All that and more, this

Saturday at 7:45am on CBBC.

0:00:000:00:01

See you!

0:00:010:00:09

Hi, I'm Ricky.

0:00:150:00:16

Welcome to another chilly Newsround.

0:00:160:00:19

Warnings are still in place for snow

and ice as blizzards continue

0:00:190:00:22

to sweep across the UK.

0:00:220:00:25

Hundreds of schools are still shut.

0:00:250:00:28

In Hampshire and Avon

and Somerset overnight,

0:00:280:00:30

snow meant people became stuck

on the roads and had

0:00:300:00:32

to sleep in their cars.

0:00:320:00:37

I've been taking a closer look

at what's been going on...

0:00:370:00:45

A week of heavy snow.

0:00:530:00:54

It's fallen thick and fast all over

the UK From London ? to Cardiff,

0:00:540:00:57

Belfast and Edinburgh.

0:00:570:00:58

The weather has closed schools,

roads and overnight hundreds

0:00:580:01:01

of people were stranded

in their cars in the

0:01:010:01:03

south west of England.

0:01:030:01:05

Even the snow ploughs

struggled to clear the roads.

0:01:050:01:13

Will we get out? Yes, of course we

will!

0:01:130:01:15

Even the snow ploughs

struggled to clear the roads.

0:01:150:01:17

For lots of you ? it s another snow

day as many schools remain closed.

0:01:170:01:20

and lots of you have been sending

us your weather reports!

0:01:200:01:25

Bite, it is Reuben speeding from

Derby. Mine and my sister's schools

0:01:250:01:31

and nursery have been closed. And

although it is fun having a day off

0:01:310:01:37

we can't go outside because of how

cold the snow is!

0:01:370:01:40

And while the snow novelty might be

wearing off for some of you ? this

0:01:400:01:43

lot are having the time

of their lives...

0:01:430:01:45

And here s one definitely

not to try at home...

0:01:450:01:48

Snow canoeing.

0:01:480:01:50

Today will be cold and windy yet

again ? with more snow showers

0:01:500:01:53

in the north-east...

0:01:530:01:54

and some in the south too...

0:01:540:01:58

next week will see temperatures

start to pick up once again.

0:01:580:02:05

Next to Florida in the US,

where kids have returned to school

0:02:050:02:09

after a serious gun attack that

happened there two weeks ago.

0:02:090:02:13

The BBC's Paul Blake went to meet

one of the students going back

0:02:130:02:16

to lessons for the first time.

0:02:160:02:19

Hey, Newsround.

0:02:190:02:21

I'm here outside a school in Florida

in the United States.

0:02:210:02:24

And it is a big day

for students here.

0:02:240:02:26

Their first day back in class

since a gun attack two weeks

0:02:260:02:30

ago that shocked people

here and around the world.

0:02:300:02:32

17 people were killed and many

others were injured and I caught up

0:02:320:02:35

with 16-year-old Lila Skinner

to ask her about how she felt

0:02:350:02:38

about going back to school.

0:02:380:02:42

It feels really weird because I feel

like I fell out of habit

0:02:420:02:46

of going to school everyday.

0:02:460:02:49

I'm still a little nervous.

0:02:490:02:51

I think eventually it will be normal

again but not the same normal

0:02:510:02:54

it was before the...

0:02:540:03:01

shooting.

0:03:010:03:02

It will probably be a new type

of normal because those 17 people

0:03:020:03:05

aren't going to be there.

0:03:050:03:06

As the students filed into class

today they were hoping

0:03:060:03:08

to return to in your life.

0:03:080:03:10

Many people came to greet

them and offer support.

0:03:100:03:13

Throughout the school day police

stood guard outside the school

0:03:130:03:15

so that all the students

and teachers would feel safe.

0:03:150:03:17

After class, Lila met up with some

of her friends and told me how

0:03:170:03:20

she felt about her first day

back on campus.

0:03:200:03:28

It was really good to

be back in my school.

0:03:280:03:31

It was great to see everyone.

0:03:310:03:37

People that we didn't even talk to,

we talked to them and we let each

0:03:370:03:43

other know that we have each other's

back, we support each other,

0:03:430:03:47

my friends and I we hang out

and we paint and laugh and make

0:03:470:03:50

jokes to make each other feel better

so we can heal properly.

0:03:500:03:53

We're very optimistic

about the future, we are going

0:03:530:03:55

to make sure everyone is OK

and we're going to find ways that

0:03:550:04:00

work for us and we're

just going to move on.

0:04:000:04:03

Now over to the sport

and for the second time in a week

0:04:080:04:11

Manchester City have beaten Arsenal

3-0, this time in the

0:04:110:04:14

Premier League, take

a look at this ...

0:04:140:04:21

Oh, it's a very cute goal!

A very

cute goal indeed.

0:04:220:04:30

City have

extended their lead at the top

0:04:300:04:31

of the table to 16 points,

0:04:310:04:33

and are now only five wins

away from the title.

0:04:330:04:35

It's a very different

picture though for Arsenal

0:04:350:04:37

who were booed by their fans, well,

the ones that turned up anyway.

0:04:370:04:40

Phil Neville made the perfect start

to his time in charge

0:04:400:04:43

of the England women's team.

0:04:430:04:45

His side thrashed France 4-1

in the SheBelieves Cup in Ohio.

0:04:450:04:48

Next up for England,

Olympic champions Germany on Sunday.

0:04:480:04:51

That's it from me.

0:04:510:04:52

I'll be right back here

in just over half an hour.
