Welcome to Glee Club.

Last time, #BOOM, Hi' JinX, React, Musicality and Inferno

wowed the judges to book their place in the studio heats.

None of us could stop smiling and that tells me something.

Today our last eight acts will perform.

But who's got what it takes to get through to the next round?

This is Sport Relief Does Glee Club 2014.

Hello and welcome back to Sport Relief Does Glee Club, and the third

and final judges' audition show.

Last time we saw eight groups battle it

out for a place in the studio heats, but only five made it through.

Today the last eight groups will perform for the judges,

all hoping they've got what it takes to become the winners of

Sport Relief Does Glee Club 2014.

The search for Britain's best young singing

and dancing group took us all over the UK.

Let's have a look back at some of the acts who came to visit us

on the Sport Relief Does Glee Club tour.

John and the team travelled the length

and breadth of the country to find the best singing and

dancing talent the UK has to offer.

First stop, the Northeast of England and Newcastle.

Hello. Hello.

Next stop was Glasgow, where John was checking out the talent

North of the border.

# It's not about the money, money, money. #

Then it was straight back down to Manchester with more groups

giving it their all.

John and the team then headed off to London

to see what the Glee Clubs in the capital city could come up with.

Let's go listen to some music.

Next they were off to Bristol to check out

the best of the West Country's glee clubs before heading to

Cardiff to see what was on offer there.

Bye-bye, Cardiff. Who's next?

Then it was a quick trip across to Belfast to see what the

Northern Irish glee clubs could come up with before heading down to

Brighton to complete the talent search of the UK.

The standard was high,

but it was then up to John to select 24 successful Glee Clubs

who were invited to perform again at the judges' auditions.

We saw groups from across the country

but the one thing they all had in common was that they wanted

the chance to perform in front of our experts. Let's meet them.

It's our judges.

Carrie and David are two of the UK's best known celebrity vocal coaches.

-That was fantastic.

-That was a world-class performance.

They've worked with pop artists including Take That,

The Saturdays, Marvin Humes and even Gwyneth Paltrow.

Celebrity vocal and performance coach John has worked with

a variety of stars including JLS, Leona Lewis,

Olly Murs and Frankie Sandford.

He's also worked behind the scenes on top shows like The voice

and the X Factor.

Helping Carrie, David and John decide who should go through

to the heats were some very special expert guests.

Let's meet them.

Soul singer and presenter Dionne Bromfield has been

nominated for a MOBO award, has recorded two albums,

and also finds time to present CBBC's Friday Download.

Is that another one you play on the Breakfast Show?

I do play that on the radio as well.

That's so in sync.

West End star Kerry Ellis has had lead roles in Wicked,

Les Miserables, We Will Rock You and Oliver

and is also a successful recording artist.

And finally, Strictly Come Dancing professional Erin Boag has

put many celebrities through their paces, wowed audiences with

her dance moves, and stars regularly in spectacular sell-out shows.

So many groups applied for Sport Relief Does Glee Club

that I lost count,

but only the top 24 made it to the judges' auditions.

There are only five places remaining in the studio heats

so there is everything to sing for.

Let's meet the first of today's acts.

Whoo!

-Right, next up we have The Gleeks.

-Love it.

Yeah, saw them in London, they are very Glee Club.

'I really like these kids. They are like Family Von Trapp.

'They have chosen the right kind of song as well.'

And I find that their performance level and energy just,

it was so good, I kept watching them.

So I hope you have the same feeling.

-ALL: Yes.

-We spell it out as well.

Now you've said it you are going to have to do it. Go for it.

-Yes.

One of the hardest things with musical theatre, glee club,

is to not, one, do too much dancing,

two, make sure the dancing doesn't get in the way of the singing.

And I felt that you absolutely had that in perfect balance.

I loved the choreography. It didn't impinge on the vocals.

The vocals were still strong. You didn't sound out of breath.

Absolutely great. Loved it.

-ALL:

-Thank you.

-Well done, guys.

-Who

would have thought of beatboxing, spelling out the words,

staggering the words?

You doing a counter melody to it on the last chorus?

It was just nuts. You made an old song sound really young. I loved it.

ALL: Thank you.

What was really nice, performance wise,

you mixed the moves with the songs, so it was one performance.

It was not, "This is the dance and this is the song." It was one show.

I loved it. I thought you guys were great.

ALL: Thank you.

Now I have to ask you because you've barely said a word

since you've arrived. You looked really nervous before you went in.

-How was it?

-It was all right.

-It felt natural.

-It did feel natural. They weren't overdoing it.

It wasn't, "This is a show." It was very spontaneous, almost.

It was great.

And I think because of that you could see them adapting -

-if they're given a pop song they would cope with it.

-Definitely.

Anybody who's going to win is going to have to beat this quality.

Because this was quality.

OK, so the next group is A-List.

I'm very excited about these guys.

You might remember some of the members from a group last

-year called Activ8.

-I remember them.

Yes, and I really felt they should come back.

They brought these new guys in

'and I think it's mixed it up a little bit.'

It's very good. You've definitely given me something to think about.

