Sex sells, and celebrity couples are big business.
Global brands who just have to name their price.
Look at Posh and Becks, Brad and Angelina -
they're real people with real relationships.
They're not bad to look at, either.
For the first time, the search is on to find a real couple who can
-make it as top models.
-If we can find a real couple who are gorgeous
and in love, they'll make a killing.
But for every Posh and Becks, there's a Katy and Peter.
So just looking the part won't be enough.
There's no point investing in a couple who don't have a strong relationship,
cos they're going to break up and leave us high and dry.
I love you!
Over six weeks, eight hot couples will live together in this
state-of-the-art Manchester mansion.
This is how the other half live, isn't it?
As well as facing a series of modelling challenges...
I can't see your face.
-God, they're see through...
-..their relationships will be put
under the microscope.
If the house is on fire, what would your partner grab to rescue?
They might have modelled before, but never as a couple.
-And that means there'll be slip-ups.
-Have we done both of them?
I'll stare at you and I'll tell you to shut up.
And embarrassing challenges ahead.
I'm putting a sock down there.
Some might need more than others!
As they battle it out to impress the judges
and avoid being eliminated from the competition.
I'm not looking for two separate models, I'm looking for a couple.
It's all about making sure that the couple we choose have
a relationship that will stand the test of time.
The prize for the winning pair is a contract with a top modelling agency.
-We've got it in the bag.
-They all think they're drop-dead gorgeous.
-I think I'm genetically blessed.
-We are 100% awesome.
I was voted the top ten best looking South Asian male.
But how will their relationships cope under pressure?
-This show is 50% about relationships.
-And 50% about models.
-This is Hot Like Us.
-When you whisper, somebody will be listening.
Last time on Hot Like Us,
the couples were whisked away to an enchanted castle...
Today's shoot is inspired by fairy tales.
..where the judges wanted to see how the couples coped
in the real world of sample-sized outfits.
And while some were the perfect fit...
My face and my hair look pretty.
..for most, it wasn't a fairy tale ending.
-Why are your trousers undone?
-Because they don't fit round the legs.
-Leroy just isn't the shape of a model.
-We are halfway through
the competition. How hard is it?
At the casting decision, the couples pleaded to stay.
It's not just a long shot. This is what we want to do long term.
We really want this.
But in the end, it was Leroy's bulky build that saw him
and Chloe leave.
Regardless of this, I go home with my prize anyway.
Just four couples remain in the contest for a 12-month
-Aussie ballroom dancers Alison and Vaughan.
-I have a hot body.
I work hard for it and I'm proud of it.
-I absolutely agree.
-Fiery Chanel and Damien.
Whether he likes it or not, he's stuck with me now.
-Whether I like it or now.
-Super vain Stuart and Helen.
With my genetics and Helen's genetics,
our kid's going to take over the world.
And glamour-girl Beki and boyfriend Jay.
In ten years time, I'd like big boobs, a small little waist and a little family.
As the fight for the contract hots up, this week,
it's all about compatibility.
I want to be in the final. I will be in the final.
In the modelling challenge, they'll have to prove that they're
the best physical fit for each other.
That's if their props don't get in the way.
I thought working with Vaughan will be easy,
then they chuck in a tarantula.
And when it comes to their relationships,
they'll have to pass a compatibility test.
Where is the strangest place you and your partner have ever had sex?
This week, there'll be no hiding from the truth.
Just like, oh, shut up, mate.
And just when it couldn't get tougher, the public will be
-called in to say who they think look best together.
-I like their style.
-I like his hair.
-She wanted a threesome with you.
Four couples have made it this far.
Only three will make it to the final.
We're going to send you home.
Come on, now, what to do with this hair?
Do you not think I should just throw it up in a quiff, then? Back?
It's week five of the competition
and the hot couples are preparing for their next modelling challenge.
-I think it's going to be somewhere in a forest.
-Don't wear green. Didn't think about that, did you?
The pairs are on their way to Media City UK,
the studios where today's photo shoot will take place.
There waiting for them is their mentor,
top model agent Jonathan Phang.
-ALL: Good morning.
-This week, we're exploring compatibility.
Compatibility is what bonds you as couples
and what makes you believable.
For you to become worldwide brands,
the public needs to believe in you or else advertisers just won't book you.
Now, you make think you look like the perfect couples,
but as models, you just may not look right together.
And we're going to challenge you to prove to us
that you're the best-matched couples physically and emotionally.
This challenge will test the wannabes modelling ability
more than ever before.
Wow, check this out!
Especially because they'll be posing in front of nothing
but an enormous green screen.
This will allow the photographer to superimpose the couples onto
any background she chooses.
You've got your work cut out for you today,
because there is nothing more difficult that shooting
in front of a green screen, because as you can see, you're on your own.
You've got to use your imagination and maintain your focus.
So, meet today's photographer, Shirlaine Forest.
