It's good to be creative, because you can use your imagination.

Being creative is trying your own things, your own way.

It's important to be creative, because everyone is different.

I was being creative when I made my nanna's birthday card.

My mummy is creative when she makes lots of different things.

I love the beginning of creativity,

when you have so many possibilities!

-But I don't know what to create.

That's the first step of creativity.

Hmm. What if my idea is silly?

Oh, silly ideas are different - and fun!

Here's a story about a Treasure Champ who used creativity

to solve a big problem.

Hello, I'm Amy.

And today, we're going to be telling you an old moral tale

called The King's Idea.

Won't be needing these.

A long time ago, in a land far, far away,

lived a king.

And, like all kings, this king had servants.

And this king decided to take a trip to see far-off parts of his country.

Onward!

They walked for miles and miles.

And, all the time, they walked barefoot.

SHE PANTS

Servants! Are we nearly there yet?

At last, they'd arrived. We're here!

My beloved palace. But my feet are so sore.

The poor king and his poor feet.

The road had been long and covered in sharp rocks.

So the king and the servants thought about

how they could make the next walk a bit easier and less painful.

Suddenly, the king had an idea. Quite an unusual one.

Servants, you shall cover all the paths in the land

with soft, comfy leather. Ha-ha!

The servants realised it would take a lot of leather to cover

all the paths. Too much leather.

But they had a really brilliant, creative idea.

They asked the king a simple question.

Instead of covering all the paths...

How about we cover your feet in little pieces of leather?

Why not? Let's give it a try.

Way too small!

Way too big!

Perfect.

The king and his servants walked for miles and miles after that.

All the time, wearing their new creative creations - shoes!

Hi, I'm Amelia and this is my sister, Maya.

We love playing in the garden and smelling the flowers and herbs.

We're helping Mum tidy up things she doesn't need any more,

and we know something really creative to do with them.

We will need some herbs and lavender.

You picking some more?

What we're making today is one of our favourite things to do.

I'm mushing the leaves.

It goes all yucky. But it's really fun.

Maya is cleaning the rose petals and lavender.

Now I'm adding some lemon.

Now Maya is mixing the flowers in warm water.

This looks like so much fun!

-I wonder what they're making.

-It's some kind of potion.

They're making perfume! That's really creative.

-SNIFFS

-And it smells lovely.

Now the water is cool enough to pour into the spray bottles,

we're going to give the perfume to Mum.

I'm Betsy and I'm five.

This is my little brother, Rufus,

and my mum and dad.

We enjoy doing things together as a family.

Can you find something blue?

Rufus can't talk to us,

and sometimes it's hard for him to join in.

Rufus, I love you!

This is because he has Angelman syndrome,

which means he can't walk or talk.

So we have to be creative and think of other ways for him

to let us know what he wants.

-That's a dog being fed.

-Dog.

-Can you see that, Rufus?

-A dog.

Rufus is learning to use this book.

It has lots of pictures that he can point to.

It's Rufus's way of talking to us.

Today, me and Dad are making a new page for the book.

-Can I choose a colour?

-Yeah.

I'm going to choose, like, a sort of light green-y.

I'm using Daddy's tablet to draw pictures of our family.

-Shall we do Nanna first?

-Yeah.

-Shall we do Nanna's hair?

Now, what colour hair? She's got greyish hair, hasn't she,

so shall we do some big circles for her hair, there?

That is starting to look like Nanna.

Then Daddy adds things to the pictures.

So, we just need to put Nanna's glasses on.

Let's see, what glasses have we got? Shall we try these ones?

-Who does that look like?

-Nanna.

-Yeah!

I think the pictures look great. That's it!

-So, now we print them off and put them into Rufus's book.

-Yeah!

Wow, look at this, Rufus!

Look, Rufus loves his new pictures.

He knows who everyone is.

So now he can talk about the people in his family.

-Ho-ho! That's really clever!

-And really creative.

Mummy, Daddy, Nanna, Grandad.

-Oh!

-Look!

-Who is this?!

-Who's that?!

Rufus's book means he can join in.

Now he can talk to everyone in my family.