I think we're more calm this year

because we kind of know a bit more what we are expecting.

We are all just here to enjoy it and not be nervous.

Just being really excited because it's a big opportunity.

We just want to take advantage of it.

What did you think?

It was a good performance. It was a good performance.

Looking at you, it's sort of like a cross between Grease...

THEY LAUGH

..with a bit of vogue movements in there.

And I loved the choreography that you had.

You just needed a bit more punch in your performance.

But it's there as a package.

You just need a bit more of what you are doing.

Thank you.

The thing with you guys that I absolutely love is I can

close my eyes and I know it's you singing.

You have a very distinct sound as a unit.

Your ensemble, your solos are very good.

You need to start believing in yourself.

And you need to actually show that when you're performing.

Thank you.

Watching you, though, for me it just lacks snap. It lacks energy.

And so somehow you've got to get those vocals attached

to the visual presentation, but vocally really beautiful.

-ALL:

-Thank you.

-How do you feel after that?

-Really happy.

We were quite pleased that they liked all our vocals and stuff

because the harmonies and stuff, we all tried really hard.

It was good. All the judges kind of agreed on what we need to work on.

Maybe they need to perform more

in front of people which might give them the confidence,

rather than just perform in a studio.

And that's quite different when you're performing to a wall,

compared to performing to an audience In front of you.

# Price tag. #

So both The Gleeks and A-List were complimented on their unique

sounds, but will this help them stand out at decision time?

Coming up, another two groups are hoping to impress the judges

with their singing and dancing skills.

I believed every word you sung. You did it with a lot of passion.

Your eyes tend to wander.

Then I get a bit nervous that something is going to go wrong.

If you work on it you will be doing something

that no other glee club is doing.

# Roar. #

The next group is Raw Mania. I saw these girls in London.

They are quite girl band-ish.

I like the look of you guys.

They could be really brilliant with a little bit of time,

a little bit of polishing.

-Tell me your glee club name.

-ALL:

-Raw Mania.

-Raw Mania, why have you chosen that?

-We felt it's like individual.

No-one else has it so it's our own special name.

It's two kinds of "raws".

It's like a "raw" in the way of "unique"

and then it's "roar" like a lion. Like we're feisty.

We're also singing Raw, Katy Perry, so...

Ah! It all ties in.

-Did they do you proud?

-They did me very proud.

I'm very proud of them all.

I really like you, I thought you had attitude,

there was a Girl Power vibe.

You all look really good.

Really tight as a group,

and I could see you and go "I know how to package you girls."

You've all got wicked voices.

But, in the chorus,

I would have liked to see you doing it without harmonies.

I thought it would have been nicer

if you were just singing that one melody instead of harmonising.

But other than that, I thought you were really good.

-ALL:

-Thank you.

What I really love is that you really tell the story...

That song, I believed every word you sung, you did it with passion.

You put heart and soul into it. And it showed.

When you just stood together at the end there, and you had that great

"Yeah! This is us!", your vocals were bang on,

your faces were there, the power, the attitude,

the passion, was all there.

That is your strength. Play to your strength.

Thank you.

How was it when you were standing up there, how did it feel?

It felt... It felt really good.

Being on stage and performing our songs.

-Especially as we are like, together.

-Yeah.

We have been together for five months now,

so it's been a really good experience.

Are they ready for the ferocity of the competition?

There are some people who will be going to the next round who

are incredibly strong.

Are they ready to take the step up which they'll have to take?

The next group is Abstract. I saw these girls in London, very unique.

Different... That 1950s Chordettes sound. Mr Sandman.

I really like them and I'll be surprised if you don't.

I'm grateful that you came prepared,

it sounds like you have worked hard.

Love your style, it's very French. It's lovely, who chose that?

It just feels right with the song as well. I don't know why?

Can I ask one question?

If you were going to do a Little Mix song, say you're given one,

how would you adapt that?

Would you decide to do it their style, or would you stick with this?

I think we would probably still try and keep it this style, because

this style is quite different and makes us different to other groups.

I'm really glad you have just said that.

Because then it's like, "OK, they are no longer the '50s thing".

I think that is such a unique selling point,

if that was your style across every song you tried to sing...

You fascinate and interest me.

We'll keep to that style, then.

If you work on it,

you'll be doing something that no other Glee club is doing.

-This makes you unique, this makes you stand out.

-ALL:

-Thank you.

I think you had a few timing issues.

Your dancing choreography.

What gave it away...

Obviously you could see it, but your eyes tend to wander.

Then I get a bit nervous that something's going to go wrong.

Just be careful of that.

Be confident of what you are doing.

I'm do proud of you guys, you did so well,

we worked so hard on this style, and you all came together.

I'm so proud!

It's a really unusual choice.

It's not just unusual, I think the way they started,

if they can get confidence...

the level of confidence...into the whole performance that they

had in the beginning.

They will be outstanding.

and the year before, we just wanted a new sound.

Especially with Adam. Adam's got a great voice.

Excellent, I'm really impressed.

Particularly with all of your soloists.

They are so strong.

