-The Carmarthen Male Voice Choir...

-..has taken 57 years

-to make their first CD.

-We'll hear about the CD

-in a moment...

-..but let's hear about

-the history of this choir.

-# To everyone who is faithful,

-under his banner #

-The choir was established

-over 50 years ago in about 1958...

-..with about 20 to 30 members

-and it grew from there.

-At one time,

-there was about 60 members.

-We went on a tour of Ireland

-and flew from Swansea to Cork.

-The time came to return

-but we were one seat short.

-Luckily, one member of the choir

-sat in the co-pilot's seat...

-..and we got home safely.

-We've had some faithful members

-including John Gibby.

-Three or four years ago...

-..we held a special concert

-to thank him for his work.

-The last 50 years have flown by.

-During the day, I worked hard

-selling animal feed...

-..and would come to choir to relax

-with some very special friends.

-I was 28 when I joined the choir and

-have been its chairman twice...

-..as well as the organizer

-of concerts.

-I think I've done every job

-in the choir.

-My partner, Heather was asked

-to be the choir's accompanist.

-I told her that if she was going,

-then I was going too!

-Heather's been the accompanist for

-four years and thoroughly enjoys it.

-Our next concert is on Friday for

-the Eiriol Mental Health Advocacy...

-..at the Tabernacle in Carmarthen

-but when did it all start for you?

-I've been making the jewellery

-for eight years.

-At first, it was something

-I could do from home.

-I have two small children so wanted

-to be home if they needed me.

-Four years ago, I did

-an access course in Art and Design.

-Following that, I did a BA at the

-Glyndwr University in Wrexham...

-..in Applied Arts and Jewellery

-and I graduated three weeks ago.

-I make silver earrings,

-necklaces, bracelets and bangles.

-My items make people happy and they

-have a thought or story behind them.

-Your work has moved on from silver

-as you also use crayons too.

-Yes, I glue a block

-of 540 crayons together.

-I'd done so much work in silver

-and wanted to add some colour...

-..so crayons were the perfect way

-to do that.

-You recently had

-a very special commission...

-..to make an award for the winners

-of this year's Fferm Ffactor.

-I was at the Royal Welsh Show

-in July...

-..and the Fferm Ffactor team

-spotted my bracelet.

-It was worn by one of the judges

-during the series.

-They also asked me to make

-some cufflinks for the winners.

-It's great as you never know

-what direction your work will take.

-..I never dreamt that my work

-would appear on television.

-Beth can make anything for anyone

-in her workshop.

-I saw how she made the commissioned

-pieces for Fferm Ffactor.

-I made a stamp of the logo to apply

-it to silver that is just like clay.

-It's put into a kiln

-and turns into silver.