So, we all know there's a lot riding on you today. Let's get ready.
-Let's head into costume.
I'm really looking forward to it. I just want it to start.
I really want to know what she's going to want us to do.
For this shoot, Shirlaine wants the couples to create
a series of action shots that feature the boys as real life heroes.
Right, so you're ready to go! Mr fire fighter.
-How are you going to get them close to you?
-I really don't know.
You look like a real doctor now!
Saving loads of people, coming out to a load of applause.
Going, "Oh, my God! He's so amazing."
Seeing their men in uniform must be an exciting prospect
for the girls, who'll play their damsels in distress.
Damo will look well nice in a...fireman uniform, I think.
First, Stuart hopes to get pulses racing as he poses as a doctor,
whilst girlfriend Helen will be his sexy patient.
-Twit-twoo! You look fab, hun, you look great.
-How are you?
So if you could just lie on the bed for me, hun,
and just move your legs over to the other side.
Do I need to get strapped in?
I think I'm genetically blessed.
These two have been favourites to win the contract since day one.
-The feedback I got was that you were the best of the day.
-I can't see your face.
But recently, Stuart has lost his mojo.
-I can't see any eyes in any picture.
And the more criticism he's received...
-I kind of think you're losing confidence.
-I've let us both down.
..the more self-conscious he's become.
Your comment to me was, "I don't like looking at the camera cos I'm shy."
-I am quite nervous.
-Then you're in the wrong business.
With the judges running out of patience,
this is Stuart's opportunity to prove he can cut it as a model.
Stuart, we can't really see your face.
-If you just lean it back a bit.
-I do worry that he starts panicking.
Just get on with it.
It's almost like he's thinking it too much, he just needs to feel it.
Fixing you up.
We'll use the pen as well.
Just take the pen out of the clipboard so it doesn't look as...
-I'm thinking now.
-I wish you wouldn't bother. I really do.
-You can stop thinking.
-Stop thinking. Just do.
With Stuart dying on his feet, Helen attempts to
revive their chances with some raunchy mouth to mouth.
Beautiful. That's good.
Stuart and Helen had a lot of natural chemistry.
During the kiss, especially.
-It was pretty intense.
-My missus was amazing.
Let's get that one in before she kicks my head in.
I'm still a bit nervous,
but I'm sort of getting a bit more into it now.
Thank you very much. You did really well.
-It was getting quite steamy towards the end, wasn't it?
-A little bit.
The studio fell a little bit quiet for a moment, didn't it?
I think everyone was quite enraptured.
Next, fireman Damien is getting his hose out for girlfriend Chanel.
Can we get you all tangled up?
-Yeah, of course. Do it.
-You all right?
That's good. Love that.
I'd definitely say our relationship is edgy.
-Always on the edge, but to me, it keeps it interesting.
From the start, Chanel has dominated the pair's photo shoots.
-You just work around me.
-You need to work as part of a team.
I'm not looking for two separate models, I'm looking for a couple.
And when it came to the music video,
she didn't look happy sharing her boyfriend with Beki.
There's more fire in your relationship
than you're actually letting out, and that is going to cause a problem.
As lead lap dancer in the video, Chanel got her own back on Damien.
Put your (BLEEP) in his face a little bit.
And although they've looked great on camera...
..will their jealous streak
lead to their downfall?
I think you look amazing,
but I really have problems with your behaviour.
-In that hand, Chanel, just really grab him.
-It's looking good, guys.
OK, two, three.
Damien, you look amazing. Really good.
Damien and Chanel not only had compatibility,
they had a lot of chemistry on set.
Sometimes you can't put a finger on it - it just happens.
'There were definite sparks flying.' Gorgeous.
That is amazing. Love that. Perfect, guys. Well done.
I could have shot them all afternoon together. They were amazing.
I just hope that we really did do enough to stay until the final.
-Ladies, just dial 999 for officer Vaughan.
-Check out my guns.
The ballroom-dancing Christian Aussie is up next with girlfriend Alison.
-I'm looking forward to exerting my authority.
-Over me, darling?
Over you. Over the girls.
But the others are showing blatant disregard for the law.
It's a bit more like a gay traffic warden.
Let's not have you looking like a friendly milkman.
You are a protective, sexy policeman.
To help the real life heroes get into their roles,
they're posing with props that help their photos tell a story.
And for this shot, the photographer has something special up her sleeve.
-Now, before we get settled in, just look over there.
And there's Rosy.
But don't... Don't scare her.
Working with Vaughan was easy,
and then they chuck in a tarantula.
Just relax your forehead, Alison, darling.
I'm trying not to have a really fearful...
We want to think we make being Christian cool.
I drink beer and I dance.
In line with their faith,
the Christians don't believe in sex before marriage.
You can't base the relationship on sex. It won't last.
And as virgins to the modelling world,
they've struggled to turn it on for the cameras.
