For the first time, the search is on to find a real couple who can

-make it as top models.

-If we can find a real couple who are gorgeous

and in love, they'll make a killing.

But for every Posh and Becks, there's a Katy and Peter.

So just looking the part won't be enough.

There's no point investing in a couple who don't have a strong relationship,

cos they're going to break up and leave us high and dry.

Over six weeks, eight hot couples will live together in this

state-of-the-art Manchester mansion.

This is how the other half live, isn't it?

As well as facing a series of modelling challenges...

I can't see your face.

under the microscope.

If the house is on fire, what would your partner grab to rescue?

They might have modelled before, but never as a couple.

-And that means there'll be slip-ups.

And embarrassing challenges ahead.

As they battle it out to impress the judges

and avoid being eliminated from the competition.

I'm not looking for two separate models, I'm looking for a couple.

It's all about making sure that the couple we choose have

a relationship that will stand the test of time.

The prize for the winning pair is a contract with a top modelling agency.

-We've got it in the bag.

-They all think they're drop-dead gorgeous.

-I think I'm genetically blessed.

-We are 100% awesome.

I was voted the top ten best looking South Asian male.

But how will their relationships cope under pressure?

-This show is 50% about relationships.

the couples were whisked away to an enchanted castle...

Today's shoot is inspired by fairy tales.

..where the judges wanted to see how the couples coped

in the real world of sample-sized outfits.

And while some were the perfect fit...

My face and my hair look pretty.

..for most, it wasn't a fairy tale ending.

-Because they don't fit round the legs.

-Leroy just isn't the shape of a model.

-We are halfway through

the competition. How hard is it?

At the casting decision, the couples pleaded to stay.

It's not just a long shot. This is what we want to do long term.

We really want this.

But in the end, it was Leroy's bulky build that saw him

and Chloe leave.

Regardless of this, I go home with my prize anyway.

Just four couples remain in the contest for a 12-month

modelling contract.

-Aussie ballroom dancers Alison and Vaughan.

-I have a hot body.

I work hard for it and I'm proud of it.

-I absolutely agree.

-Fiery Chanel and Damien.

Whether he likes it or not, he's stuck with me now.

-Whether I like it or now.

-Super vain Stuart and Helen.

With my genetics and Helen's genetics,

our kid's going to take over the world.

And glamour-girl Beki and boyfriend Jay.

In ten years time, I'd like big boobs, a small little waist and a little family.

As the fight for the contract hots up, this week,

it's all about compatibility.

I want to be in the final. I will be in the final.

In the modelling challenge, they'll have to prove that they're

the best physical fit for each other.

That's if their props don't get in the way.

I thought working with Vaughan will be easy,

then they chuck in a tarantula.

And when it comes to their relationships,

they'll have to pass a compatibility test.

It's week five of the competition

and the hot couples are preparing for their next modelling challenge.

The pairs are on their way to Media City UK,

the studios where today's photo shoot will take place.

There waiting for them is their mentor,

top model agent Jonathan Phang.

-This week, we're exploring compatibility.

Compatibility is what bonds you as couples

and what makes you believable.

For you to become worldwide brands,

the public needs to believe in you or else advertisers just won't book you.

Now, you make think you look like the perfect couples,

but as models, you just may not look right together.

And we're going to challenge you to prove to us

that you're the best-matched couples physically and emotionally.

Follow me.

This challenge will test the wannabes modelling ability

more than ever before.

Wow, check this out!

Especially because they'll be posing in front of nothing

but an enormous green screen.

This will allow the photographer to superimpose the couples onto

any background she chooses.

You've got your work cut out for you today,

because there is nothing more difficult that shooting

in front of a green screen, because as you can see, you're on your own.

You've got to use your imagination and maintain your focus.

So, meet today's photographer, Shirlaine Forest.

So, we all know there's a lot riding on you today. Let's get ready.

I'm really looking forward to it. I just want it to start.

For this shoot, Shirlaine wants the couples to create

a series of action shots that feature the boys as real life heroes.

-How are you going to get them close to you?

-I really don't know.

Saving loads of people, coming out to a load of applause.

Going, "Oh, my God! He's so amazing."

Seeing their men in uniform must be an exciting prospect

for the girls, who'll play their damsels in distress.

Damo will look well nice in a...fireman uniform, I think.

First, Stuart hopes to get pulses racing as he poses as a doctor,

whilst girlfriend Helen will be his sexy patient.

-Twit-twoo! You look fab, hun, you look great.

-How are you?

-Good.

So if you could just lie on the bed for me, hun,

and just move your legs over to the other side.

With the judges running out of patience,

this is Stuart's opportunity to prove he can cut it as a model.

It's a full length gown on a 5 ft 3 girl. It's absolutely drowning her.

Beki, it was just a struggle, the whole thing.

To keep their dream of winning afloat,

they'll need to prove once and for all that they are physically compatible.

that would be a bit, er...you know, a bit sort of thingy.

