Yeah, it's me, Mum.

Er, I can't do my shift in the caf today.

She's sitting up and talking now,

but she's still got problems moving her legs.

Still no news on the driver, I suppose.

And the police? Have they got back to you or anything?

Um, are you off to the crem? Because I'll hold the fort here for a bit.

-Don't you want to get up the hospital?

-No, no. I'll be fine.

I'm so sorry, Will. I had to stay overnight.

But Janet needed me and I needed to speak to her doctors anyway.

But, you know, she is in the best place she can be right now

and she's being really well looked after.

She's going to be fine. OK? You know she is.

She's already sitting up, chatting away to the nurses.

You know our Janet. Nothing keeps her down for long.

-But she still has to have a few more tests.

-What did the doctor say?

-The doctor thinks there may be a problem with her spine.

That's why her legs are feeling a little bit strange, you know.

But we'll just have to wait and see how she is later on.