It was asexual. I didn't think you had any chemistry whatsoever.
-You're the weakest models here.
-I've got no excuses.
You're dressed appropriately to go to a wedding in the '80s.
Nevertheless, the competitive ballroom dancers are eager to please.
This is the rebirth of Vaughan.
-What do you think?
-Very different. Do you like that?
Nice and tight.
Give you a round of applause. It's much, much better than last week.
In this one, I can see you look kind of modelly.
But at the last casting decision,
they stayed in the competition by the skin of their teeth.
I don't think you've got one usable picture there. I really don't.
This picture is a joke.
You just stood there like a plank.
Every single pose was a dance move.
It was abominable.
Now they must work with Rosie the Tarantula
-to make an image that'll blow the judges away.
That's if Alison can get over her fear of spiders.
I'm here to protect you.
I've got you.
She hates furry things,
and that spider looks very menacing.
I was trying not to be feeble, because you know how they smell fear!
Just lift your chin a tiny bit so we can see it.
Come on, you guys have got faith. You'll be fine.
They were so focused. They were like, "Just going to do it."
-Absolutely. And that helped, the stoic expression on his face. Very protective.
Vaughan has shown he can be a protective police officer.
But was Alison's damsel in too much distress?
-How do you think Alison got on?
-She needs to show herself off as well.
OK, so you wouldn't book her?
Thank you. I'm sorry if I scared the spider.
I really couldn't tell you the comments from Vaughan and me,
because I was just excited to get the spider off!
Next, glamour-girl Beki will be getting wet and wild
with her boyfriend Jay in his role as a coastguard.
-Hello. How are you doing?
Right, drop the towel.
-So I just want to look intense?
-Really intense and sexy.
We work in completely different areas.
I work in commercial/glamour, and you do editorials.
When it comes to modelling, these two are chalk and cheese.
Would you book them both with that height difference? I'm not sure.
Whilst Jay has been a big hit with the judges,
pint-sized Beki has yet to shine.
It's a full length gown on a 5 ft 3 girl. It's absolutely drowning her.
Beki, it was just a struggle, the whole thing.
Really intense, really sexy.
Give it all you've got, guys.
To keep their dream of winning afloat,
they'll need to prove once and for all that they are physically compatible.
Great expression, Jay, I like that.
I can really work with Jay. I can do everything with him.
You can't fault Beki at all. Absolutely flawless.
-That's it, yes.
We're so competitive, aren't we, so we really, really want to win.
We're going to do our best.
All the couples have posed, but the shoot is not over yet.
Because this week is all about compatibility,
there's an added twist.
The couples will now swap partners
so the judges can see
if they really are the best physical match.
Are you going to save me?
The worst case scenario is if your best picture is with another girl,
that would be a bit, er...you know, a bit sort of thingy.
How do you feel about being intimate with another guy?
I suppose it's a professional thing. You just have to go for it.
It's a dangerous game.
The couples must prove they're versatile, but if their best picture
isn't with their other half, there will be trouble.
You two have to stand out.
Yeah, I suppose you have, but it's got to be natural.
You can't force it, can you?
-Chanel will already feel comfortable posing with Jay.
After all, she's already lap-danced for him.
Catch of the day.
I've worked with her before, doing a more intimate scene.
I've had to give him a lap dance, so...!
I think being rescued by him will be quite simple after that.
Do that expression again, that was perfect.
That's good. Nice expression, Jay.
As his girlfriend takes to the floor,
Damien is out to prove that their jealous days are behind them.
For some reason,
Jay and Chanel work well together.
-In the video, they worked so well together.
-They just did.
Not too sure if Damien is telling the truth when he says he was fine
with Chanel getting into everyone when she was modelling.
So I've yet to find out if he'll voice that concern.
Alison, watch that head again. You need to tilt towards me.
As the shoot continues, it's clear
that the girls are having no problems swapping fellas.
Chanel is one sexy chick.
And boy, is she beginning to be a model.
That was cute, actually, that look down.
-Very impressed with Helen.
-She's getting stronger and stronger.
And if there's one girl
who's in her element, it's Page Three model Beki.
I'm interrupting a moment here!
Sexual, like seduction, that's probably more what I'm used to.
Grab his head. Yeah.
When she grabbed my head and pulled it back, I was like "Yeah, it's working". I did feel it.
-Beki was phenomenal.
-I was dominating him and biting him!
-Love that, Beki, yeah. Keep going.
Tell you what, he's having more action than I've had in five weeks!
-Hi, your hair looks nice.
-How was it?
We didn't kiss, but we had lips rubbing off each other.
And then she was behind us, pulling my T-shirt, biting us. It might be a better picture than ours.
And following Beki's lead,
Alison has also put in an impressive performance with the other guys.
I was most impressed by Alison. I thought she looked really good.
She used her body well. Probably most impressed by her out of the three.
