Mats and knots are caused when cats' hair gets tangled and dirty.

They can be uncomfortable,

so you should brush and groom your cat often to help prevent them.

It's important to keep Felix's head dry

so that water doesn't get in her ears.

We're even using special cat shampoo.

She's going to be nice and squeaky-clean.

Not all cats like water,

but Felix is quite used to this

and Louise knows exactly what she's doing.

Louise is cleaning Felix's paws, which is very important.

Because she works in the station, her paws can get mucky.

It's good to keep them nice and clean.

If you have an outdoor cat, it's also good to check your cat's paws

for any cuts or splinters they might have picked up when out and about.
