-It's a tricky one! -Why? Is the lid stuck? | 0:01:52 | 0:01:55
It certainly is. | 0:01:55 | 0:01:57
I've just got back from the shops. | 0:01:57 | 0:01:59

-It's no good! Are you after some fish? -No, I wasn't. | 0:02:12 | 0:02:16
I'm just off to the Rainbow to do a couple of jobs. | 0:02:16 | 0:02:19
-Oh, well, will you be fishing later? -I don't know, do I? | 0:02:19 | 0:02:23
Oh, I love fish, I do! | 0:02:23 | 0:02:24
Whoa, whoa, whoa! | 0:02:24 | 0:02:26
-Go on! -My honey! | 0:02:26 | 0:02:28
Come back, honey jar! Come back! | 0:02:28 | 0:02:31
Sam! Sam! Have you seen my honey jar? | 0:02:52 | 0:02:55
No. Sorry, Ernie. | 0:02:55 | 0:02:57
Oh, lolloping lobsters! Where's it gone? | 0:02:57 | 0:03:00
I'll never get my breakfast at this rate! | 0:03:00 | 0:03:03
-Hiya, Jack. -Hi, Sam. | 0:03:06 | 0:03:07
-Listen, have you seen any honey jars? -No. -Oh. | 0:03:07 | 0:03:11
Oh! Whoa! | 0:03:11 | 0:03:13
-It's not down there, Jack. -Oh! Oh! | 0:03:13 | 0:03:15
-Any ideas? -Well, there! Look, there! | 0:03:15 | 0:03:18
How did it get in there?! I'll be right back! | 0:03:18 | 0:03:20
-Sam! -Come on, Salty. | 0:03:20 | 0:03:22
This could take a while. Oh, dear me! What a commotion! | 0:03:22 | 0:03:26
Sam! Sam! | 0:03:27 | 0:03:29
-CRASH! -I'm fine. | 0:03:31 | 0:03:33
There she is - the Rainbow! | 0:03:41 | 0:03:44
What have you got for us today, my dear? | 0:03:44 | 0:03:46
TOOT-TOOT! | 0:03:46 | 0:03:48
Hey-hey! Come on, Salty. | 0:03:48 | 0:03:51
# Dee-dee, dee-dee! # | 0:03:51 | 0:03:53
Here we are. | 0:03:53 | 0:03:55
Go on, bed. That's it - you curl up in your basket. | 0:04:03 | 0:04:08
I've got a bit of fixing to do here, so don't distract me. | 0:04:08 | 0:04:11
I've got to fix this squeaky cupboard door. Listen. | 0:04:11 | 0:04:15
SQUEAK! SQUEAK! | 0:04:15 | 0:04:18
Isn't that awful? | 0:04:18 | 0:04:20
Oh! | 0:04:20 | 0:04:22 | |
Do you know, I seem to remember we had trouble with a honey jar once. | 0:04:22 | 0:04:28
Oh, yes. | 0:04:30 | 0:04:32
Right, you sit tight there, let me get comfortable | 0:04:32 | 0:04:37
and I'll tell you the story. | 0:04:37 | 0:04:39
Once upon a twinkly time, the Rainbow set off from Staithes, | 0:04:41 | 0:04:46
waved goodbye to Whitby and disappeared over the horizon. | 0:04:46 | 0:04:52
# Just Salty dog and me | 0:04:52 | 0:04:55
# Upon the silvery sea | 0:04:55 | 0:04:57
# The waves are waving The sky is blue | 0:04:57 | 0:05:00
# The sun on the water is twinkly too | 0:05:00 | 0:05:03
# It's beautiful weather Just sailing together | 0:05:03 | 0:05:06
# Just Salty Dog and me. # | 0:05:06 | 0:05:07
And then I noticed something | 0:05:09 | 0:05:11
a-bibbing and a-bobbing in the water. It looked very strange. | 0:05:11 | 0:05:16
"Salty," I cried, "That looks like a jar of honey!" | 0:05:16 | 0:05:21
Well, Salty's eyes got wider and wider. | 0:05:21 | 0:05:25
I turned around and suddenly I could see why. | 0:05:25 | 0:05:30
There wasn't just one jar of honey floating on the sea. No! | 0:05:30 | 0:05:34
There were hundreds of 'em! | 0:05:34 | 0:05:36
It was an ocean of honey jars. | 0:05:36 | 0:05:40
Well now, Salty does not like to see a messy sea, | 0:05:40 | 0:05:44
so we started collecting up all those honey jars | 0:05:44 | 0:05:48
and then we stacked them neatly on the deck. | 0:05:48 | 0:05:51
"Well, that's a job well done," I said, | 0:05:51 | 0:05:54
scratching my head like that, "but where did they come from?" | 0:05:54 | 0:05:59
And before we had a chance to think, we heard a distant cry. | 0:05:59 | 0:06:05
It was coming from a tiny desert island nearby. | 0:06:05 | 0:06:10
"Help! Help! Over here!" cried the voice. | 0:06:10 | 0:06:17
There was a lonely figure sitting on the sand | 0:06:17 | 0:06:20
with a tattered blanket round his shoulders | 0:06:20 | 0:06:22
