the world that we make, every year, when I leave here, I'm dying to get | :13:32. | :13:36.
right it's wonder. White going back to the beginning, how did you | :13:37. | :13:42.

wonderful parties, a group of girls, all really fine, and a special club, | :14:03. | :14:07.

They said, Levi, sing a song, we will back you up, they began | :14:25. | :14:29.
singing, and we backed him up, and the voices blended so well, and we | :14:30. | :14:33.
looked at each other and said, yeah! Right after it was over, he said, | :14:34. | :14:40.
this is a group. What did you sing at the party? 60 minute man! You | :14:41. | :14:44.
remember that one. Very easy to harmonise on that one. We blended | :14:45. | :14:49.
well together. We have a little bit of footage of the Four Tops from | :14:50. | :14:56.

Thank you, KT Tunstall. That is from her album Khin. Before that, we | :28:53. | :29:34.
enjoyed the Temptations. Great dance legends and now a contemporary dance | :29:35. | :29:39.
legend, Pete Tong. Welcome. Great to see you. Banksy having the. There's | :29:40. | :29:44.
a drink for you, a drink for me and a mysterious glass of water to | :29:45. | :29:49.
cleanse our mouths between chats. You've collaborated with conductor | :29:50. | :29:56.
and arranger James Buckley on an orchestral record, which is a | :29:57. | :30:00.
brilliant idea but an unusual mix. How did it come about? Radio 1 were | :30:01. | :30:08.
approached last year to curate a prom and they asked me. I said, why | :30:09. | :30:12.
don't we celebrate going to be further 20 years? We spent about six | :30:13. | :30:17.
months putting together with the Heritage Orchestra and we had this | :30:18. | :30:24.
magical night in the Albert Hall and it was a great night and there was | :30:25. | :30:28.
loads of excitement but it was really the days afterwards, it kind | :30:29. | :30:33.
of went viral on the iPlayer and YouTube. Everyone was saying, did | :30:34. | :30:35.
you see what happened there? The momentum built and demand was out | :30:36. | :30:41.
there to do it again so we worked out how to do it at the beginning of | :30:42. | :30:46.
this year, but shows on sale and find the studio and make the album. | :30:47. | :30:52.
How big is the orchestra? He's got a very large orchestra! So big we | :30:53. | :30:58.
couldn't bring it today. 65 piece. That was part of the reason why it | :30:59. | :31:02.
took so long to organise it because we wanted that scale and it really | :31:03. | :31:07.
does move you. The orchestral thing is fantastic. There must be quite a | :31:08. | :31:13.
lot of challenges if you are combining those two sorts of music. | :31:14. | :31:21.
I wanted to honour how great this music was. These tunes first came | :31:22. | :31:25.
out in the late 80s and early 90s at the beginning of house music, rave, | :31:26. | :31:30.
techno and these were really special records and sometimes I don't think | :31:31. | :31:34.
they get the props they deserve so proving to people that you can | :31:35. | :31:37.
orchestrate them and perform them in that way, that's why I think it got | :31:38. | :31:42.
such a great reaction. When these tracks were made, the musicians in | :31:43. | :31:45.
Chicago and Detroit couldn't do it with an orchestra. They did it with | :31:46. | :31:54.
one finger wizardry. We've got a clip here of Insomnia at the Royal | :31:55. | :32:01.
Albert Hall in 2015. APPLAUSE | :32:02. | :32:48.
That is quite amazing. We kept the players playing with some hand | :32:49. | :32:51.
signals between me and Jules and they were cursing is at the end | :32:52. | :32:54.
because they had to go round and round. It is quite a challenging | :32:55. | :32:59.
thing to get some sort of pulse of music to keep it rhythmic. Live | :33:00. | :33:05.
music is often a challenge. They play it all. There is nothing | :33:06. | :33:09.
running underneath. Had you played the Albert Hall before? Never. It | :33:10. | :33:14.
was a first and that's my couldn't turn it down. I'd never done | :33:15. | :33:17.
anything like that before but when you get offered the Albert Hall, you | :33:18. | :33:22.
have to do it! So people have got another experience, to see if they | :33:23. | :33:29.
can experience it live. We are going to Birmingham, London and | :33:30. | :33:32.
Manchester. It is a marvellous record. We look forward to hearing | :33:33. | :33:36.
more of that. Thank you for joining us, Pete Tong. | :33:37. | :33:40.
APPLAUSE Jules Buckley and Pete Tong, what an | :33:41. | :33:44.
interesting mix. Speaking of interesting mixes, let's now welcome | :33:45. | :33:47.
this brand-new duo, from Norwich, Let's Eat Grandma. | :33:48. | :34:18.