I thought she did 100% better.
I don't know if she's starting to relax more,
but she looks a knockout.
Unfortunately, boyfriend Vaughan is struggling to have the same effect.
# Let me lick you up and down Till you say stop... #
That truncheon just keeps rising, doesn't it?
Lower that truncheon. It looks like you're going to strangle her.
-The role is quite authoritative.
I don't think I connected well, because he was quite rigid.
# ..Cos tonight, baby I want to get freaky with you... #
At one point, he lifted my dress and I was like, "Oh!"
And if it's not Vaughan scaring the women, it's his eight-legged friend.
She's lovely, don't worry.
Somebody told me that spiders can make spikes out of their bum,
if it gets scared.
That's really good, guys. It looks really good. Well done.
But not even a crippling fear of spiders
will stop Beki getting to the final.
I was scared out of my life.
Just told myself that I love it.
You look stunning.
Just a bit more sexual for me, darling.
Beki's done extraordinarily well.
She's been professional and flawless.
-Amazing. Thank you so much.
Vaughan and Beki were like a brother-sister relationship.
I don't think he sparked any sexual tension with any of the girls.
The shoot is over.
Thank you for your hard work today. You did well.
For those of you that needed to show improvement, you certainly did.
It's been enlightening for me to see how you work with each other.
It'll be interesting to see which are the best pictures.
They won't necessarily be the ones with your partners.
Just because you're compatible in real life,
it doesn't mean that's going to come across in the photographs.
The couples won't know if their best shot was with their other half
until the casting decision.
-Back at the house, it's straight into the hot tub.
The winners of the modelling contract
must have a rock-solid relationship,
and Vaughan seizes the opportunity
to look for weaknesses in his rivals.
-So is anyone actually annoyed or
or any feelings of animosity at today's photo shoot?
-How comfortable did you feel watching it?
-You didn't look
I told you this earlier. I was fine.
-You told me you were
No. Not at the time, but... At the time, I was like,
"I'm not sure if I like this."
It was the first time I'd ever had Chanel dance with someone like that.
-Are we talking about the photo shoot?
-The lap dance.
Oh, the lap dance. Well, that's been and gone anyway.
Damien is starting to absolutely irritate me.
-I've asked him several times if he's been
-about Chanel doing the lap dance for Jay.
And he said, "No, no, I was cool."
Obviously, I found it hard when Chanel
had to do a lap dance for Jay.
It's natural. You're looking at your girl giving someone else a lap dance. It's like, "Just shut up."
They're trying to make you say things
that you know they're going to try and twist.
Well, if that's how they want to play it, you know what I mean?
At the end of the day, they're not here to make friends.
As the gloves come off, one thing's for sure -
if any of the couples aren't compatible,
it will be revealed in tomorrow's relationship challenge.
As the hot couples edge closer to the 12 month contract,
they're being tested on their compatibility.
You may think you look like perfect couples,
but as models, you may not look right together.
Having posed with each other's partners,
the judges will now be able
to weigh up how physically well matched they are.
-I was dominating him and biting him.
He's having more action than I've had in five weeks!
-And while some are a natural fit...
-That is amazing! Love that.
Stuart and Helen had a lot of natural chemistry.
-..Others have struggled to impress.
-So you wouldn't book her?
Later, the public will decide who they think looks best together.
-Do you have boyfriends?
-Does he look like that?
But looking good together is only half the task.
They must also prove they're emotionally compatible,
and that's where relationship judge Emma Kenny comes in.
I'm a therapist who specialises in relationships.
I'm not here to judge the couples on how they look.
I'm here to assess the strength of the bond they have between them.
Today, I'm going to be thinking about compatibility.
Whilst you might think you want the same things, in reality, people have different hopes and dreams.
We're creating a brand, and within that brand we need to know
you're going to be together. So today it's my job...
to find out just how compatible you guys are with each other.
I've devised a really simple compatibility questionnaire.
And that is going to test how well each of our couples actually know
the person they're sharing their lives with at the moment.
Stuart and Helen, you're my first couple. Come with me.
To work out if they are compatible,
Emma will interrogate the couples individually.
I want you to not think too much about this.
-It's a quick-fire quiz.
Hi, Beki. Come and sit down.
If their answers are the same, they will score highly in this challenge.
How well do they know their partner? Physical attraction doesn't last for ever.
In fact, that's probably
the first thing to diminish in long-term relationships.
What are you and your partner most likely to argue about?
-What is your partner most proud of?
-What animal would your partner compare you to?
If the house was on fire, what would your partner grab to rescue?
-When would you like to get married?
-I know she wants to get married before she's 30.
-Before I'm 30.
I bought a ring in January, and my plan is to get engaged in summer.
-Does she even know?
-No! The ring's hidden in my cupboard.
-How many children do you want?
Does he know? What are you most scared of?
She's most scared of me dying before her.
