Here goes! | 0:03:53 | 0:03:55
Thank you, Mr Trumpet Man! | 0:03:58 | 0:04:01
Well, I think it's time for a story about a Treasure Champ. | 0:04:08 | 0:04:11
Some of you may know this one. It's about a very, very | 0:04:11 | 0:04:15
courageous young man. | 0:04:15 | 0:04:16
Hiya, I'm Ben, and this is the exciting story of | 0:04:23 | 0:04:27
Daniel And The Lions. | 0:04:27 | 0:04:29
THEY ROAR | 0:04:29 | 0:04:30
Oh! Phew! On with the story. | 0:04:30 | 0:04:34
Daniel was a servant to the king, | 0:04:34 | 0:04:36
and lived in a place called Babylon. | 0:04:36 | 0:04:38
Daniel did lots of jobs for the king, | 0:04:38 | 0:04:41
like maybe polishing his crown. | 0:04:41 | 0:04:43
Now, the king of Babylon liked Daniel very, very much. | 0:04:43 | 0:04:47
"Here's your crown, my king." | 0:04:47 | 0:04:50
"Thank you, Daniel. | 0:04:50 | 0:04:52
"Now, you know I like you. In fact, I like you so much, I'm going | 0:04:52 | 0:04:56
"to put you in charge of the whole country." | 0:04:56 | 0:04:59
"Wow!" | 0:04:59 | 0:05:01
But some of the other servants to the king were jealous of Daniel | 0:05:01 | 0:05:05
because they wanted to be in charge instead of him. | 0:05:05 | 0:05:09
So, the servants thought how they could get Daniel into trouble. | 0:05:09 | 0:05:13
But getting Daniel into trouble was very tricky, | 0:05:13 | 0:05:16
because Daniel was a good person who worked very hard. | 0:05:16 | 0:05:19
Very hard, indeed. Phew! | 0:05:22 | 0:05:25
So, they tricked the king into agreeing to a new rule. | 0:05:25 | 0:05:29
"What's this?" | 0:05:32 | 0:05:34
The servants told the king it was a new rule he'd made up, | 0:05:34 | 0:05:38
and so he announced it. "Thanks very much. | 0:05:38 | 0:05:41
"From now on, people will only pray to me. | 0:05:41 | 0:05:45
"Anyone caught praying to anybody else will be thrown to the lions!" | 0:05:45 | 0:05:49
THEY ROAR | 0:05:49 | 0:05:52
This meant that Daniel had a really big decision to make. | 0:05:52 | 0:05:55
Praying to his god was even more important | 0:05:55 | 0:05:58
that being a good servant to the king! | 0:05:58 | 0:06:00
So, Daniel was very courageous, and kept praying to his god | 0:06:00 | 0:06:04
every day, just as he'd always done. | 0:06:04 | 0:06:06
But the servants spotted him. | 0:06:06 | 0:06:09
"What's this?" | 0:06:12 | 0:06:15
The king was told that Daniel had broken the rule | 0:06:15 | 0:06:18
and had to be punished. "Thank you, thank you. | 0:06:18 | 0:06:21
"Now, I still like Daniel very, very much, | 0:06:21 | 0:06:24
"but he did not pray to me, and broke the rule, | 0:06:24 | 0:06:27
"so now he must be thrown into the den of ferocious lions!" | 0:06:27 | 0:06:32
LION ROARS | 0:06:32 | 0:06:35
Daniel was trapped, face-to-face with the big-toothed hungry beasts. | 0:06:35 | 0:06:41
THEY GROWL | 0:06:41 | 0:06:43
What would happen to him? | 0:06:43 | 0:06:45
That night, the king couldn't sleep. He was worrying about Daniel. | 0:06:49 | 0:06:53
"Oh, what have I done? What have I done?!" | 0:06:53 | 0:06:57
So, in the morning, he rushed to find him. | 0:06:57 | 0:07:00
"Oh, dear. | 0:07:02 | 0:07:03
"Daniel's been in the lions' den all night, and it's my fault." | 0:07:03 | 0:07:07
But as the king got closer to the den, he looked in and saw... | 0:07:07 | 0:07:11
Daniel was fine! | 0:07:11 | 0:07:13
The king was amazed. How had Daniel survived? | 0:07:14 | 0:07:18
Courageous Daniel said, "My king, when I was in the lions' den, | 0:07:18 | 0:07:23
"I prayed, and all the lions' mouths were shut tight. | 0:07:23 | 0:07:26
"The lions didn't hurt me because I've done nothing wrong." | 0:07:26 | 0:07:30
"Wahoo! Daniel's OK!", said the king. | 0:07:30 | 0:07:34
"You were very courageous | 0:07:34 | 0:07:36
"because you stood up for what you knew was right." | 0:07:36 | 0:07:40
Come on in, guys. Thanks for helping me tell today's Treasure Story. | 0:07:42 | 0:07:46
It's a very old story from the Bible and Hebrew Bible. | 0:07:46 | 0:07:50
-See you again soon. Bye. ALL: -Bye! | 0:07:50 | 0:07:52
Wow! Daniel was so courageous. | 0:07:54 | 0:07:58
Come on. We can be, too. | 0:07:58 | 0:08:00
THEY SCREAM | 0:08:05 | 0:08:07
-It's hard work, this courage thing, isn't it? -Yeah. | 0:08:09 | 0:08:13
Let's see you how you Treasure Champs are courageous. | 0:08:13 | 0:08:17
Maow! | 0:08:17 | 0:08:18 | |

