-The next thing is the scan...

-..to see if it's clear.

-Cue the music!

-Last week I went for the mammogram,

-the first scan...

-..which is carried out annually.

-Usually they tell you on the day

-if everything's normal...

-..but I received a letter

-a day later telling me...

-..I needed to go back in

-for an ultrasound scan.

-Everyone had a look of terror

-on their faces...

-..when I told them.

-But there's no point

-worrying needlessly.

-It's weird

-going back into that room again.

-We had the worst news last time.

-Hello. How did it go?

-I'm really...

-This is massive. A massive result.

-I'm really happy. No-one

-in the world is happier than me.

-I'll still need annual check-ups...

-..and the experience

-of having cancer...

-..will always be part of my life.

-But from the very beginning,

-by keeping positive...

-the cancer get the better of me.