I suppose it's a professional thing. You just have to go for it.

It's a dangerous game.

The couples must prove they're versatile, but if their best picture

isn't with their other half, there will be trouble.

You two have to stand out.

Yeah, I suppose you have, but it's got to be natural.

You can't force it, can you?

-Chanel will already feel comfortable posing with Jay.

After all, she's already lap-danced for him.

I've worked with her before, doing a more intimate scene.

They must also prove they're emotionally compatible,

and that's where relationship judge Emma Kenny comes in.

I'm a therapist who specialises in relationships.

I'm not here to judge the couples on how they look.

I'm here to assess the strength of the bond they have between them.

Today, I'm going to be thinking about compatibility.

Whilst you might think you want the same things, in reality, people have different hopes and dreams.

We're creating a brand, and within that brand we need to know

you're going to be together. So today it's my job...

to find out just how compatible you guys are with each other.

I've devised a really simple compatibility questionnaire.

And that is going to test how well each of our couples actually know

the person they're sharing their lives with at the moment.

most are worried about how they have fared.

The test may seem straightforward, but one simple slip-up

could reveal much deeper problems in their relationships.

The casting decision is not until tomorrow morning,

so the judges want to put the couples through one more compatibility test.

As long as we wear the same sort of colours,

you have got to look your best.

They have been asked to pick their favourite outfits

to meet with modelling judge Jody Furlong.

Experienced casting director Jody is looking for a couple

with the looks and the personality to become a popular brand.

But that can only be achieved if the public buy into them.

So he has asked the pairs to meet him

in central Manchester for the ultimate popularity contest.

So, your challenge today is to put yourself in this shop window

and sell yourselves as couples.

We need to find out what the public think of you,

whether or not they buy into you as a couple and whether or not they feel you look compatible.

So in you go.

The public will be asked to pick the couple

they think look best together and they will mark their choice

by drawing an X on the window in front of their favourites.

Having the public judge us is kind of scary, really,

because you want them to like you but you can't exactly make them.

Let's just strike a pose, babe.

What I want you to do is have a proper look at all the couples

and then put a mark on the bottom of the window of the couple that

you think are most compatible, that look best together.

-You have got the first one, you

-(BLEEP).

Not many people would go and stand in a shop window

and have the public put an X, "I like you."

It's a good thing they didn't put who they didn't like! Imagine that!

-Cheeks are a bit sore now.

-I can't even go like this.

The public's feedback will also be noted by Jody.

And the shoppers are not afraid to speak their minds.

There is something about this set that make that makes them

seem a little bit pretentious in some way.

But Stuart and Helen have devised a plan to rack up the votes...

We kind of took like a playful approach on it

because you could see like that the people on the other side

wanted to get engaged in you. It was really fun.

While Stuart and Helen will do anything to win over the public,

Christians Vaughan and Alison are taking a more conservative approach.

We did take a little bit more serious approach.

I obviously understand the concept of selling yourself, but there is a level, too.

It is hard keeping up a smile for about 20 minutes.

So hard. My feet are killing.

Damien and Chanel, on the other hand, have managed to put

their argument behind them to arouse some interest from the passers by.

And left on the shelf, it is Vaughan and Alison, who only attracted seven of the 64 passers-by.

At the end of the day, if they want to judge

what 30 people from the same shopping centre think, that is OK.

Part of modelling is selling yourselves

and selling yourself as couples, so I've got to commend you two.

At least winning has helped patch things up for Damien and Chanel.

It is not just that we came joint first, it is that there

was a big gap between first and fourth.

So, this time tomorrow, this table will be down to six plates.

Back at the house,

the couples are discussing who might make it to the final.

And as they are thrash out the week's events,

there is one particular task that many of them can't stop thinking about.

Emma's compatibility test.

What did Helen say was her favourite feature on her body?

-Honestly, I just messed up.

-She chose her teeth. Helen hates her teeth.

Hates them with a passion.

We got the question, who would you fancy in the house

if you had to fancy someone?

-And Chanel goes, "I do not fancy anyone".

-I said, "No one is my type."

But me, I went, "Er, er, er...Beki". Like that.

And then...yeah.

I felt kind of awkward when I was kind of the girl who had caused the friction between Chanel and Damien

Because Damien said he fancied me.

But it's one of those things, isn't it? He had to answer the question.

You have got to have a strong relationship to know, "You know what?

"We know we are secure."

If you haven't got that base foundation, the cracks are going to come straight through.

But as the hot couples get down to karaoke...

In the modelling industry, you have to expect these kind of things,

and if you can't deal with them then it is going to be a barrier,

Jay and Beki, they are our closest friends in the house but,

they are still competition.

It is the day of the casting decision.

Only three couples will make it to the final.

-We feel a bit sick.

We all want to get to the final more than anything.

We have come so far, and to lose it now would be...

-You just think, because you're so close...

-To go would be flipping killing, wouldn't it?

We would like to be in the final. We have worked so hard to get here.