# Create a basin and put your face in | :34:19. | :34:24.
# Voice and skin hidden in the basement | :34:25. | :34:25.
# And to explain the game is a giveaway | :34:26. | :34:31.
# Stay, create a place and backdrop it | :34:32. | :34:32.
# Create a basin and put your face in | :34:33. | :34:40.
# Acetone tears rolling down the pavement | :34:41. | :34:42.
# To retain the blame is a heavy weight | :34:43. | :34:50.
# Stay, I need your help to unblock it | :34:51. | :34:53.
# Create a basin and put your face in | :34:54. | :35:46.
# Porcelain skin is an understatement | :35:47. | :35:48.
# Yeah, I just didn't know what to say | :35:49. | :36:47.
# Is it the way that my body grooves? | :36:48. | :39:40.
# I feel it, I'll never let you go # I won't let you go | :39:41. | :40:37.
Amazing people. Over here, we have met Mr Duke Fakir the four Tops and | :40:38. | :41:46.
we have one of the Temptations who is performing with this this | :41:47. | :41:50.
evening, Otis Williams! What fantastic music, millions of people | :41:51. | :41:54.
love your music, minions of people love your records, now you are on | :41:55. | :41:59.
tour with the four Tops, you have got Grammys, you must go back a long | :42:00. | :42:04.
way with them. Do you have fun? It is a friendly rivalry, we love them, | :42:05. | :42:08.
but on stage, we try to kill them! LAUGHTER | :42:09. | :42:19.
He's here now, just behind me. Hey! How you doing! When you go on stage, | :42:20. | :42:27.
the friendliness is gone. I know that the four Tops will be trying to | :42:28. | :42:31.
slay the Temptations, that is a friendly rivalry that has been going | :42:32. | :42:37.
on since the 60s. Great for them to see, so what do people see when they | :42:38. | :42:41.
come out of the show? They will see the traditional Temptations, as we | :42:42. | :42:47.
have been going, the fancy suits, and whatever, so we will still be | :42:48. | :42:51.
the character that we have been since Day 1. You are going to do | :42:52. | :42:56.
another song in a moment. We are going to do just my imagination. | :42:57. | :42:59.
APPLAUSE I remember when that record came | :43:00. | :43:06.
out, put it on, and I was 16, girls would burst into tears, there is one | :43:07. | :43:17.
chord, the five chord, they would burst into tears. The power of | :43:18. | :43:23.
music, especially when you can move "the birds"(!) LAUGHTER | :43:24. | :43:34.
We will be hearing Just My Imagination With These Fine Fellows | :43:35. | :43:40.
In Just A Moment. And now we welcome back, Haley Bonar. | :43:41. | :43:50.
# Born in the spring, I've always needed | :43:51. | :43:52.
# And come to think of it now, so did you | :43:53. | :43:57.
# Maybe that explains this fascination with death | :43:58. | :43:59.
# "The cross protects you from the shame" | :44:00. | :44:18.
# That comes along with living in the kind of world | :44:19. | :44:26.
# Where boys can only kiss the girls | :44:27. | :44:32.
# Excuse me, sir, do you have a light? | :44:33. | :44:37.
# But that's what makes us brighter than the rest | :44:38. | :44:53.
# Who'd think a weight like this could make you feel blessed? | :44:54. | :44:56.
# Not bittersweet, the taste of living | :44:57. | :45:46.
# But we both know your future wasn't with me | :45:47. | :45:57.
# Long before your body betrayed you | :45:58. | :46:00.
# Royalty, through the streamers and the beams | :46:01. | :46:02.
# They tied you up and called you queen | :46:03. | :46:14.
# Passed out in a bathroom stall | :46:15. | :46:16.
# You still looked better than them all | :46:17. | :46:18.
# Watched the castle dance in flames #. | :46:19. | :46:51.
# I say to myself # You're such a lucky guy | :46:52. | :47:39.
# Out of all the fellas in the world # She belongs to you | :47:40. | :48:02.
# It was just my imagination # Runnin' away with me | :48:03. | :48:29.
# With a cosy little home out in the country | :48:30. | :48:37.
# This couldn't be a dream for too real it all seems | :48:38. | :49:05.
# Don't ever let another take her away from me | :49:06. | :49:50.
# When her arms enfold me I hear a tender rhapsody | :49:51. | :50:07.
# But in reality, she doesn't even know me | :50:08. | :50:11.
The Temptations! I have the best job in the world! Just my imagination, | :50:12. | :51:27.
the Temptations. Before that, we enjoyed Haley Bonar. The brand-new | :51:28. | :51:38.
wonderful music, now, we welcome, Teleman! | :51:39. | :52:23.
# Could it be you came to rescue me | :52:24. | :52:32.
# But I can't get close enough, you see | :52:33. | :52:52.
# There's a concrete wave that's pulling me | :52:53. | :53:06.
# Wanna dance that foxtrot here for me? | :53:07. | :53:24.
# And I can't get close enough tonight | :53:25. | :53:36.
# To the heat from your red firelight | :53:37. | :53:47.
