Here are today's nine contestants preparing for the show.

One will go home with up to £10,000. The others will leave with nothing,

as their team-mates vote them the weakest link.

Welcome to The Weakest Link.

Any of the nine people in the studio here today could win up to £10,000.

They are strangers. However, if they want the money, they must work as a team.

Eight of them will leave with nothing,

as, round by round, we lose the player voted the weakest link.

I operate boarding kennels on the Mull of Kintyre.

In each round, aim to reach your £1000 target

within the time limit.

The fastest way is to create a chain

of nine correct answers.

A wrong question breaks the chain and you lose the money.

If you say "bank" before the question is asked,

the money is safe, however,

you start a new chain.

At the end of the round,

only banked money can be taken forward.