and a very sticky hand in a honey jar. | 0:06:22 | 0:06:27
"I'm Windy Funnel," he said. | 0:06:27 | 0:06:30
"I've got a bit of a tale to tell." | 0:06:30 | 0:06:33
So we settled down to listen while Windy told his sad tale. | 0:06:33 | 0:06:39
"A few nights ago I was sitting down by the dock | 0:06:39 | 0:06:43
"playing my favourite little harp and singing | 0:06:43 | 0:06:45
"when a terrible wind whipped up. | 0:06:45 | 0:06:48
"It blew my harp out of my hands, up into the sky | 0:06:48 | 0:06:52
"and off to a distant tropical island where it got stuck in a tree! | 0:06:52 | 0:06:57
"Then it blew me right off the dock and down into the sea. | 0:06:57 | 0:07:01
"It was a nautical nightmare! | 0:07:01 | 0:07:04
"I was splashing around in the water, | 0:07:04 | 0:07:06
"floating further and further away from land, | 0:07:06 | 0:07:09
"but the wind was so windy that it just blew me further out to sea. | 0:07:09 | 0:07:14
"Just when I thought it was the end of me, what did I see? | 0:07:14 | 0:07:19
"A honey jar, right there, floating in the water, | 0:07:19 | 0:07:23
"so I grabbed hold of it and it kept me afloat, | 0:07:23 | 0:07:27
"and we bobbed and we bibbed all through the night | 0:07:27 | 0:07:31
"until I was washed up on this desert island." | 0:07:31 | 0:07:35
Well, Salty and I went to the rescue immediately, didn't we, girl? | 0:07:35 | 0:07:40
Yeah, we got Windy aboard the Rainbow and we headed for home. | 0:07:40 | 0:07:45
But as we sailed away, I noticed a dark cloud in the distance | 0:07:45 | 0:07:52
and it was buzzing. | 0:07:52 | 0:07:54
Then Salty nudged me | 0:07:54 | 0:07:57
and pointed to one of the jars of honey we had stacked on deck. | 0:07:57 | 0:08:02
The label on the honey read, | 0:08:02 | 0:08:05
"Property of the bees of Bengal Bay. Do not take these jars." | 0:08:05 | 0:08:10
"Uh-oh!" Said Salty. | 0:08:10 | 0:08:14
That wasn't an ordinary cloud. Oh, no! | 0:08:14 | 0:08:18
That was a cloud of very, very angry bees | 0:08:18 | 0:08:22
who thought we'd taken their honey! | 0:08:22 | 0:08:25
"What are we going to do?!" cried Windy. | 0:08:25 | 0:08:28
"We need to get away!" | 0:08:28 | 0:08:31
"No problem!" I cried. | 0:08:31 | 0:08:34
"Salty, stoke up the boiler, full speed ahead! | 0:08:34 | 0:08:37
"We'll outrun those bees." | 0:08:37 | 0:08:39
But when I pushed the lever to get us going, | 0:08:39 | 0:08:42
the Rainbow gave a little "splop" sound... | 0:08:42 | 0:08:46
SPLUTTER! BANG! | 0:08:46 | 0:08:48
..and stayed dead still in the water. Salty shook her head sadly. | 0:08:48 | 0:08:54
The Rainbow had broken down again. | 0:08:54 | 0:08:58
"What are we going to do?" wailed Windy. | 0:08:58 | 0:09:01
"The bees are getting closer!" | 0:09:01 | 0:09:04
And then I had an idea. | 0:09:04 | 0:09:07
"Windy, we need your blanket," I said. | 0:09:07 | 0:09:10
"We are going to make a sail." | 0:09:10 | 0:09:12
"But there's no breeze!" wailed Windy. | 0:09:12 | 0:09:15
"I know," I said. | 0:09:15 | 0:09:16
"That's why we need this - my trusty dragon whistle." | 0:09:16 | 0:09:22
So while Windy gave us his blanket | 0:09:22 | 0:09:24
and I blew hard on my dragon whistle, | 0:09:24 | 0:09:27
in no time at all Thelma the dragon joined us. | 0:09:27 | 0:09:32
Salty hoisted Windy's blanket up the mast to make the sail | 0:09:32 | 0:09:36
and I said to Thelma, "We need some wind in our sail | 0:09:36 | 0:09:40
"and there's no breeze today. Can you help?" | 0:09:40 | 0:09:45
Thelma nodded and with one mighty puff... | 0:09:45 | 0:09:50
..she blew a huge gust of wind into our sail | 0:09:52 | 0:09:55
and off we shot across the ocean! | 0:09:55 | 0:09:59
But as fast as we travelled over the water, | 0:09:59 | 0:10:01
those angry bees kept up the chase! | 0:10:01 | 0:10:04
