-Vaughan learnt he is related to the

-hymnist by tracing his family tree.

-And Trystan will perform one of his

-for an unusual pop-up exhibition.

-Welsh Language Music Day is tomorrow

-and there's an upcoming record fair.

-Sign 2 Sing Day also raises

-awareness about being deaf.

-Our cameras went to Ysgol Y Ffwrnes

-in Llanelli to hear more about it.

-I'm sure many viewers are fans

-of the sci-fi series, Doctor Who.

-But what is the connection between

-Ysgol Cwm Rhymni and the series?

-The Arts Council of Wales

-has sponsored its new project.

-Daf Wyn spun off in his Tardis

-in search of the answer.

-Pop-ups are popular at the moment.

-There are pop-up restaurants,

-shops and exhibitions...

-..that only open for a short period.

-Ysgol Gyfun Cwm Rhymni is home

-to a pop-up with a difference.

-The school have been working

-on this creative project.

-Pupils have learnt about

-the digestive system in Science.

-I wanted to improve the way

-they placed everything in order...

-..and their scientific terminology.

-The project brings it all alive

-and improves the task for them.

-We turned to the craze of escape

-rooms and worked along these lines.

-A large body was created for pupils

-to travel through and act as food...

-..to see what happens

-when food is digested.

-Ten Year 9 pupils were involved with

-the creation of this large body.

-They were assisted by Arwel Jones,

-the set designer for Doctor Who...

-..and Sherlock.

-It was their idea and I presented

-examples to see if they suited.

-Last week, we started to built it.

-Arwel would bring ideas to us

-and we would decided if we liked it.

-It's great that someone like him

-is working with us.

-It's taken three weeks to create and

-I thought it would take one or two.

-There's a reason for this

-change of learning method.

-There are changes in the curriculum

-for working in a creative manner.

-This will be extremely vital

-for the next generation.

-Versatility and creativity

-will be important for their future.

-Welcome to the stomach

-where the children are tested.

-We've got two types of acid here.

-They have to neutralize one of them

-and see which one kills bacteria.

-Argh!

-I'm a foreign bacteria

-and you're not going anywhere.

-Only one thing destroys me

-and that's stomach acid.

-Argh!

-We're inside the duodenum.

-The duodenum distributes

-enzymes from the pancreas.

-The enzymes break food down

-into glucose.

-It's stored in your system

-and creates energy.

-We've soaked up water with sponges

-and squeezed it into a bucket.

-What's the purpose of this?

-It symbolizes the role

-of the small intestine.

-I like the section

-with the sponges and water.

-It shows how the body

-separates solids and liquids.

-Hold your nose as we've reached

-the back-end of the tour.

-We put dirt in the pipe and it

-similizes how fibre is digestive.

-It turns into faeces

-and makes the system work better.

-It's a great way of learning.

-It's great for those

-who don't like written work.

-It's a fantastic experience.

-What we've learnt in the classroom

-has been brought to life here.

-I can't explain how happy I am to

-take part in something like this.

-They've truly enjoyed and it has

-stirred an interest in the subject.

-They've immersed themselves

-into the project.

-My first guest is the broadcaster

-and politcal correspondant...

-..Vaughan Roderick.

-I did wonder about doing it

-at first...

-..in case I didn't like

-William Williams Pantycelyn!

-Thankfully, I didn't find someone...

-..who was narrow-minded...

-..but learnt that he was a man

-I would have liked to have met.

-I shared this journey

-with my sister, Sian.

-Every family has its own legends.

-My family has a tradition

-of red hair.

-It's thought that this came

-from the Pantycelyn family.

-My family also had William

-Williams Pantycelyn autograph.

-It was in a book.

-We found a strand of hair

-in the home of Howell Harries...

-..and it belonged to

-William Williams Pantycelyn.

-It was bright red!

-I suspect someone

-had been colouring it!

-I visited many places...

-..for this special radio programme.

-William Williams Pantycelyn

-had a religious conversion...

-..when he listened to

-Howell Harris preaching...

-..so we went to that house.

-Zurich is wonderful.

-It's a bit expensive in Switzerland.

-It's my first time home

-What are you doing in Zurich?

-I've been working on

-a lot of operas.

-I went straight into Pagliacci

-alongside Robert Alagna.

-It's all go out there.

-It's wonderful.

-I took part in a great

-competition too.

-You came second.

-I wasn't meant to compete.

-It was a competition called Mozart.

-Singers from across the globe

-were nominated for the competition.

-Were you nervous?

-It was judged by a lot of experts.

-I wasn't nervous.

-I did finish in second.

-..as it was in French.

-I just heard them mention my name.

-Bryn Terfel sent me a text message

-to congratulate me.

-Tomorrow is Welsh Language Music Day

-The annual campaign raises awareness

-about being deaf.

-As part of the drive,

-We've been busy rehearsing

-with hearing impairments.

-Businesses, choirs, schools, Scouts

-and Rainbows are coming together.

-We collect 1 for every child to go

-towards the SignHealth charity.

-Everyone will assemble in the hall

-to sign the song.

-We've been singing a song

-about deaf people.

-I'm friends with deaf people

-and want to learn to help them.

-Everyone has worked together.

-..and to support our students

-and our signing club.

-We do a lot of fun tasks

-in the club.

-We play sign games

-and we learn lot of new things.

-I've learnt how to sign animals,

-colours and many other things.

-I come to school with my brothers,

-Caio and Gruff.

-Caio is deaf.

-As he's grown up,

-he's had to have hearing aids.

-Deaf people sign so that

-others know what they want.

-In the beginning, we only had one

-child who could sign at the school.

-These days, everyone can sign,

-especially the staff.

-It makes me very proud of the school

-and I'm happy to be a part of it.

-# We are better off together

-if we only try #
