Hey, Tiddlers, come in! Hey, it's Sujana, Archie and Amelia.

A few weeks ago, I planted some vegetables in my nursery.

Oh, yes, I did. I planted some radishes and some lovely parsnips.

Only problem is that I can't remember where I planted them.

-I know it was in the nursery. Can you see them?

-No.

-Have a good look around.

-Hmmm.

-Who do you think might know the answer?

-Compo!

-Compo, that's right. So, I tell you what...

..Compo, the Tiddlers have a question for you!

So maybe you can ask Compo, "What do radishes and parsnips look like?"

ALL: What do parsnips and radishes look like?

Oh, I think Compo heard you.

-Hey, hey, hey! We've got some parsnips.

-And some radishes.

-And some radishes. Thanks, Compo.

So now we know what these plants look like, you can take a seat.

I'll go off into the nursery and shout when I think I've found them.

-OK?

-Yeah!

-Well, let's get to it.

-Right, Tiddlers, I'll start down here, OK?

-All right! OK.

-Hmm.

OK. I've got a vegetable that's quite tall

and it's got big sticky-out leaves.

On top of it, it's got some yellow funny hair.

-Does that sound like what we're looking for?

-NO!

-No, you're right.

I'll tell you why. It's sweetcorn.

Mmm, one of my lovely sweetcorns. We'll save you for later.

Hey, Tiddlers, what colour are parsnips?

-ALL: White!

-Well, I've got a white vegetable for you here.

Now, it's quite round and it's got leaves all the way round the outside

and it's knobbly. Does that sound like a parsnip?

-ALL: No!

-Are you sure?

-No.

No! I'll tell you why it's not a parsnip, cos it's a cauliflower!

Oh, and a lovely cauliflower it will be too. Where shall I go next?

-Down there!

-Hey, Tiddlers, what colour are radishes?

-Red!

-Red, are you sure?

-ALL: Yes!

-I've got red vegetables.

You'll like this. What shape are radishes?

-Round and it's got a tiny little thing.

-Oh!

I've got something that is red and round!

There's lots of them. They're dangling in the air.

-Does that sound like a radish to you?

-ALL: No!

Does it have a thin strip at the bottom?

-The bottom is lovely and smooth.

-ALL: No!

-No! They're not radishes.

You know why? These are tomatoes!

I tell you what, Tiddlers,

I'll keep looking here, you look down there.

-Look all around you, OK, and give us a shout if you find anything.

-OK.

Ah! Well, Tiddlers... Ooh! My goodness me!

That one's radishes and that one's parsnips.

You did very well, Tiddlers. They were here all along, weren't they?!

So, look, let's see. Those radishes are looking ready to pull up.

Oh, but look at my parsnips.

I planted those well before the radishes.

They've grown but they're not ready to harvest.

You know what, Tiddlers, that's fine.

Some plants grow fast and some plants grow slow.

You know, it only takes a few weeks for radishes to grow,

whereas parsnips can take months and months.

They all get there in the end!

So, we need to leave these parsnips but we can pull the radishes up now.

-Do you want to help out.

-Yes!

-OK. That's it.

-There you go.

-Oh, thank you.

-Oh, I've got a big one.

When you're done, we can pop them in this bowl. That is a big one!

Oh, that looks tasty, that!

Oh, thanks, Sujana. Smells good!

I'll give these a wash and have them for my tea later on.

Oh, that'll have to wait.

-Speaking of supper, guess who's hungry?

-ALL: Compo!

-Could you help me feed him?

Yeah. We do it every year. We run under and we jump over.

-And sometimes we crawl through things.

We start off at the back bed, then run along there, then along there,

and bounce down to the trampoline to the sandpit.

From the sandpit, all the way to the finishing line!

Here we go, let's count them down, Tiddlers!
