public and access to the best special effects artists

in the world.

AND imagine if a panel of ranksters thinks your prank is so good,

you'll get to stage a mega prank

on a target of your choice.

Well, quit imagining -

this is Rank The Prank.

Who's battling it today?

Let's meet the green team.

-I'm Chelsea.

-And I'm Kailey.

BOTH: And we are

the Pretty Perfect Pranksters.

My sister is a daredevil and she loves to sing.

My sister Kailey, she dances around the house a lot,

so when I'm doing my homework I can hear her tap dancing!

Not many people expect us to prank people.

I mean, look at these faces!

Our prank idea is to turn

-a popsicle vendor into an actual human popsicle.

-It's perfect.

We're probably going to want to mega prank our hip-hop class

because we think it will be really fun and they're also very gullible.

BOTH: # I can sing I can dance... #

AND I can prank.

But can you do a dance-sing-prank?

Not if the blue team have anything to do with it.

-I'm Maya.

-I'm Anjali.

BOTH: We are team Shenanigans.

We've known each other since we were about five,

so we're kind of more like sisters.

Whenever we get together,

we just have a really good time.

We come up with all these ideas.

She's one of my weirdest friends.

And she's also very weird.

Hi!

For our prank, we want customers to think that

a monkey is running its own business.

They'll probably be surprised,

but I think they'll be pretty happy in the end.

Our mega prank target is our drama teacher Susan.

We think it would be really fun

to prank her because she would

have a really great reaction to it.

-We're smart.

-We're sneaky.

-And if you don't watch out...

-BOTH: ..we could prank you!

OK, you've made your point!

Now to make their pranks really come to life.

Effectors, come out, come out,

wherever you are!

I'm Marc Reichel, special effects supervisor.

I've been in the business for 15 years. I love it.

We travel the world, play with fire and explosives.

I can build pretty much anything.

We've got so much stuff here,

I don't know what half of it does any more. Like this.

Uh! Better make a note of that.

The question isn't what CAN we do, it's what CAN'T we do?

HE PLAYS BADLY

-I can't play the trombone.

-But you CAN play the fool! Nice one, Marc.

So who's his perfect partner to bring these pranks to life?

I'm Adrien Morot and I do

special effects make-up and prosthetics for movies.

I've worked on over 100 movies,

tonnes of TV shows from zombies to mutants to monsters - everything.

I really get excited about what I do. Weird, awesome, cool stuff.

That's what I do.

Come on, pranksters, give me an idea and I'll serve you

a slice of pepperoni and prank like you've never seen before.

That's Hollywood special effects with extra cheese on order!

Now for today's prank location - a public park.

All right, teams - welcome.

-Pretty Perfect Pranksters, Shenanigans.

-You guys are

unaware of what the other team has in the bag for you.

Pretty Perfect Pranksters, let's get going.

So our prank is at a popsicle food truck.

Someone will be ordering a popsicle,

but then the machine starts to not work and the vendor tells the

lady to go and press the gas so the machine will work again.

Then she presses on it and there's a lot of blue fog everywhere.

Then all of a sudden, the girl turns into an actual popsicle and

the person comes back and sees her frozen and is like, "What did I do?"

I think that would be pretty hard to convey,

like a person turning into a popsicle.

All right, let's see what you guys have.

A few people will walk up to a food truck that has a sign that says

"free popcorn" and there will be

a button that says "press for service".

When they press the button, a monkey will pop up from the counter.

The popcorn will rain down

and they will have to try and catch the popcorn.

Once we heard their prank, we weren't, like...

-We weren't that intimidated.

-Yeah.

-Who do you think is going to win?

-We are!

We are!

You guys hang out, we'll be with you later. Why don't we start with you?

Let's go this way.

So we have a monkey running a popcorn stand

versus a human ice pop,

but only one team can go through to stage the mega prank and only

the ranksters will decide who faces the ejector button of doom.

