-..being able to rummage through -any archive of collection of art... | 0:34:51 | 0:34:57
-..is fantastic. | 0:34:57 | 0:34:59
-Visiting the National Library and -viewing their archive is an honour. | 0:34:59 | 0:35:06
-Love Art is the National Library's -campaign... | 0:35:08 | 0:35:11
-..to promote -our collection of portraits. | 0:35:12 | 0:35:17
-Being part of the campaign means -there's fashionable choices to make. | 0:35:17 | 0:35:23
-The campaign started in April... | 0:35:23 | 0:35:27
-..when celebrities were invited -to choose various pieces of art. | 0:35:27 | 0:35:30
-Each chooses a month's worth of art -so that's four paintings. | 0:35:30 | 0:35:35
-It's a great idea as you visit -the library's incredible storerooms. | 0:35:35 | 0:35:42
-Our first stop is quite obvious -as we're in the Kyffin storeroom. | 0:35:43 | 0:35:49
-It's incredibly valuable... | 0:35:49 | 0:35:53
-..as this is the world's biggest -collection of work by Kyffin. | 0:35:53 | 0:35:57
-Yes, we own the biggest collection -of work by Kyffin Williams. | 0:35:57 | 0:36:02
-It has 200 oil paintings on canvas -and over 1,600 pieces on paper. | 0:36:02 | 0:36:10
-This is a library but we have -an array of collections... | 0:36:11 | 0:36:15
-..including over 70,000 paintings. | 0:36:16 | 0:36:21
-This wide choice means you can find -some lesser-known pieces. | 0:36:22 | 0:36:28
-My first choice is of Miss Parry. | 0:36:28 | 0:36:33
-She isn't as glamorous as Levi -but I love the age of Kyffin's muse. | 0:36:34 | 0:36:42

-I've sketched fashionable images -all my life... | 0:36:53 | 0:36:57

-He had a head for business... | 0:37:11 | 0:37:15
-..and chose to depict -the Welsh national costume. | 0:37:15 | 0:37:21
-Art is very personal -and you know if you like something. | 0:37:21 | 0:37:26
-I've chosen two photographs -and I love them. | 0:37:26 | 0:37:30
-These aren't the originals but these -ladies are dressed very smartly. | 0:37:31 | 0:37:37

-These photographs were taken by the -famous photographer, John Thomas. | 0:37:42 | 0:37:47
-John persuaded them to model after -offering the loan of the clothes. | 0:37:47 | 0:37:54
-My choice of four had to include -this portrait of Sian Phillips. | 0:37:55 | 0:38:01
-I love the colour, technique and the -artist has brought her eyes to life. | 0:38:01 | 0:38:09
-David Griffiths is one of -Wales' prominent portrait artists. | 0:38:09 | 0:38:15
-The National Library has -a massive collection of his work. | 0:38:15 | 0:38:21
-The rich colours, textures and -half-smile captures Sian to a tee. | 0:38:21 | 0:38:27
-It brings style and fashion -to my choices. | 0:38:27 | 0:38:32