Because we think we deserve to be in that place. Ready. Ready for battle.

As they head to the casting studio,

their fate is now in the hands of the judges -

model agent Jody Furlong and relationship expert Emma Kenny.

Between them, they will decide which couples are compatible enough

to deserve a shot at the modelling contract.

First, Jody will reveal how they did in the modelling challenge.

So this week was all about compatibility.

You had a photo shoot based on real life superheroes.

So, Vaughan, let's look at your picture with Alison.

-I think that is great.

-It is cool.

-I am confused, is a comedy? Isn't it comedy?

I think you're over the top. I don't know what your direction was.

But it just seems a little bit too much to me.

-She did tell me to hold my mouth like that.

Following direction, she had the look and style she was explaining and she has done fantastically well.

Damien, you posed as a firefighter. Let's see your picture with Chanel.

-Flipping heck.

-I like it. Because I think it is different.

It is not the stereotypical, obvious, "I am a model who has escaped from a fire."

You're looking quite vulnerable. There is a story there.

-I think she looks vulnerable.

-I think it works.

For me, it has been a really good progression of you, as models, but also working together.

-We want to see your face.

-I think I let us both down.

Stuart has been struggling with his confidence of late.

This is his opportunity to prove he can make it as a model.

So Stuart, you posed as a doctor. Let's look at your picture with Helen.

I think it could've been better. Definitely.

We are losing Helen completely.

I can't see your body and you have got, like, the best legs going,

and to hide your best assets is a shame.

I do feel like it is a wasted opportunity

cos I think you two together could be really hot.

Jay, you posed as a coastguard. Let's see your best picture with Beki.

Beki, you look amazing. What I like is you have saved her

and now you're just going to get it on.

Your body language is really good with each other.

You can see that you're a couple in that, as far as I'm concerned.

Jody may have given his verdicts on the couples' photos,

but that wasn't the only part to the challenge.

The wannabe models were also asked to swap partners,

so the judges could see how physically matched the couples really are.

The photographer has picked the best picture from the guys' shoots.

If it's not with their real live partner,

it will be taken into account.

What makes this picture is Chanel, to be honest.

She looks really hot.

I would have liked to have seen a bit more passion from Vaughan

but as an image, it's a really good image, mainly because of Chanel.

Damien, let's see your best picture of the day.

Unfortunately for Damien, it's Beki, the girl at the centre

of his argument with Chanel.

-Beki absolutely rocks in this photo.

-She looks amazing.

It's a really... The framing, everything about it.

There's drama, there's action. It's really strong.

For me, it's interesting that your stand-out photograph of the series

is with somebody else.

-I like our one as well.

-Yeah, I like mine as well.

But in this competition, we are looking for a couple

who can work together as the best,

not ideally to be looking better with somebody else.

Stuart and Helen have struggled this week.

if the photographer favoured them as a couple,

it could give them a much-needed boost.

But once again, it's Beki who's the main attraction.

The public vote is on how compatible they thought you looked.

The shop window challenge saw Damien and Chanel

with Beki and Jay close behind,

and Alison and Vaughan failing to impress.

That was very interesting for me to see

who got the most votes.

It's all about what the public think of you.

You have to have a connection with them.

It's all very well me telling you who would be castable.

It's all very well you saying what your relationship's like.

It's people on the street who have to buy into

not just the look, but the relationship.

The judges have given their verdicts on all three challenges.

Now, they will save one couple from going home

and give the remaining three a chance to say

why they should stay in the contest.

They're the least likely to succeed long term.

She's a specific type of model.

This week, she has shown some versatility.

They have shown the strongest relationship.

They don't really convince me as models.

The judges are about to reveal who is in this week's bottom three

and which couple are definitely through to the final.

Beki and Jay...

I think our picture wasn't as strong as it should have been.

My issue with you two is, looking at you, you are the most modelly.

You've got everything going for you.

but it's not translating onto a picture.

This confidence-in-front-of-the camera thing...

I was better this week. I was. Honest.

We're at the end of the competition and you're still not

in front of the camera.

That doesn't work for me in a modelling context.

Confidence is probably the biggest key success factor in life.

We do need the brand

to be hugely confident.

When we send you out, it's a direct message

that you have been considered the best.

Vaughan and Alison, I think you're nice people,

but I think there is something about you that the public might not get.

That was demonstrated when the public was involved,

when you did get by far the lowest points.

Once you're aware of it, you can adapt.

If you say be more endearing,

you can achieve that by approaching things from a different way.

This is not something you can tell someone to do.

It always has to come naturally.

It was interesting to know that the public didn't relate to you well.

That concerns me a little bit.

On a relationship front, I think you're 100% gonna make it,

-whatever Jodie thinks.

-It's not just about relationships with each other.

-It's about relationships with other people.

-I don't question that.

Damien and Chanel. You worry me around jealousy. Chanel worries me.

Oh, right.

We were annoyed about the quiz itself,

the questions we got wrong.

I can see an issue regarding jealousy.