Of Vaughan dying first, definitely.
Where was the strangest place you and your partner have ever had sex?
There's a few places.
-Side of the motorway!
-Side of the motorway.
What's your favourite part of your body?
-Her legs to her bum.
-I'd say my teeth.
If your partner was a superhero, who would they be?
Are you all right?
They asked me, "Who would you most fancy if you had to choose someone?"
-Who did you say?
-Yeah, I said that.
-Woo! Oh, yeah.
-I said Batman, he said Superman.
For her favourite feature on Helen,
Helen said something she hates on herself. She said teeth.
-hate your teeth!
I'm just stoked that we got the same answers on some,
literally word for word. Before you're 30.
While Vaughan and Alison are convinced they have aced the challenge,
most are worried about how they have fared.
The test may seem straightforward, but one simple slip-up
could reveal much deeper problems in their relationships.
If you didn't have Chanel here
-and you had to select an individual that you most fancied...
-As in, in this house?
-There is no one who is my type!
You should know these facts about your partner.
So it is interesting to see who has done unbelievably well
and, to be honest, who has done just average.
Hey, babe. How was it?
And although Damien clearly knows a lot about his girlfriend,
there is one question that fiery Chanel needs to know the answer to.
Oh, they asked about fancying, that's it. Who would you fancy?
-I said no one.
-I said Beki.
-Did you not say a name?
-I said no one.
-I said, "Damo is even going to say no one."
-Why did you say it?
Because she is funny. Well, I didn't really say anything,
I just thought because she is kind of, like, the closest person to you, really.
It is not that I am attracted to her,
it's just that I thought, "This is the only girl I really know".
So I just said her. It doesn't mean anything, does it?
It didn't really bother me. I don't know how bothered Chanel is about it. Are you going to kill me?
That hole just keeps getting bigger, Damien.
-Give me a kiss.
-What's the matter?
-Can you talk to me please? Please?
-Is she much better?
-Who do you think?
Oh, I see what this is all about.
-Watch my hair, please.
-I'm not on your hair.
-Look at how much together we are.
The casting decision is not until tomorrow morning,
so the judges want to put the couples through one more compatibility test.
As long as we wear the same sort of colours,
you have got to look your best.
I reckon grey.
That will do, won't it?
They have been asked to pick their favourite outfits
to meet with modelling judge Jody Furlong.
Experienced casting director Jody is looking for a couple
with the looks and the personality to become a popular brand.
But that can only be achieved if the public buy into them.
So he has asked the pairs to meet him
in central Manchester for the ultimate popularity contest.
So, your challenge today is to put yourself in this shop window
and sell yourselves as couples.
We need to find out what the public think of you,
whether or not they buy into you as a couple and whether or not they feel you look compatible.
So in you go.
The public will be asked to pick the couple
they think look best together and they will mark their choice
by drawing an X on the window in front of their favourites.
Having the public judge us is kind of scary, really,
because you want them to like you but you can't exactly make them.
Let's just strike a pose, babe.
What I want you to do is have a proper look at all the couples
and then put a mark on the bottom of the window of the couple that
you think are most compatible, that look best together.
-You have got the first one, you
Not many people would go and stand in a shop window
and have the public put an X, "I like you."
It's a good thing they didn't put who they didn't like! Imagine that!
-Cheeks are a bit sore now.
-I can't even go like this.
The public's feedback will also be noted by Jody.
And the shoppers are not afraid to speak their minds.
There is something about this set that make that makes them
seem a little bit pretentious in some way.
But Stuart and Helen have devised a plan to rack up the votes...
flirt with the punters.
We kind of took like a playful approach on it
because you could see like that the people on the other side
wanted to get engaged in you. It was really fun.
-Look at them, they look so happy together.
-Stuart and Helen were bang on it straight away.
-I like their style.
-I like his hair.
-They seem a bit natural, comfortable together.
Anyone who marked us got a lot of praise. Go and get your mate!
-There are three votes there.
-One, two, three.
-Are you allowed to talk to them?
-I don't know.
I feel like I should be dancing to the public, you know, entertaining them.
While Stuart and Helen will do anything to win over the public,
Christians Vaughan and Alison are taking a more conservative approach.
He looks a little like he doesn't want to be there.
They look quite frigid and a bit tense.
We did take a little bit more serious approach.
I obviously understand the concept of selling yourself, but there is a level, too.
It is hard keeping up a smile for about 20 minutes.
So hard. My feet are killing.
Damien and Chanel, on the other hand, have managed to put
their argument behind them to arouse some interest from the passers by.
-Do you have boyfriends?
-Does he look like that?
-Would you like to?
-They have got a lot of chemistry. They are both hot. Like, literally, I'd do both of them.
She wanted a threesome with you. Dirty girl.
That was really fun. We really enjoyed yourselves, didn't we, babe?
Yeah, it is abuzz when they do come up to you and tick you.
