Great Britain have been smashing world records in the swimming pool.

Some elephants causing traffic chaos.

And a lightshow that is out of this world.

As we just heard, Great Britain have been breaking records

in the swimming pool.

Olympic superstar Adam Peaty broke the 50 metre breaststroke world

record for the second time in a day as he reached the World

Aquatics Championships final in Budapest in Hungary.

22-year-old Adam is the defending champion and after winning his

semifinal he is now the first person in the world to swim faster than 26

seconds over 50 metres.

Honestly, that is...

This morning, I went 26.1, I was like it's going

to be hard to beat that.

Coming out there tonight, I was a bit nervous.

It has been such an emotional last few days.

I was like, right, get yourself up for it and do what I do.

I said I am not going to waste a day, I'm not going to waste

an opportunity because I don't know when it's going to be my last.

I just went out there and did what I do.

The cars you see on the roads everyday could be

different in 23 years.

Although they will look the same, cars that use diesel and petrol

to make them run will be replaced by electric cars.

The government say they are doing it because they want

to reduce air pollution.

Lots of people all over the UK live in tower blocks like these.

But since the massive fire at Grenfell Tower in London five

weeks ago there have been concerns about how safe they are in

the event of a fire.

Ricky has been to meet Shania who lives in a tower block in London.

Hello, Ricky.

How are you doing?

Come into my house.

How long have you lived here for?

Basically a year.

What have we got here?

This is the kitchen, the front room and the bathroom.

Wow, what a view.

This is incredible.

What is it like living here and having this view?

I love it.

The Shard is there.

After a long day at school, Shania's home and showing me

around her flat in South London.

I'm 14 and I like going out with my friends, irritating my mum,

I like going swimming, playing rugby and everything.

I've lived here for a year and I enjoy it.

I like the view, I like my bedroom, I like the bigger space,

and it's got a roof garden.

I prefer it.

Since last month's fire at Grenfell Tower, people who look

after other tower blocks around the country have been working

to make sure buildings are safe in the future and to make sure

a tragedy like that never happens again.

What was it like when the fire happened at Grenfell Tower?

Did you see it?

Yeah, I could see the smoke.

You could see the smoke?

Yeah.

Shocking.

One of the big things that has been talked

about at the Grenfell Tower fire is this stuff.

It is called cladding and it's wrapped around buildings to try

and protect it from the weather and also change

a tower's appearance.

Some experts have said the type of cladding used could have had

a part in making the fire at Grenfell Tower much worse.

The building that Shania lives in has the same type of cladding

but the company that owns it told Newsround it is going to be

taken off and replaced.

They say the fire brigade have checked the building and say

it is safe to live in right now because of all the other safety

features, including sprinklers and smoke alarms in every home.

They told us to test our fire alarms often, and be careful.

We have been given a lot of advice.

We've got sprinklers in every room.

We have been told we are safe and there is nothing

for us to worry about.

Shania and her mum have seen and heard a lot about tower blocks

since the fire at Grenfell Tower.

Many people living in blocks with cladding want the authorities

to do more to make them feel safe but Shania and

her mum say they are happy carrying on living here.

Astronaut Jack Fischer took these shots of the famous natural light

show, the Aurora Borealis.

The extraordinary view is from 250 miles above the earth and travelling

at speeds of more than 27,000 kilometers per hour.

And just time to show you this herd of wild elephants who took a wander

through a small village in China.

13 elephants stopped traffic as they spent half an hour

enjoying themselves, munching on bananas

and corn in the village.

It's not the first time that elephants have invaded the village.

They're seen as really important by the locals who let them hang out

until they were ready to move on.
