We're about to battle TNS East.

So, right now, we're rehearsing our ten person hip-hop dance.

We need to be perfect.

cos I'm seeing some different ones.

I'm cleaning a section of my dance battle choreography.

It is important that this dance be so clean,

because I know Michelle's is going to be a mess.

INDISTINCT CONVERSATION

This competition is a huge deal.

It determines who's representing The Next Step at Regionals.

We've got to win this thing.

Not only is this dance about going to Regionals,

it's also about the fact that I made the right decision in creating

this troupe in the first place.

It needs to be almost robotic with a flair.

Do you guys understand what I'm saying?

So tighter. Quite a bit tighter and please watch your spacing,

cos it's getting out of line. Four, five, six and seven!

My dancer's are doing really well, but we still only have nine dancers.

I'm going to have to come up with someone really special.

I had just left Emily's team and now I'm on Michelle's troupe

and everything's amazing.

I mean, the vibes are just awesome and I feel like I'm at home.

It's really weird not having Noah here.

I was hoping we could go up against TNS West together.

It's definitely tough competing against my friends,

cos as much as I want them to win, I also want to win.

If we keep cleaning like this, it's going to be SO good.

Emily has worked us so hard.

Tomorrow, TNS East finally battles TNS West.

I've been meaning to ask, how did your Math club feel

when you told them you couldn't make it to the competition?

I have a big Math competition tomorrow,

but tomorrow's also the dance battle.

I haven't told anyone about it, except for Josh.

I'm doing both competitions.

The Math is in the morning, ours is in the afternoon,

there's an hour in between and my plan - it's called public transit.

There is no way Zara is going to make both

competitions in the same day.

The bus could be delayed. A subway could break down.

Anything could happen.

You're jeopardizing the entire A-Troupe right now.

And you haven't even told Emily.

I would never put A-Troupe in jeopardy.

I understand that she's dedicated to both teams,

but I think Zara's being very selfish.

I'm not putting the entire team at risk, just

because she doesn't want to tell anyone.

I really like Noah, but when I'm competing,

that's a different side of me.

I mean I'm pretty competitive, too.

Jacquie's competitive side is a little scary to me.

I'm in a little bit of a predicament.

I've already lost Noah

and one of my other dancers has recently become unavailable.

After all the grief I gave Michelle about not having ten dancers, I know

I have to go about this the right way if I want to come out on top.

Yeah, but here's the thing, I have ten amazing dancers

and we're ready to go. So, I'm good.

Well, I actually have an idea,

it's something that might work for both of us.

Instead of a ten person routine,

we should showcase our five best dancers in a dance quintet.

If you let me have my five dancers tomorrow,

I will let you join A-Troupe when I win.

You know what, Emily?

You can have your five dancers,

because I want the chance to beat you fair and square.

But just so we're clear, I will never, ever join your A-Troupe.

It's finally time for the battle and Emily's team has arrived.

cos they about to be toast.

This is intense. Regionals is in the fate of me and four other dancers.

We've rearranged the whole dance for a five-person dance.

And we have a brand-new A-Troupe dancer

coming in to fill the fifth spot.

Emily's got something good up her sleeve.

TNS East is ready to take down TNS West.

-Hey, Jacquie. Best of luck.

-I don't need luck.

-I need to psyche out Noah for the competition.

I think it's working.

This is really weird. I mean, she did give me a fair warning...

I look over and A-Troupe only has four dancers warming up.

We have a secret weapon that nobody is going to see coming.

He's at a whole different level than I am

and just being able to do that lift with him?

This is totally typical of my family. Nobody cares about dance.

I think all of her dancers were super technical...

'They were all so clean and so technical and so focused.'

And THAT is what the judges like.

It was clean, for sure, but like, to me,

-it lacks, like creativity, do you know what I mean? Like...

'Michelle's dance is amazing for several reasons.

'There's great style, the dancers are showcasing visually

and ultimately it gives off a really happy vibe.

We did win Regionals in the past and Nationals

and Internationals with a routine like Michelle's.

But maybe they've seen that before, you know what I mean?

Everyone's seen those routines from us,

we should be showing something different.

I bite my nails when I'm nervous, too.

The best way to get over that is to find something that distracts you.

-Have you ever tried a hoverboard?

I feel like it would stress me out even more.
