-Wales have been busy celebrating

-Fairtrade Fortnight.

-Schools and businesses

-have been helping us.

-I grew up on a farm...

-..and was always aware

-of where food came from.

-Fair Trade is a great way...

-..to guarantee that the workers

-get the correct money...

-..for their produce.

-The produce comes from

-across the world.

-Fair Trade products

-come from a variety of countries.

-We're sampling Cariad Coffee.

-Cariad Coffee of Pembrokeshire

-is a new brand of Fairtrade coffee.

-I've been to the farm to hear more

-about it this morning.

-The Rainforest Alliance and Fair

-Trade are working together on this.

-The role of the Cariad Coffee...

-..is to decide

-where the coffee comes from.

-Glyn guarantees that the

-farmers get the correct price...

-..for their produce.

-The sun is shining today but we

-don't usually see it in Wales.

-We couldn't grow coffee in Wales.

-A lot of bigger companies

-are now Fair Trade supporters.

-Cadbury's has been supporting

-Fair Trade for a long time.

-They've taken the ethos

-into their companies.

-They are seen to be helping

-and supporting a good cause.

-Over Fairtrade Fortnight, children

-have seen who support Fair Trade...

-..and it encourages them to buy it.

-There's a logo on

-the Fair Trade items.

-Yes, check for the logo on items.

-This means that farmers are given

-a decent wage for the produce.

-Bananas and coffee come to mind

-when we think of Fair Trade.

-There are also nuts and rice.

-Fair Trade helps us to educate

-others about the produce and so on.

-There are people who tell

-the stories of the farmers.

-There's a football in front of us.

-Bala Sports has started

-making Fair Trade footballs.

-The balls are from India.

-The workers who make the balls

-are given a fair wage.

-They will also get eye care.

-There's also Fair Trade wine.

-It's selling more and more.

-People want to help.

-There is also more wine

-on the market.

-There's been a 17% rise in the price

-of Fairtrade wine in Co-op.

-Today, we have casual dresses.

-This is one of the main influences

-on the high street.

-A lot of people take casual dresses

-I've been looking in the stores

-People don't want to wear

-the same as everyone else.

-Shopping in the sunlight

-puts you in a good mood.

-The sandals are going to come out

-soon.

-Our first model is Nest.

-discuss the condition, clicky hip.

-a condition that involves the hip...

-..and is referred to as clicky hip.

-Dr Ann has joined us.

-Welcome to the programme.

-Thank you.

-I've never heard of the condition,

-so what exactly is clicky hip?

-You would know about it

-if you were a mother!

-It's all about the way

-the bones develop.

-The femur needs to fit

-into the pelvic bone.

-They need to fit into each other.

-We can see images of the this.

-You can see one healthy...

-..and the other shows a hip

-displacement.

-Why does this happen?

-There's usually a genetic link

-to this.

-It's usually the first born...

-..or a daughter

-who will be most at risk.

-It does depend on the genes.

-The aim of the week is to raise

-awareness of the condition...

-..in children and the importance

-of early diagnosis.

-Here's the story

-of one Aberdaron family...

-..who are eager to share their

-experience to help other parents.

-Lleucu was our first baby so

-we hoped that she would be healthy.

-Everything was fine at the start...

-..but she was born with

-the condition of DDH or clicky hips.

-It was missed by the doctors in the

-hospital and at her six-week-check.

-We noticed that things

-weren't as they were meant to be.

-One leg appeared longer than the

-other and she had abnormal creases.

-Babies normally have these creases

-in their legs...

-..but Lleucu's were not symmetrical

-and this is one of the symptoms.

-Lleucu was five months old

-when she was diagnosed.

-It's old to have such a diagnosis...

-..as it's easier to treat

-when they are younger.

-She had a massive operation

-and was in a cast for eight months.

-This was a time when Lleucu

-should have started crawling...

-..rolling around on the floor

-and walking.

-I don't remember it at all.

-I've seen a lot of photographs

-and Mam and Dad talk about it.

-The doctor at Alder Hey says that

-cycling and swimming is good for me.

-I like cycling because

-it's something I can do...

-..and I enjoy swimming because I do!

-If you think

-there's something wrong...

-..consult your doctor

-no matter how stupid you feel.

-If I'd waited until Lleucu

-was starting to walk...

-..it would have been too late and

-her life would have been different.

-When I look back at the photographs

-of that time...

-..I feel sad because of the pain

-that it caused.

-I also feel sad

-that it was me of all people...

-..but I'm also happy because

-that's what makes me who I am.

-That isn't anything to worry about.

-If it does make a sound

-that clunks...

-..then it could be a cause

-of this condition.

-It's important to have the scan.

-It's important to keep the legs

-apart...

-..if this is detected

-at an early date.

-You look quite ill, Owain!

-The nappy will keep the legs apart.

-If Lleucu had waited longer,

-what would have happened?

-If she hadn't had

-the early treatment...

-..then she would have needed

-an even bigger operation.

-When changing a nappy,

-you will notice...

-..that one leg isn't moving

-in the right way.

-Some will think that one leg

-is longer than the other.

-You will just hope that it isn't too

-late before it's detected.

-You need to have this checked

-at the six-week-check.

-There is a great charity

-called Steps.

-They have helped the family.

-I need to add that it's important

-that you shouldn't keep a child...

-..in bounds.

-They need plenty of room to move.

-as he does all of the work.

-around people's gardens to help.

-I tell him if I know of an elderly

-person who needs help at home...

-..and he goes to do the work

-without complaint or any fuss.

-He takes all his tools and

-does whatever needs to be done.

-People want to pay him, but he won't

-accept it as he loves helping.

-How do you feel?

-It was a shock to see you come

-I enjoy being out in the garden
