It's the second day of the head-to-head competition.

The first day was really rough.

We lost a few members of The Next Step

and I really hope that we don't lose any more today.

If I can get seven of my Elite dancers on this Internationals team,

not only do I control the team,

but I take over Kate's studio.

Try that.

As it stands right now, The Next Step is leading Elite four to three

with only five more dance battles to go.

-Come on, Shantel.

-Yeah, girl.

Mackenzie is battling Shantel. Both are from Elite.

We're getting a new face on the Internationals team.

Hopefully, it's the lesser of two evils.

Shantel is so focused.

You can tell there's nothing else on her mind

aside from this solo in this competition

right at this very moment.

I know how political she is, how ambitious she is.

And I know that she's got her eye on becoming dance captain one day.

The fact that I have to go up against another Elite member

is killing me, but I have no choice.

This is the Internationals team and I'll do anything to get on it.

It is hard to decide between Shantel and Mackenzie.

I knew them at Elite and I know they're both great dancers.

But I just feel like Shantel did better in her solo.

Which means it puts Lucien one step closer to owning The Next Step.

I know Chloe is a phenomenal dancer,

but Elite dancers are killer.

I'm so nervous right now.

I'm not even really paying attention to what's going on.

A-Troupe means everything to me.

I don't know what I'm going to do if I don't make the team.

She's helped us win regionals and nationals.

I don't want to see her go. I want her on that team.

Once I start dancing, something just takes over

and I'm doing really well.

I'm really happy with how I'm dancing.

Chloe is absolutely incredible.

I'm actually really impressed with how strong she is in the solo.

I've never seen her dance like this before.

We've pretty much been going at it since I started at Elite.

So, it really does come down to this.

Tess is unbelievable.

She's really giving it her all.

Watching Tess definitely worries me.

She's definitely stepped up her game since I've been at Elite.

Amanda better beat Tess.

But I really feel like she is part of The Next Step now

As I'm performing my solo, I feel great.

I definitely feel like I'm doing a better job than Tess did

and that makes me really happy.

Amanda is doing amazing.

I've never seen her dance like this before.

And I know she's giving just a little bit of extra sass

because she's going against Tess.

After Amanda's solo, I know there's no vote.

The choice was so clear.

Amanda's on the Internationals team.

Thank goodness! Amanda is officially our seventh dancer.

Which means this is the end of Lucien and I keep the studio.

is going to have to go up against Daniel.

I'm quite worried.

We've kind of been on a better note in terms of our friendship,

and having to dance against each other

is really going to ruin whatever we've established.

I'm just sitting at Hidalgo's

putting my finishing touches on the dance captain diary.

The dance captain diary has the collective wisdom

of all the dance captains that have ever been at The Next Step.

I mean, there's stuff in there that Miss Kate wrote.

And no-one is supposed to know about the diary

except for the dance captains,

so I'm really trying to keep it under wraps.

It is a little weird not having Emily around

just because, I mean, she's always there, usually, to help me out.

But, I mean,

I guess I'm going to have to get used to doing all that for myself.

And it's so weird not having James in A-Troupe.

'This new Internationals team is very strange.'

We've lost James, Hunter and Emily already

and who knows who else we're going to lose.

Seriously, though, I do really miss you in A-Troupe. Everyone does.

I miss me in A-Troupe, too.

Daniel is so talented,

and when I watch him dance, I'm blown away.

But he's not a team player.

So I really, really want Giselle to beat him.

Daniel has grown so much.

His solo is absolutely incredible,

which makes me extremely nervous for mine.

This is probably the most important solo I've ever had to do.

The spot for the International team is right there

and I need to take it.

Giselle is an awesome dancer,

but I've never seen her dance like this before.

There's a certain intensity and power that she's brought

that I don't think anyone from The Next Step knew she had in her.

Every single time she dances, it's amazing.

But this time is different. She's killing it.

Dancing is such an incredible feeling.

It's like you're on cloud nine.

When I'm doing my solo, it feels like I'm meant to be on that team.

But I don't get it.

I'm not a dance captain

and I'm not on A-Troupe.

The job of the dance captain is to pass it on to the person

they think will keep The Next Step moving forward.

I can see it's Richelle.

She may not know it yet, but I do.

The dance captain is supposed to

hand it down to the next dance captain.

And I have a feeling it might be you.

Letting the dance diary go is...very hard.

I've had it for so long.

And it's been with me through so much.
