Hi, I'm Georgia and welcome to Style Download.

I'm in my home county of Buckinghamshire to help plan

for one of Britain's favourite pastimes - the picnic.

Let's just hope the weather holds out.

Hi, I'm Khalid. I'm 11 and I love going out with my friends and music.

I also love my cat Willow

and two awesome lizards called Steve and Spike.

I've decided I want a picnic with my friends

but I have no idea how to organise it.

Which is why I've been sent in to help. Picnics are one of my fortes,

so let's go surprise Khalid and see what I can rustle up for him.

-Hello, Khalid.

-Oh, hello.

Hi, I'm Georgia. Are you a bit surprised?

Yeah!

-Is it OK if I come in and explain why I'm here?

-Yeah.

OK, Khalid, So tell me why you need a style download.

Well, I'm thinking of hosting a picnic but I have no idea how to.

-Oh, OK. So what is it you like most about picnics?

-The food, definitely.

I have to agree on that one!

Is there anything you don't really like?

Maybe when we have ice creams or cold food. It normally warms up.

Yeah, that's horrible.

I have some ideas that could help solve that,

-and also I hear you're a music fan.

-Yeah, definitely.

I have an idea you might like, actually, to do with that.

But what I really need from you is to go and find the essentials,

the things we really need, from around the house.

So that's drinks cartons, an old rug and also a jar,

-so do you think you could find that?

-Yeah.

Brilliant! So off you go, and I'm timing you, so hurry up!

OK, great. You've got everything I said to get, which is awesome.

One thing we do need to tackle is keeping things cool.

A great way to keep things cool is with ice, but not just any ice.

So you take these ones and I'll take these ones, and follow me.

The great thing about these is you can freeze them the night before,

and on the day of the picnic, you take them out, pop them in your bag

as they keep everything cool, and you can eat them for dessert after.

-Sound OK?

-Yeah, I love ice lollies.

OK, great. Just remember to pack a spoon!

OK, now it's time for the important part which is,

of course, the music, so lead the way.

OK, I know how you love music and so do I, and I've got an ingenious way

of making sure that everyone else enjoys it as well.

-And all you need is this. A bit confused maybe?

-Yeah.

What I want you to do is get your phone out, play a tune,

put in the jar and we'll see what happens, OK?

-OK.

-Just pop it in the jar.

-Ow! Er, a bit loud maybe!

-Yeah.

OK, so we'll turn it down for next time.

OK, after the food, what's the most important thing for a picnic?

-Well, probably something to eat it on.

-You're right, the rug, yeah.

So the problem is, after all the food's packed, though,

-there's not much space for it, right?

-Yeah.

Of course, I have a solution for this and it involves some rope

as well, so follow my lead, and all shall become clear.

OK, so there's one snack sack, if you will.

It may not be the most beautiful thing in the world

but it sure does the trick,

so now all we need to do is wait for a sunny day to arrive,

and then we can go and enjoy our picnic

Planning for the perfect picnic isn't just about the food,

so if you want to be totally prepared, follow these simple steps.

Step one - the snack sack.

Find a picnic blanket or old rug and some rope or cord.

Then tie your pieces of rope to scrunched up corners of the rug.

Fill the rug with everything you need for your picnic,

then pull the ropes together. Sling it over your shoulder

and you've got yourself a bag that doubles up as a picnic rug.

Step two - to make your picnic freezers, get some fruit drinks.

Put them in the freezer the night before and in your bag as you leave.

They'll keep everything cool for you and, after eating,

they double up as dessert.

Cut or peel the top off and eat with a spoon.

Step three - the jam jar.

Everyone loves listening to music at picnics but lugging your

stereo along with loads of batteries can be annoying and expensive.

So simply find a glass jar from around the house,

place your phone or MP3 player with speaker inside, hit play

and your sounds are instantly louder.

All you need to do now is find a spot to enjoy your picnic. Easy!

So that's one happy customer, even if it was a bit of a washout,

but at least he'll remember to take his umbrella to the next one.
