-Oh, sorry, love.

0:01:360:01:40

There's Dorothy's strawberry jam.

0:01:400:01:43

Dad, if strawberry jam comes from strawberry plants,

0:01:430:01:46

does honey come from honey plants? JESS GROANS

0:01:460:01:50

No. Honey comes from...

-Meow!

0:02:330:02:36

Hello.

0:02:360:02:38

Er...I come in peace. Do you need to phone home?

0:02:380:02:43

-Hello, Pat.

-Ben, it's you. Oh!

0:02:450:02:48

Are you going to a fancy dress party?

0:02:480:02:51

No! It's a beekeeper's outfit.

0:02:510:02:54

It protects you from bee stings when you're looking after bees.

0:02:540:02:57

-And you're going to need one for your special delivery.

-Oh?

-Come and see.

0:02:590:03:05

Meow?

0:03:070:03:09

-Wow! A beehive!?

-That's right. It's for Ralph at Thompson Ground.

0:03:100:03:17

But aren't bees quite...dangerous?

0:03:170:03:20

No, they won't hurt you so long as you don't irritate them

0:03:200:03:24

or scare them.

0:03:240:03:27

Here, put this on and we'll load them into the van.

0:03:270:03:29

BUZZING

0:03:400:03:42

There.

0:03:460:03:47

Great. I'll leave the door half open so the bees will have enough air.

0:03:470:03:52

-Perfect.

-Right, Jess, let's get these bees to their new home.

0:03:540:04:00

Meow!

0:04:000:04:02

Special delivery service is on the move.

0:04:020:04:05

0:04:050:04:07

Ted's delivering the new hanging baskets later on today.

0:04:070:04:10

Och.

0:04:100:04:12

-I've made the hanging baskets for years.

-And they're lovely. Really.

0:04:120:04:17

Och, you're very kind. They'll just go to waste, though.

0:04:170:04:21

It's a shame no-one else wants them. DOOR OPENS

0:04:210:04:24

Oh, hello, everyone.

0:04:240:04:26

Have you got any glass jars for honey, Mrs Goggins?

0:04:260:04:30

Honey! How nice.

0:04:300:04:32

Are you keeping bees, then?

0:04:320:04:34

Yes. Oh, I'm ever so excited.

0:04:340:04:37

-I've always wanted to keep honey bees.

-Oh, yes, me, too.

0:04:380:04:43

Although I've got such a sweet tooth

0:04:430:04:45

I'd probably eat all the honey in one go!

0:04:450:04:48

Er, you're, um... sweet enough, Sylvia.

0:04:480:04:53

There you are.

0:04:530:04:54

And I've got a lovely honey flapjack recipe.

0:04:540:04:59

There. That's the last of the small ones. Have you got it?

0:08:290:08:34

-Yeah...

-Just.

0:08:340:08:38

They really are beautiful, Mrs Goggins.

0:08:380:08:41

-What's going to happen to them?

-Och, I don't know.

0:08:410:08:46

-I think they're just going to be thrown away.

-What a shame.

0:08:460:08:50

-May I have one for the surgery?

-And we'd love to have a couple at school.

0:08:500:08:55

-Wouldn't we, kids?

0:10:570:11:01

I've been reading online about bees, and it says that

0:11:010:11:04

when they're flying outside of the hive like this, it's called swarming.

0:11:040:11:08

Swarming?

0:11:080:11:10

Yes, and when they're swarming,

0:11:100:11:12

they're looking for somewhere new to live.

0:11:120:11:15

Great. Thanks, Ben.

0:11:350:11:39

It says here that bees are attracted to flowers with lots of pollen.

0:11:390:11:44

-They use the nectar from the flowers to make honey.

-Flowers, eh?

0:11:440:11:48

Thanks, Ben. I'll keep an eye out.

0:11:480:11:51

0:12:430:12:46

Why...why are they here?

0:12:460:12:49

-I dunno.

-I do! They're following those flowers.

0:12:490:12:53

-But they're causing a public disturbance.

-Don't worry, Arthur.

0:12:530:12:57

I've got an idea.

0:13:260:13:29

Now, let's get these bees to Thompson Ground where they belong.

0:13:290:13:33

-Oh, Pat. Be careful.

-It's all right, Dorothy.

0:13:430:13:48

-There.

-Well done, Pat!

-Hooray!

-Well done, Dad!

-Well done, Pat!

0:13:480:13:53

Look. That bee's going inside the hive.

0:13:550:13:59

That'll be the queen bee.

0:13:590:14:01

If she goes into the hive, everyone else will follow her. See?

0:14:010:14:05

-Looks like the bees love your hanging basket, Mrs Goggins.

-Och, yes.

0:14:090:14:14

-A new home for it.