Hi, I'm Grace, and I'm eight years old. | 0:08:40 | 0:08:43
Seven weeks ago, I fell over in the park and broke my arm. | 0:08:43 | 0:08:47
The doctor looked after me and put this plaster cast on my arm. | 0:08:47 | 0:08:52
A plaster cast is like a very hard bandage, to keep my arm nice | 0:08:52 | 0:08:56
and still, to help the bone to mend. | 0:08:56 | 0:08:59
Today, I've come to the hospital to get my cast removed, | 0:08:59 | 0:09:03
because my arm is better. | 0:09:03 | 0:09:05
-OK, Grace, let's get the cast off now. -OK. | 0:09:05 | 0:09:08
Even though I've been to hospital before, I'm a bit nervous. | 0:09:08 | 0:09:12
But I brought Bella, my doll, with me, to help me feel brave. | 0:09:12 | 0:09:15
The machine makes a really loud noise, and it's tickling my arm. | 0:09:15 | 0:09:20
Hospitals can seem such strange places. | 0:09:23 | 0:09:26
Going to one can feel scary. | 0:09:26 | 0:09:28
But you need to be brave and courageous, because the doctors | 0:09:28 | 0:09:32
and nurses are all there to look after you. | 0:09:32 | 0:09:35
-So, it's going to feel a little bit stiff, like last time, OK? -Yeah. | 0:09:35 | 0:09:39
And it will be a little bit thinner than the other arm. | 0:09:39 | 0:09:44
There we go. Well done, Grace. Just take it easy with that arm, OK? | 0:09:44 | 0:09:49
That's your one in plaster, and that's your one today. | 0:09:51 | 0:09:54
-It's much better, but it's not quite fully there. -OK. | 0:09:54 | 0:09:57
-We'll give you a splint to wear. -Ooh. | 0:09:57 | 0:10:00
-The ones that look like a skateboard wrist guard? -Yeah. | 0:10:00 | 0:10:03
-One of them, OK? -And what I need is your thumb to stick out a bit. | 0:10:03 | 0:10:07
-Like that? -Like that, that's right. This one fits. | 0:10:07 | 0:10:10
I'm not the only one who's hurt themselves. | 0:10:10 | 0:10:13
Everyone here's been really brave. | 0:10:13 | 0:10:16
I'm really happy my arm is better. | 0:10:18 | 0:10:20
Now I'm going to have lots of courage | 0:10:20 | 0:10:22
and play in the playground again. | 0:10:22 | 0:10:25
-# BOTH: -Treasure Champs! # | 0:10:28 | 0:10:30

There are other people taking part today. | 0:11:33 | 0:11:37
We ride our horses around a really big course. | 0:11:37 | 0:11:40
I'm starting to feel a bit worried. | 0:11:42 | 0:11:45
-Are you ready to go? -Yes. -Yeah? | 0:11:45 | 0:11:48
-We're going to go and do this? -Yes. -Good. | 0:11:48 | 0:11:51
Walk on, Snowflake. | 0:11:51 | 0:11:53
The course is really tricky. | 0:11:53 | 0:11:55
There are so many people watching me. | 0:11:58 | 0:12:01
I'm so proud of you being so brave. | 0:12:01 | 0:12:04
I've got a nervous feeling inside me. | 0:12:04 | 0:12:08
I know how this feels. | 0:12:08 | 0:12:10
-Her tummy's feeling all wobbly. -Mmm. | 0:12:10 | 0:12:13
But if she has courage, it'll be worth it. | 0:12:13 | 0:12:16
Wow! She was brilliant! | 0:12:16 | 0:12:20
Hooray! Hooray! | 0:12:20 | 0:12:22
It feels amazing to have finished. | 0:12:22 | 0:12:25
I'm so glad I did this. | 0:12:25 | 0:12:27
Well done. Didn't you do fab? Give us a kiss. | 0:12:28 | 0:12:32

-ALL: -Cheese! | 0:12:55 | 0:12:57
SNOWFLAKE WHINNIES THEY LAUGH | 0:12:57 | 0:13:01
So, we've learnt about courage. Stay there. | 0:13:01 | 0:13:05