But when they don't, you're kind of grrrr.
When they don't, it motivates you. You think, "The next one I am getting."
It is like a game. We turned it into a game.
The results are in.
Helen and Stuart have come joint first..
..with Damien and Chanel.
Both got 21 votes.
Joint first is wicked. We cannot really ask for much more.
To come top, that is quite reassuring.
In second place, Jay and Beki with 15.
-We weren't the best, we weren't the worst, so, you know.
-And it wasn't that far away from them.
And left on the shelf, it is Vaughan and Alison, who only attracted seven of the 64 passers-by.
At the end of the day, if they want to judge
what 30 people from the same shopping centre think, that is OK.
-Had we have been in some other area, we might have done better.
Well done, everybody. Interesting challenge.
Part of modelling is selling yourselves
and selling yourself as couples, so I've got to commend you two.
You were like, come on, come over here.
-The truth is, a lot of people voted on who they fancied, really.
Well done, everybody.
At least winning has helped patch things up for Damien and Chanel.
It is not just that we came joint first, it is that there
was a big gap between first and fourth.
-So that was a massive boost for us, massive.
-Good luck, good luck.
So, this time tomorrow, this table will be down to six plates.
-Is anyone confident?
-I don't think anyone is confident.
-I do not think so, no.
-You are literally that close.
Back at the house,
the couples are discussing who might make it to the final.
And as they are thrash out the week's events,
there is one particular task that many of them can't stop thinking about.
Emma's compatibility test.
What did Helen say was her favourite feature on her body?
-Honestly, I just messed up.
-She chose her teeth. Helen hates her teeth.
Hates them with a passion.
We got the question, who would you fancy in the house
if you had to fancy someone?
-And Chanel goes, "I do not fancy anyone".
-I said, "No one is my type."
But me, I went, "Er, er, er...Beki". Like that.
I felt kind of awkward when I was kind of the girl who had caused the friction between Chanel and Damien
Because Damien said he fancied me.
But it's one of those things, isn't it? He had to answer the question.
You have got to have a strong relationship to know, "You know what?
"We know we are secure."
If you haven't got that base foundation, the cracks are going to come straight through.
But as the hot couples get down to karaoke...
# Come on, Barbie, let's go party Oh, oh, oh... #
..it is clear that Chanel won't be forgiving Damien any time soon.
In the modelling industry, you have to expect these kind of things,
and if you can't deal with them then it is going to be a barrier,
-more than anything, isn't it?
-Not just for work, but for your relationship.
I love you, Ken!
Jay and Beki, they are our closest friends in the house but,
they are still competition.
It is the day of the casting decision.
Only three couples will make it to the final.
-We feel a bit sick.
-Really nervous. Big pressure on this one.
We all want to get to the final more than anything.
We have come so far, and to lose it now would be...
-You just think, because you're so close...
-To go would be flipping killing, wouldn't it?
We would like to be in the final. We have worked so hard to get here.
We will fight for it, absolutely.
Because we think we deserve to be in that place. Ready. Ready for battle.
As they head to the casting studio,
their fate is now in the hands of the judges -
model agent Jody Furlong and relationship expert Emma Kenny.
Between them, they will decide which couples are compatible enough
to deserve a shot at the modelling contract.
First, Jody will reveal how they did in the modelling challenge.
So this week was all about compatibility.
You had a photo shoot based on real life superheroes.
So, Vaughan, let's look at your picture with Alison.
-I think that is great.
-It is cool.
-I am confused, is a comedy? Isn't it comedy?
I think you're over the top. I don't know what your direction was.
But it just seems a little bit too much to me.
-She did tell me to hold my mouth like that.
Following direction, she had the look and style she was explaining and she has done fantastically well.
Damien, you posed as a firefighter. Let's see your picture with Chanel.
-I like it. Because I think it is different.
It is not the stereotypical, obvious, "I am a model who has escaped from a fire."
You're looking quite vulnerable. There is a story there.
-I think she looks vulnerable.
-I think it works.
For me, it has been a really good progression of you, as models, but also working together.
-We want to see your face.
-I think I let us both down.
Stuart has been struggling with his confidence of late.
This is his opportunity to prove he can make it as a model.
So Stuart, you posed as a doctor. Let's look at your picture with Helen.
I think it could've been better. Definitely.
We are losing Helen completely.
I can't see your body and you have got, like, the best legs going,
and to hide your best assets is a shame.
I do feel like it is a wasted opportunity
cos I think you two together could be really hot.
Jay, you posed as a coastguard. Let's see your best picture with Beki.
Beki, you look amazing. What I like is you have saved her
and now you're just going to get it on.
Your body language is really good with each other.
You can see that you're a couple in that, as far as I'm concerned.
Jody may have given his verdicts on the couples' photos,
but that wasn't the only part to the challenge.
The wannabe models were also asked to swap partners,
so the judges could see how physically matched the couples really are.