It's time for the Pretty Perfect Pranksters to prank it up.

Perfect Pranksters came to us with the idea that they want to have

a food truck and we're going

to have it as if their ice cream

machine in the truck is broken.

We'll have all this smoke and snow

and the server will have

changed into a human popsicle.

-Check it - what do you think of your truck, girls?

-Awesome!

-I really love it, the Pretty Perfect Popsicles.

-Works for you?

We're going to create a winter wonderland,

a mini blizzard inside that truck.

You see that red switch down on the ground? Can you flick it for me?

Is this snow?

-Now check this out. Your smoke.

-Whoa!

And then that...

..coupled with this...

And then we'll throw some other stuff in there, too.

BOTH: We weren't expecting it!

This is all the exact same stuff we use on the big Hollywood

shows and we're just downsizing it to fit inside a food truck.

We're going to be turning an

accomplice into a human popsicle.

The way we'll do this is we'll have twins.

-Whoa!

-This is cool!

This is our frozen popsicle lady.

How does it stick?

We're going to use hairspray to make it stick.

-Do we just, like, sprinkle it?

-That's it.

Fake snow made out of Styrofoam...

And it was all grinded up and it looked awesome.

What we'll do is use this jelly here, it looks like ice.

You see you can do some cool...? There you go.

-We got to put this gel all over her.

-My hands are still sticky.

Snowy boogers, right there.

We're at our ice cream truck right now with Melanie,

our ice cream vendor.

And then we'll have a burst of gas and then we'll have her twin

-sister Megan to play the frozen one.

-That's really cool.

-That's awesome!

-It's coming to life and it's so awesome.

-We're going to win.

Yeah, we're going to pull it off, like really good.

Well, let's hope so. It's time for the first public prank.

The hidden cameras are rolling and the pranksters are in the

control room ready to direct the action.

We could do a victory dance.

It would just feel really good for us to win.

Pretty Perfect Pranksters presents Human Popsicle.

It's just a normal day at the park.

But little do people know,

vouchers for free ice cream come with a very frosty twist.

-Somebody's coming.

-OK.

Oh, hi, are you here for the free popsicles?

He's ordering his popsicle.

You can actually help me out. I've actually just started.

Can you just turn the gas lever for me?

-All the way down - the yellow lever.

-OK!

He said a bad word!

There's smoke coming out.

Why's this smoke starting? Where's that coming from?

Now there has to be more smoke.

OK!

It's...so cold!

What did you do?! What did you do?

Would you like a free popsicle, sir?

Can you flip the yellow lever right there?

-Something's going wrong in your kitchen.

-Don't touch...!

So cold...

'Everybody reacted.'

They all seemed so shocked.

Get out!

OK, let's go.

Let's go tell them that they've been pranked!

There's a camera there.

-Right over there!

-BOTH: And you just got pranked by Rank The Prank!

-Did I? Congratulations, you got me!

-Thank you.

-Great! Good job!

-You're a bunch of scammers.

It was mainly, like, the explosion that kind of scared me.

I was just like, "What am I supposed to do now?"

It worked perfectly.

I think we've got it in the bag.

Now I'm, like, this confident.

Actually, no, no, I'm not.

I'm this confident!

You girls just chill out,

because now it's time for the blue team to go ape.

We are really excited to see what The Effectors have made.

The Shenanigans' idea is really funny.

It's about, like, a monkey running its own popcorn stand.

The most challenging part of this prank

is actually to make that monkey look as real as possible.

We're going to have this actor coming here.

He's going to have, like, dentures

that look like actual monkeys' teeth,

contact lenses and then all the hair work.

You're going to believe there's a real monkey there.

-Hey, there.

-Hi.

Wow. That is really cool.

You see his eyes?

-He had, like, orange eyes, cos he has contacts.

-Contact lenses.

That is cool.

And this is the mask that we've made for you.

So let's try this on.

That looks awesome!