Closer and closer they came! | 0:10:04 | 0:10:05
BUZZ! | 0:10:05 | 0:10:07 | |
"What are we going to do?" wailed Windy AGAIN! | 0:10:07 | 0:10:12
And suddenly we heard another sound. | 0:10:12 | 0:10:15
It wasn't the buzzing of the bees, it wasn't Windy wailing, | 0:10:15 | 0:10:19
it was the sound of a magical harp. | 0:10:19 | 0:10:23
I took out my trusty telescope and peered into it, | 0:10:23 | 0:10:26
and there in the distance was the tropical island | 0:10:26 | 0:10:31
and there was his harp, still stuck in a palm tree! | 0:10:31 | 0:10:36
The breeze that Thelma was making was blowing through the strings, | 0:10:36 | 0:10:40
making sweet, sweet music. | 0:10:40 | 0:10:42
HARP PLAYS SWEET MUSIC | 0:10:42 | 0:10:44
"My harp!" cried Windy. | 0:10:44 | 0:10:47
Then Salty gave a little tug at my sleeve and I looked round | 0:10:47 | 0:10:52
and what a sight did I see! | 0:10:52 | 0:10:55
Oh-ho-ho-ho! | 0:10:55 | 0:10:57
The angry bees had stopped chasing us. | 0:10:57 | 0:11:01
In fact, they weren't even angry any more. | 0:11:01 | 0:11:04
The magical music from Windy's harp had worked like a charm on them, | 0:11:04 | 0:11:10
and they now softly buzzed around, listening to the music | 0:11:10 | 0:11:15
and gently flapping their little bee wings and humming. | 0:11:15 | 0:11:20
"It's your harp, Windy!" I exclaimed. "It IS magical!" | 0:11:22 | 0:11:27
Well, now that the bees weren't angry any more | 0:11:27 | 0:11:31
and we could give them all their honey pots back, | 0:11:31 | 0:11:33
they were very grateful. | 0:11:33 | 0:11:35
We said goodbye to Thelma... "Bye-bye!" | 0:11:35 | 0:11:39
..and she flew off into the sky | 0:11:39 | 0:11:42
and the first breeze of the day gently filled Windy's blanket | 0:11:42 | 0:11:47
and we sailed back home again to the sound of his magical harp. | 0:11:47 | 0:11:52
It was good, wasn't it, eh, Salty? | 0:11:52 | 0:11:56
Ha-ha! What a trip! Ho-ho-ho-ho! | 0:11:56 | 0:11:58
You liked that story, Salty, did you? | 0:12:08 | 0:12:11
It's all true, of course, even the bees. | 0:12:11 | 0:12:13
BUZZ! | 0:12:13 | 0:12:14 | |
Oh! | 0:12:14 | 0:12:16 | |
Oh, Salty, look at that! | 0:12:16 | 0:12:18
Ha-ha-ha-ha! | 0:12:18 | 0:12:20
That looks like Ernie's breakfast! | 0:12:22 | 0:12:24
Ho-ho-ho! | 0:12:24 | 0:12:25
Oh! Ha! Do you know what? | 0:12:25 | 0:12:28
All that rolling around the village must have loosened it up. | 0:12:28 | 0:12:31
Come on, let's go and find Ernie. | 0:12:31 | 0:12:33
Ho-ho-ho! | 0:12:33 | 0:12:35
-Ernie! -Oh! | 0:12:41 | 0:12:44
You're a miracle worker, Jack! You've found it! | 0:12:44 | 0:12:47
-I think Salty might have had a paw in it, as well. -Aw! | 0:12:47 | 0:12:51
Well, I managed to get it back off Sam, | 0:12:51 | 0:12:54
but then I dropped it on my way home. | 0:12:54 | 0:12:57
Ah, well, now for some breakfast! | 0:12:57 | 0:13:00
Why don't you pull up a fish crate and join me for honey on toast? | 0:13:00 | 0:13:04
Isn't your toaster back at the house? | 0:13:04 | 0:13:07
Ah! | 0:13:07 | 0:13:08 | |
And the bread? | 0:13:08 | 0:13:10
-Ah. -You haven't thought this through, have you, Ernie? | 0:13:10 | 0:13:13
-No. -No. | 0:13:13 | 0:13:14
Well, what you should do is to shut up shop for about an hour, | 0:13:14 | 0:13:17
get yourself over to the Mermaid Cafe | 0:13:17 | 0:13:20
because Shelly does a lovely toast and honey. | 0:13:20 | 0:13:22
-She does. -She does. | 0:13:22 | 0:13:24
-You know what? -What? -I think I will! -Right. | 0:13:24 | 0:13:27
Whoop! Ha-ha! | 0:13:27 | 0:13:28
Mwah! Honey! | 0:13:28 | 0:13:31
Uh-oh! Bees! | 0:13:31 | 0:13:32
BUZZ! BUZZ! | 0:13:32 | 0:13:34
Argh! Argh! Aaargh! Oooh! Aaargh! | 0:13:34 | 0:13:37
Come on, Salty, let's catch him up. | 0:13:37 | 0:13:39
Oooh! Aaargh! | 0:13:39 | 0:13:41
