-She comes from Brynamman.

-Since graduating from the

-Royal Academy of Music in London...

-..her music career

-has gone from strength to strength.

-But, I want to take you back...

-..to a time when Fflur Wyn

-was just starting out.

-In her first onstage appearance

-as a professional...

-..she got to sing

-with no less than Bryn Terfel.

-Her father was sat in the audience,

-exactly where you're sitting now.

-Seeing Fflur and Bryn Terfel

-walking on together...

-..he didn't know anyone in the front

-row, but like any proud father...

-..he wanted to say who he was.

-So he nudged the man sat beside him,

-pointed at Fflur and said...

-.."My daughter."

-The man pointed at Bryn Terfel

-and said, "My son."

-I grew up on the Lyric stage

-in Carmarthen.

-I was a member

-of Carmarthen Youth Opera.

-I took part in four or five shows.

-This is where I did

-my first lead role.

-I played the part of Laurey

-in Oklahoma when I was 14.

-I'm going to sing

-As we turned the mattress over,

-I looked up and I saw myself.

-they had a large mirror.

-on your ceiling?

-"Oh, no," I said. "I don't need one.

-"I don't shave in bed."

-I got a row from Mrs Tomos

-who lives the other side of me...

-..for going into her house,

-and for going upstairs.

-Mrs Tomos

-said that the women in the shop...

-..had told her

-that Mr and Mrs Heinz...

-..were swingers.

-"Mrs Tomos," I said.

-"Don't listen to people gossiping.

-"They're not swingers. I know.

-"My kitchen window

-looks over their garden.

-"They don't have a tree or swing."

-Last Monday,

-I had a terrible experience.

-Felicity and I went for a drive

-in the three-wheeler.

-Suddenly, Felicity said,

-"Idwal, a wheel has just passed us."

-I said, "Felicity, that's my wheel.

-"How's it come loose?"

-Felicity said,

-"Your screws must be slack."

-That's why I've got this.

-I had to come down by bus today.

-But I'm not going home by bus.

-I've borrowed this off a friend

-in Carmarthen to go home.

-I had a trauma on the bus.

-It was only me on the bus, and

-you know what these buses are like.

-In Lampeter, a woman came on.

-Out of all the seats available,

-she had to sit beside me.

-After a mile or two,

-she started to make noises.

-Suddenly, she started to go,

-"Aah! Ooh! Aah! Ooh!

-"Aah!" Like that.

-The driver told me,

-"Leave the woman alone!"

-She got louder.

-"Aah! Aah! Aah! Aah!

-"It's coming! It's coming!"

-"What's coming?" I asked.

-"A baby's on the way."

-I said to the driver...

-.."Watch out, this woman's

-seen a baby on the road!"

-Suddenly, she shouted,

-"My waters have broken."

-I said to the driver,

-"Stop the bus. Stop the bus.

-"This woman's leaking water."

-He pulled in to the lay-by.

-He got up and told me...

-.."Phone an ambulance.

-I'm going to look for towels."

-He left me and the woman on the bus.

-I was on the phone.

-I said to the woman,

-"No-one's answering."

-"You have to dial first!"

-A woman answered. She said,

-"Can I help you?"

-I said, "I want an ambulance.

-"A baby's about to be born."

-"Where?" She asked.

-"On the bus."

-"Could you be more specific?"

-"In the lay-by," I said.

-"Have her waters broken?"

-"Look," I said. "If Noah...

-"If Noah saw the floods here...

-"..he'd build an ark straightaway."

-It came. Like a fish.

-Suddenly, plop!

-It was in my hands.

-The mother then said,

-"Give it a slap."

-I held the baby and gave it a slap.

-I said, "Naughty boy

-for coming on the bus."

-The ambulance came...

-..and the mother and the baby

-went to Glangwili hospital.

-Do you know what?

-They've come here tonight, so you

-can see the baby born on the bus.