The photographer has picked the best picture from the guys' shoots.
If it's not with their real live partner,
it will be taken into account.
Vaughan, let's see your best picture of the day.
What makes this picture is Chanel, to be honest.
She looks really hot.
I would have liked to have seen a bit more passion from Vaughan
but as an image, it's a really good image, mainly because of Chanel.
Damien, let's see your best picture of the day.
Unfortunately for Damien, it's Beki, the girl at the centre
of his argument with Chanel.
-Beki absolutely rocks in this photo.
-She looks amazing.
It's a really... The framing, everything about it.
There's drama, there's action. It's really strong.
For me, it's interesting that your stand-out photograph of the series
is with somebody else.
-I like our one as well.
-Yeah, I like mine as well.
But in this competition, we are looking for a couple
who can work together as the best,
not ideally to be looking better with somebody else.
Stuart and Helen have struggled this week.
if the photographer favoured them as a couple,
it could give them a much-needed boost.
But once again, it's Beki who's the main attraction.
A really hot photo. Very connected. Beki's on fire.
There's a thing about you and the side of your face, Stuart...
-I understand that, but the last three shoots we've done,
all I've seen is the side of your face.
I knew as soon as I did it. I did suggest doing front angles on.
Beki, how does it feel? You've appeared in...two shots so far.
I feel really happy to prove to you I can do this.
You've shown that this week. It's a side to you we haven't seen before.
-It's worked really well, so well done.
Beki has outshone two of the other girls.
But it's the photo with her boyfriend, Jay, that matters.
Who did the photographer pick as his best partner?
Let's look at your best picture of the day.
-The only couple.
Beki, really good job from you this week.
-Last week, you were upstaged by Jay.
This week, you might be upstaging him a little bit.
I'm not going to disagree with that!
I've said all along that of all the couples,
you're the ones that look least compatible
but in this picture, completely compatible.
-Really, really well done.
-Well done, babe.
This week, you guys took part in a compatibility test.
If the house is on fire, what would you plan to rescue?
The couples will be given a percentage of compatibility.
Anything above 70 will impress judge Emma.
Stuart and Helen, you got 60%.
What do you think it says about your relationship
when you're thinking about that?
I don't feel fazed by it. I don't think we're gonna break up.
-It's not going to be anything like that, is it?
It wasn't a brilliant result on the relationship challenge.
I get that you're probably quite closed, but sometimes
that filters through to our relationships.
Even if we think we're open with a partner,
we're just more open with them than we are to the rest of the world.
Stuart and Helen didn't excel in the test.
Can Beki and Jay do better?
-How do you think you did?
-We were a bit unsure, weren't we?
You got 60%.
Just like Stuart and Helen.
It's interesting for me because I suppose that, as a couple,
-I would have expected you to do better.
Yeah, very close, so yeah.
Damien and Chanel. How do you think you did?
We discussed it afterwards, and we got about five questions wrong!
-You got 80%.
-Yeah. You did really well.
-How did we do that?
-I have no idea!
One of the interesting things that I know caused some issue with you
was the fact that you chose Beki as your potential other match,
should Chanel not exist.
Chanel was not happy with that.
-Why didn't you say no-one? You don't fancy anyone in here.
Basically, cos I'm an idiot.
I said Beki, just cos I talked to her the most, bar Chanel.
But 80%. I'm proud of that. I did not expect that.
You did well.
Vaughan and Alison, how do you think it went?
I think it went well.
I think it went well.
You got 95 impossible per cent!
-That's only cos she... That's only cos she...
But that is uncanny.
It shows that you two pay really close detail to each other's lives.
This week, you also had a challenge where you posed in a shop window.
The public vote is on how compatible they thought you looked.
The shop window challenge saw Damien and Chanel
come joint first with Stuart and Helen,
with Beki and Jay close behind,
and Alison and Vaughan failing to impress.
That was very interesting for me to see
who got the most votes.
It's all about what the public think of you.
You have to have a connection with them.
It's all very well me telling you who would be castable.
It's all very well you saying what your relationship's like.
It's people on the street who have to buy into
not just the look, but the relationship.
The judges have given their verdicts on all three challenges.
Now, they will save one couple from going home
and give the remaining three a chance to say
why they should stay in the contest.
They're the least likely to succeed long term.
She's a specific type of model.
This week, she has shown some versatility.
They have shown the strongest relationship.
They don't really convince me as models.
The judges are about to reveal who is in this week's bottom three
and which couple are definitely through to the final.
Beki and Jay...
You nailed it this week. You're safe.
Oh, my God!
Thank you so much!
-Oh, my God!
Everyone else is in the bottom three.
Stuart and Helen, why do you think you are in the bottom three?
I think our picture wasn't as strong as it should have been.
My issue with you two is, looking at you, you are the most modelly.
You've got everything going for you.
but it's not translating onto a picture.