Can you move your face?

Oh, yeah, there we go.

We were really surprised after he put the mask on

about how realistic it looked.

HE SCREECHES AND WHOOPS

So what we're planning on doing for it

is we're going to build some giant popcorn boxes,

and when the target says, "Hey, I want my free popcorn,"

we'll say, "No problem."

We're going to launch that free popcorn in the air

and just have popcorn raining down from above.

Do you know what these are?

-Are they the popcorn canons?

-Bingo!

Oopla!

There's one.

-What it does is you fill this up full of air...

-OK.

..and it releases all the pressure built up inside this tank

and it goes boom.

'They're going to, like, shoot the popcorn up'

and it will probably spray everyone with popcorn!

-Are we ready?

-Yes!

BOTH: Action!

-That was awesome!

-Yeah?

-That was really cool.

I think we definitely have a chance at winning.

They may be the Pretty Perfects,

but I think we're pretty awesome.

That's fighting talk!

So now it's time for the second public prank.

The hidden cameras are set,

Adrien's got the monkey ready...

I think the prank's on me.

..and the pranksters are in the control room.

'I'm a little nervous...'

but I'm a lot more excited.

A normal popcorn stand, right?

Someone's coming.

Wrong!

Because their newest and hairiest employee

is about to pop onto the scene.

Cue the monkey.

SHE SCREAMS

Oh, don't worry about him. That's just Orville.

The monkey looked really realistic.

He absolutely loves popcorn.

You want to feed him some popcorn?

Yeah, he wants some popcorn - give it to him.

'It was, like, really cool to watch,'

because she actually thought that he was a monkey.

Give it to him!

There you go, yeah.

Some of the reactions we really, really liked.

Some of them screamed their heads off.

SHE SHRIEKS

Ooh!

Cue the monkey, now!

HE LAUGHS

It's working, it's working, it's working!

'They had a great prank.'

There's a shock value and then there's a twist.

You want free popcorn? All right. Grab this bucket.

Now you just hold it up and say, "Free popcorn."

-Thanks for the popcorn, man.

-Cue the popcorn.

It was really cool to watch. We got a lot of laughs.

Orville, where are you going? Orville!

Our prank went really, really, really well.

It looked super cool and I really enjoyed it.

The Pretty Perfect Pranksters was really cool because I didn't

even realise that they'd switched.

How did that person put on all those icicles in, like, three seconds?

My favourite part about the Shenanigans' prank was when

the monkey jumped out - people, like, really reacted.

I never actually saw a prank like that but it was funny and cute.

We loved both pranks but we made a decision.

The Ranksters' votes have been cast.

We are very confident. We could beat them very easily.

And one team will be going home.

I think we definitely have a chance at winning.

While the other goes on to stage a Mega Prank.

Green or blue, Ranksters, it's down to you!

We have made our decision.

Even though we didn't win,

it's not going to be the end of us doing pranks and having fun.

of epic proportion.

-Our Mega Prank target, our dance friends.

We know them because we dance with them. We act with them.

They usually go to auditions and they are very serious because

they are very, like, professional when it comes to auditions.

Some of them might try really hard because they really want to

get the job.

We picked this target because they are very gullible and we've known

them for a long time and I don't think they are expecting it from us.

Watch out, the Pretty Perfect Pranksters are out to get you.

Now for the location, a music venue.

Special effectors, time to sprinkle some of that prank magic.

OK, guys. We are so excited.

We were wondering what you guys have in store for our Mega Prank.

All right, Pretty Perfect Pranksters,

here's what we have planned for you today.

As you know, we are pranking your hip-hop class today.

Your class is coming to do an audition for a TV commercial

about water safety and we are going to have this old guy,

who's going to be hanging out around the place as if

he's the maintenance guy or the handyman.

Eventually he's going to try and just take over the class

because he's had enough of your choreography,

saying, "You don't know what you're doing, man.