That's four out of five of you...all your individual

stuff was great. You two girls on the end, so much vocal identity,

I would know your voices immediately if I heard them again.

As a group, you need to work on your choreography,

look at what you're doing physically, and let it m match

the strength of the vocals, cos the vocals are really strong.

Every now and again, every time you had to do a new move,

I could see a bit of concern about,

"Where exactly are we going?"

Your focus came off just pure performance.

Which I think may be to do with actually spending more time

on the choreography cos, vocally, I loved what you did.

Yeah, I agree with these guys completely on all points

in terms of the energy and the performance.

Just believing in yourself. But I have to give you credit.

You three girls from last series, you've stepped up.

And it's really, really good.

And the two new additions, very good additions to the group.

See, you're the only boy, but you're definitely, definitely strong,

strong, strong. I'm very glad I brought you guys back.

They've got so much potential. It's the sound.

Just closing your eyes, when you really hear them together,

they do have that real, incredible recorded sound.

And you might actually recognise some of the members

from Allsorts last series.

But they have come back and they've said they are new and improved.

And I actually really did like their sound. They're very Glee-esque.

-They are so good.

Do you know what I loved about you guys as a group is that the song

that you picked and the choreography that you did told a story.

And it made me feel what you were doing, which was lovely.

But what I felt also was that you lacked a slight bit of confidence.

Just a little bit. And...

But I think you guys are great, and you've made it this far.

You've got to believe in yourselves.

Because then your confidence will shine through.

-ALL:

I feel like I've just watched an anti-bullying play.

And that, for me, is absolutely fantastic.

I felt you really conveyed that.

I felt you used the nerves to actually tell the story.

And, for me, I was really entertained and informed.

I think that you probably need to practise the vocals more.

And, more than anything, be really confident.

It's hard to say, "Be confident," but you should be.

You should be believing in yourselves ten times more than you do.

You're much better than you realise you are. So, well done. Well done.

The main thing was they were saying you need to be more confident.

They were saying you got it, you just need to believe in yourselves.

I love the scope of their ambition.

And I think, for the most part, they pulled it off.

-In terms of glee clubs, they are very glee club.

-They are.

I mean, they are enjoyable. They do have energy, they do have dynamic.

They can build, they can grow.

With Tenacity and Unity 7 both needing to work on their confidence,

neither is guaranteed a place in the studio heats.

Next, the final two groups take to the stage.

Will Young Vibe and BuSKerS do enough to impress the judges?

I want you to think about making it slightly less shouty.

Your voice is gorgeous.

When you came out, actually, I didn't expect you to be that good.

Right, next up, we have Young Vibe, and they're from Manchester.

And they are exactly that - young and vibey.

They basically have a great age demographic as well.

Kind of like older sister, younger sister kind of thing going.

Outfits are great, sound is great, loads of energy.

I think they were worth bringing back.

-Cute Vibe.

-Good, really good, because they've worked so hard.

You've got very strong voices. Very strong.

When you're together, it sounds wicked.

But, yeah, I thought it was really good. I liked how you split up,

and you were kind of saying it to each other,

it made interesting to watch, it wasn't boring at all.

You were all smiles. So, yeah, I can't really fault it.

Every look was met by another look, every gesture

and expression was met by the appropriate expression

from another person, so you really looked like you were together.

I liked the unity of your vocals as well.

I love your attitude. You actually scare me slightly.

Vocally, I'm just going to talk about your vocals a little bit,

I want you to think about making it slightly less shouty, in places.

I mean, the blend is good, and it's uniform,

and that's a good thing, but it is a little shouty in places.

I'd like you to think about beautifying it

or smoothing it out just slightly for me.

but mostly the harmonies and smoothing them out.

My question really for you guys, is, why do you look so terrified?

If I sounded that good, I would be so pleased with myself.

You don't need to look that scared, you sound amazing.

The bottom end of that voice is great.

What I'd love you to do when you perform is look up.

Look up, because the floor's not that attractive here.

When you came out, actually, I didn't expect you to be that good.

And that's me judging a book by its cover, but like these guys said,

I really wanted you guys to get into it a bit more.

Those smiles - you should have been doing that in the performance.

It's true, Rashid, you just have to believe in yourself.

But to have those kind of comments from them, that is just incredible.

It means a lot to you...

I'm still kind star-struck!

For me, the confidence thing is the difference between them

being lovely to listen to and good to look at.

And they've got match that.

-When you are on stage, you are performing.

-Yeah.

And even if performing means, I'm not confident,

but I got to act like I am, then act.

You've got to perform.

If they can bring a little bit of that performance to the vocal

sound, they could be excellent.

They were really strong, for me.

Oh, yeah, in every way. Visually too - fantastic.

If it was a miming competition, I'd say yes.

Ouch.

If we chose any one of them,

they would possibly be as good as any other that we didn't choose.

What does that mean?!

Yeah, these ones told a story and I liked their story.

I would say no to these guys, now having seen them again, second time.

Here, I see a future potential band, but definitely not ready.

Despite some last-minute drama, we now have the final five