This confidence-in-front-of-the camera thing...
I was better this week. I was. Honest.
We're at the end of the competition and you're still not
in front of the camera.
That doesn't work for me in a modelling context.
Confidence is probably the biggest key success factor in life.
We do need the brand
to be hugely confident.
When we send you out, it's a direct message
that you have been considered the best.
Vaughan and Alison, I think you're nice people,
but I think there is something about you that the public might not get.
That was demonstrated when the public was involved,
when you did get by far the lowest points.
Once you're aware of it, you can adapt.
If you say be more endearing,
you can achieve that by approaching things from a different way.
This is not something you can tell someone to do.
It always has to come naturally.
It was interesting to know that the public didn't relate to you well.
That concerns me a little bit.
On a relationship front, I think you're 100% gonna make it,
-whatever Jodie thinks.
-It's not just about relationships with each other.
-It's about relationships with other people.
-I don't question that.
Damien and Chanel. You worry me around jealousy. Chanel worries me.
We were annoyed about the quiz itself,
the questions we got wrong.
I understand what you're saying.
-I was kind of like...
-You were in a mood. You were in a mood.
I can see an issue regarding jealousy.
So what if you get a bit jealous now and then?
For me, that doesn't matter.
-It's a little bit jealous.
-It's about something ridiculous.
They're learning how to behave themselves and with each other.
We do not see jealousy as a major factor in our relationship.
We've got to go away and make a decision about
who goes through to the final...
And who's going home.
I'm looking at Vaughan and Alison and thinking,
"They're just not models."
Vaughan and Alison did incredibly well in the relationship challenge.
I was really unimpressed with Chanel this week.
Chanel's proving again that she's just being a diva.
I'm just really bored of Stuart's nervousness.
Helen's doing really well every week and he's just letting her down.
We've made our decision.
Damien and Chanel...
..we've seen you go from an amazing couple to look at
to a couple with a real cause for concern.
This has never been about just creating
the perfect couple in a picture.
Stuart and Helen. In person,
you look absolutely great.
But it's not translating onto a picture.
I have high expectations, and it's not translating.
That is an issue for me.
Alison and Vaughan,
you have a very strong relationship.
But in the task with the public,
that's really where the cookie crumbles.
How do other people perceive you?
We've made our decision about who's going home.
As a brand and as a couple,
we have to send you out there knowing that people will like you,
buy into you and believe in you.
And because of that, Alison and Vaughan...
-..we're going to send you home.
# I could get through those days... #
Thank you to this amazing girl.
She's been awesome for this experience. Thank you, darling.
I've got no fire. I understand what you're saying.
If you're expecting a fiery reaction, I can't give one.
Thank you again. Bye, guys.
# My friend
# I'll save my last dance for you
# My friend... #
Ah! Vaughan and Alison. How are you doing?
-All out of feeling.
I think it was the right people who went home.
-We've made it to the final.
-Made it to the final.
We're in the final! I'm so excited!
-Being a good competitor is knowing...
-..where you stand.
-How are you feeling about it?
We wanted to get into modelling. That's why we did this.
Made it through to the final!
# ..last dance for you... #
We do have the right three couples in the finale.
You're in the finals. How do you feel?
The hard work's really got to start.
Only one of them can walk away with that contract.
It's now about winning.
The remaining three couples face one of the toughest photographers.
Where are they? Come on!
As they come within touching distance of the prize,
friendships are left by the wayside.
-This is what we want.
-You don't want us to do it.
-If you did, you'd do it.
-In the final of Hot Like Us...
The couple that are going to win this competition are...
# I saved my last dance for you
# My friend
# I saved my last dance for you... #
Series that searches for the ultimate model couple - but in this show, just looking gorgeous won't be enough. The judges are looking for a real couple with knockout model potential, but also a rock-solid emotional bond that will see them together forever. After all, they can't award the contract to a pair who are going to split up.
There are four hot couples left in the Manchester mansion competing with each other in both relationship and modelling tasks. Judging their modelling ability is casting director Jody Furlong - he wants to be sure they've got the looks to make it in the tough world of modelling. But there's more to this show than meets the eye - and relationship expert Emma Kenny is judging the couples on the strength of their relationships with a series of telling tasks designed to ensure their love for each other will stand the test of time. Mentored by former casting director Jonathan Phang, the couples will need to prove they've got what it takes to win a contract with a top model agency.
In the penultimate episode, our model couples pull out all the stops to get a place in the final as they are tested on their physical and emotional compatibility. With a hi-tech greenscreen photoshoot, the models enter the challenging world of special effects. But the challenge takes an unexpected twist as the judges decide to mix up the partners for the photoshoot. So, will they look best with their real-life partners or will they be shocked to discover they are more suited to someone else's?
The judges have a tough time whittling down the models to the final three as we say a tearful goodbye to one of the couples.