"I can do a better job than that."

So, we have a super-good actor and he's a hip-hop dancer as well

and I'M making him up to our be elderly handyman.

So, he's going to start dancing and we're going to open up the show.

We'll have confetti cannons going everywhere,

we're going to have my buddies from Shades of Culture on stage, singing.

-What you do think?

-Yeah.

-I like it.

-Really cool.

-Do you think your class is going to be fooled?

-Yeah.

-Definitely.

Excellent.

To make this prank possible, I had to do a life cast of the actor,

sculpt in old-age make-up and today we're ready to apply that make-up.

-Wow! Your face looks different!

-How old do you think I am?

-82.

82? All right, then, I'm 82.

The detail on the old man's face is just like really wrinkly.

-It's very realistic.

-He looks like an actual old man.

Hello there!

We built six oversized confetti cannons and we're going to

cover the place in confetti. We've got this air cannon here.

-We'll fill it full of confetti.

-Yeah.

The confetti in our prank is going to be amazing and it's going to go

all over the place. It's going to be big.

-Are we full?

-Maybe just a little more.

-A little more.

Right now I'm feeling psyched, I'm feeling excited.

And I'm feeling just amazed by everything that's going on.

Calling all prank fans, it's the moment you've been waiting for,

the Mega Prank.

Right, here comes the hip-hop class.

-Are you guys going to rock this?

-ALL: Yeah!

All right, let's go.

They think they're here to audition for a TV commercial.

Little do they know,

it's all a set-up and we are recording their every move.

Here we go, everyone.

The choreographer is ready to receive our targets and

our handyman is in position.

Let's just hope Chelsea and Kailey can keep it together.

-I was pretty nervous.

-But also excited, too.

The very first thing we're going to do is something called

the running man.

They saw, like, these weird dance moves

and their faces were like, "OK!"

-But they were trying to be serious at the same time.

-Go!

Don't run, don't run, don't run around the pool.

Don't run, don't run around the pool! Don't run!

OK, OK.

Epic failure.

So, number two.

Don't scream, don't scream in the pool.

Don't scream!

But how will they react to our pretend old man

getting in on the action?

Excuse me, what are you doing?

When he was, like, copying the moves, it was hilarious.

I'm just having a little fun.

Yeah, well, you know, this is important, what we're doing here.

Well, you said you were teaching them hip-hop.

It doesn't like hip-hop, what you're doing.

Do you want to see some dance moves I used to use back in the '80s?

We were afraid of prosthetics and everything.

Like maybe they would fall off or maybe they wouldn't believe it.

OK, we call this the moonwalk. Yes, that's it!

Oh!

I heard him fall and I heard someone go, "Oh!"

-I thought he busted a hip.

-Fine, I'm fine!

During the prank, we were just playing along.

We were acting, just like them.

Let me help you upstairs.

-My dancing clothes. I need my dancing...

-I'll be back, kids.

-Adrian's prosthetics are really hitting the mark.

-Guys, just stand.

These guys are completely oblivious they are being pranked.

I told you I'd be back with my dancing clothes!

What museum did you steal that out of?

Time to really blow their minds as our professional hip-hop dancer,

Alex, busts some moves that even the fittest 82-year-old

would struggle to pull off.

HIP-HOP MUSIC

Wait a minute!

When all of the dancing happened, they were like,

they were just like, "OK."

"What the heck is going on?"

-What?

-Still got it!

But what hip-hop Mega Prank would be mega

without a huge explosion and our very own hip-hop group?

Mark, do your thing!

DANCERS SCREAM

You just got pranked!

Everybody in the house, make some noise. Put your hands up with me.

My favourite moment, I think, was when the confetti cannons went off.

-Someone screamed.

-Some were puzzled.

-There we go!

We're putting our noses to the grindstone,

leaving minds blown and headphones.

With the dance and the confetti and everybody was just like, "Wow!"

We've got a real party!
