Today, I've brought my travelling fete to King's Lynn.

I'm off out to find some tiddlers.

Lavender gets its very special smell because it has an oil.

It has a very strong smell!

Imagine the oil in this whole field!

Chloe...how much oil will we get from this lavender?

The distiller gets really hot and produces lots of steam.

Like a big kettle.

The steam rises up

and takes all the lovely oil.

When it cools down,

it drips through this tube into here.

There isn't much lavender oil at all, Mr Bloom.

What do you think, tiddlers?

I thought there would be

-You thought there would be lots and lots?

-Yes.

It might not look like much, but waft some of this up your nostrils!

Compo's showing us what we did earlier on.

Maybe that'll help.

Me and Mr Bloom followed our noses to a field of lovely lavender.

That's what I can smell.

And we turned that lavender into lavender oil.

We found out that the lavender smell helps people

feel relaxed and go to sleep.

That's right, Raymond.

Eh, is this what you lot got up to outside?

Wow! It's a dream tree.

A dream tree? Wow!

What's that?

It's a tree that makes you feel sleepy.

I love the dream tree! It was ever so peaceful.

How does it make you feel sleepy?

We keep looking at it, get really tired and fall asleep.

Hey, so maybe we're onto something here.

Maybe we can get the Wee MacGregors back to sleep

if we use this lavender.

It smells really nice.

But it also makes you feel sleepy.

And we can make something soothing, that sways and swings.

I had something like that on my pram when I was a baby Bloom.

A mobile.
