missing the house and the bushes.

We'll start with the house

and we'll fold a flap like this

at the bottom and then put some glue on here...

and then stick it on to the bottom of the box

and then glue on the windows, door and bushes.

There, we're all finished.

It's a brilliant picture inside a box.

And you can make all kinds of pictures

and put them in all kinds of boxes.

How about using a round box

to make a picture of balloons floating through the sky?

Or you could even add a card frame to the box to make a window.

Why don't you imagine a picture, make it and then put it in a box?

Oh, I know - it's a monster card that's funny and furry.

And we can make one in just one minute by using these things -

some coloured card, some scissors,

some fun fur, a glue stick

and we'll also need some googly eyes.

You can find them in art and craft shops,

Brilliant! Let's make it in a minute.

Start the clock!

Right, let's get our card and cover it in glue.

Put plenty of glue all the way round the edges.

Then we'll stick on our fun fur like this

so it covers the whole thing.

And then we're going to fold it in half

to make it into a card shape, like that. Ha ha!

Now let's get our scissors and very carefully

snip off two corners to make a rounded head shape.

There's one and there's two.

Be careful with scissors as they are...

-ALL:

-Let's get this card here

and we're going to very carefully...

cut a waggly tongue shape like this

and then we are going to stick this inside with glue.

Put some glue inside our monster.

And then stick in his tongue.

He needs some googly eyes as well,

so let's glue one eye here and then another eye here.

And we've made a monster card.

Ha ha! I did it, just in time!

If you've got more than a minute,

you can make all sorts of monster cards.

How about this messy monster card with long hair and fangs?

Or why not try this tall monster with bright fur and a pom-pom nose?

Stick a rectangle of fun fur to the card.

Fold it in half.

Carefully cut off the corners at the edge.

Then cut a tongue and stick it inside, like this.

Glue on googly eyes and your monster card is finished.

What can we use for that?

In the garden, that's a good idea.

This is our ladybird.

With a spotty body...

and tights for legs.

Here are some flowers...

..and toadstools for the garden.

And here's a lovely blue sky.

This big surprise has been great fun so far,

so why don't you join in and make your very own mini make?

Try making your own little ladybird to play with and have fun with.

You will need some air-drying clay,

scissors and a pencil,

pipe cleaners,

paint and a paintbrush

and some stickers.

First, roll a ball of air-drying clay and squash it a little.

Then use a pencil to draw a line across the top of it for the head

and a line in the middle for the wings.

Now carefully cut two pipe cleaners into eight small pieces.

Push three pieces into one side of the clay

and three into the other side.

Then bend them into leg shapes, like this.

Now curl two pieces of pipe cleaner around a pencil

and push these into the clay for antennae.

Leave it to dry, then paint it.

And leave it to dry again.

Stick on stickers for spots and eyes,

and your ladybird is finished and ready to play with.

You can make as many ladybirds as you like, in all colours and sizes.

Why don't you try to make that lovely little ladybird?
