Being adventurous is trying something new.

Being adventurous is taking a chance.

Adventurous means that you're really, really brave.

I like going on adventures cos I get more stories.

I love adventures because they make me excited.

If you're never adventurous,

then you'll never figure out things that are in the world.

Going on an adventure makes me really excited.

I feel like I'm an explorer.

I was very adventurous when I touched a snake.

I suppose being adventurous does sound exciting, trying new things.

who had a very big adventure.

Hi, I'm Chrissy,

and this is the exciting story of Moses crossing the Red Sea.

-Hi.

-CHILDREN:

There once was a man called Moses, a good and honest man,

and he was leading a big group of people,

called the Israelites, away from Egypt

on a journey into the unknown.

Oh, a map. Thank you.

Ah! The unknown! This way!

Oh! No, sorry, this way.

As Moses led the people through the sandy desert,

they were in a hurry because they were not alone on their journey.

They were being chased by soldiers!

Over there! Quick march!

Come on!

This way.

No, sorry, this way.

And then Moses and the people got stuck.

Whoa!

They'd reached the sea, the Red Sea!

It wasn't actually red, that was just it's name.

WATER SLOSHES

THEY GIGGLE

They couldn't go forwards and they couldn't go back.

There they are! Forwards on the double!

They were running out of time

and that was when something amazing happened.

Moses raised his stick over the water

and suddenly a great wind blew.

WIND WHOOSHES

And then the sea parted!

-CHILDREN:

-Wow!

Well, the people had never walked across the sea bed before,

but with Moses leading them,

they decided to be adventurous and trust him.

Follow me!

The people hurried across the dry path

between the two walls of water.

There were so many of them, it took a long time to cross.

When, at last, they'd all made it, Moses joined his people.

He put up his hand again and the sea covered up the path.

So now the soldiers couldn't chase them any more.

Yay!

By following Moses and being adventurous,

they had walked through the sea!

So then they danced and were happy.

Hi, my name is Nadrienne and this is my little brother Myles.

We are on a day out in our city.

We've been sightseeing today.

It's been lots of fun, but now we're really hungry.

My favourite food is macaroni cheese,

but today we are going to be adventurous

and try something completely new to us.

It's a type of Japanese food called teppanyaki.

I hope I like it.

There's so much to choose from

and lots of this food sounds really unusual.

I don't know what it is.

Hmm, I'm sure I'll like something on the menu.

I just can't decide what to have!

-Let's try a selection of everything.

-Yeah?

We're telling the waiter all the things we'd like to try.

What are you having today?

-Can I have this and this, please?

-OK, so meat combo with rice and veg.

The chef cooks all the food right in front of us.

He's adding oil to make a flame.

I've never seen things being cooked this way.

The chef is frying my mum's prawns.

Now he's making my brother's noodles.

Wow! This doesn't look like anything I've eaten before,

but I'm going to be adventurous and go for it.

Today we're going somewhere really exciting.

We're packing our explorer rucksacks.

We love walking to the top of the hill,

but today we're going exploring.

Mum is walking up the path,

but she's letting us be adventurous and climb to the tower at the top.

We are pretending that we are mountaineers

climbing the tallest mountain in the world.

I'm imagining that it's all snowy and we are famous explorers.

It's hard work.

Phew! Exploring places is really adventurous.

Adventurous and lots of fun!

Adventures can be tricky, sometimes you might want to give up.

But when you finish, you'll feel like a hero!
