fantastic. Really exciting.

FA Cup quarterfinal with a semi final at Wembley just one win away.

The competition represents a last chance of success for Roberto

Martinez and Guus Hiddink this season. We should have a proper cup

tie. Welcome to Goodison Park in Liverpool. One of the most historic

football grounds in the country. It is hosted more top five games than

any other stadium in England and a couple of FA Cup finals as well.

Good evening. Welcome. Here we are at Goodison Park. Kevin, this should

be an entertaining game. You're never quite sure what you get with

Everton. One thing that you get is entertainment. Entertainment and

goals going forward. There are Achilles' heel has been conceding

the goals. 26 here at Goodison Park. That is poor considering the players

you have got. It is the way that Roberto Martinez plays, continuously

attacking through the game and his side is open. That will be their

downfall this season. And for Chelsea, we are in March and this is

the last chance saloon for Chelsea to get any silverware. Absolutely

but I think Guus Hiddink did a good job when he came in. I think the

team needs to be changed. It is the last chance as well. Newspapers tell

of a new coach is coming. So he needs to leave with a prize. Looking

forward to this one and watching Lukaku in particular? I am a fan, he

has improved massively. It is his third season at Everton. We know he

is big and strong and quick. My only slight criticism of him would be

that he should not have to, players should not have to kick him to get

angry first of all. I'm sure he could get more goals. 35 appearances

this season. He knows where the goal is, strong left foot. Do you think

that you need to be angry to play as a striker? I think within you do. I

think Everton, personal view top strikers around and if Everton do

not win something they may get approaches from Europe or clubs in

the Premier League about him. We can hear from both managers.

Domestic cups have been full of good football, full of emotion. We are

close to getting to the final in the League Cup. Now is an opportunity,

laying at home in front of the fans, to face the team with the quality of

Chelsea. They will be looking at this competition in the same manner

that we do, arriving with a similar run of form in terms of results.

That is why it is such a big occasion. And one that we embrace

and look forward to, to be as good as we can. It is equipped turnaround

after Wednesday night. Did the players need a little motivation

after what happened? Just a couple of days recovery which is very

short. And of course there is a setback but there's not much time to

mourn and cry a lot. We've got to go on. Of course we practice and talk

to the team, they have to show now they can be resilient. Do you think

Roberto Martinez, do we feel that he is under pressure, he has an

entertaining side, but the results have not been great. I think he put

himself under pressure. He was the guy that said this Everton team have

got to win a trophy this season. Barton Moss of the Premier League

last season. So he is under pressure. Do you fancy Chelsea

today, tough from the back of that defeat? If you think about Everton,

always digging deep, the tackle. I have not seen that much. Against

Chelsea, you need to be tough. Everton need to be a bit more

resilient to get a result. Without a doubt. There are two open at times.

You have to have that within you to see a game through. They can rely

tonight on Jagielka. They're on their way out. Always a terrific

atmosphere at Goodison Park. With John are commentary team Martin

Keown and Guy Mowbray archive. Yes, up the ladder and over the

roof. Before that Martin had to walk through the Chelsea supporters as

well, all extremely courteous! We're here and we're ready for an FA

Cup quarterfinal tie that is exactly how it should be.

Roberto Martinez says he does not see it as make or break. That surely

the reality for a under increasing scrutiny. And for the losers today

the season could be as good as over before Easter. New beginning for

Everton, the new majority shareholder in the club in

attendance today, he has bought just 50% of the shares in the club, just

short of that. Farhad Moshiri. He's spoken about looking at the best

options for the new stadium and looking at providing additional

funds for transfers. Let's take a look at the line-up

today. The Everton team of today has Robles in goal, back to a four-man

defence line. Leighton Baines coming in for Bryan Oviedo. Tom Cleverley

returning from ill health. And Aaron Lennon, inform, recovering from an

injury. Lukaku facing his former club.

For Chelsea it is Courtois as usual behind the defence unchanged from

the defeat to BST on Wednesday. Nemanja Matic comes in at left

field. His inclusion for the unfit Eden Hazard is the only change from

Wednesday. Fabregas pushed further forward and Jake Acosta is fit to

play. -- Diego Costa. Interesting benches, both strong.

Everton have John Stones amongst the substitutes, the subject of a

multi-million pound bid from Chelsea early in the season. And for

Chelsea, the captain, John Terry, on the verge of his 700th appearance

for the club, back after a hamstring problem that ruled him out of the

last half-dozen games. We're pretty sure Guus Hiddink will

not be in charge of Chelsea next season. We'll Roberto Martinez still

be the Everton boss? There is talk of the change. A lot of debate in

the local press. Diego Costa acknowledges the Chelsea

fans and their support. There is Michael Oliver, posing for

the pre-match preliminaries. Two weeks ago in charge of the Capital

One Cup Final. Getting these big ones just at the moment.

Romelu Lukaku might have scored in all of the last three games for

Everton but he should have put the game to bed against West Ham last

weekend. It was a tame penalty at 2- nil. Cue the West Ham comeback.

One set of players and supporters will be feeling the Blues tonight.

It is Everton were in blue on home turf. Chelsea in their change of

fight. -- White. And it will be Chelsea to get the action underway.

Looking to continue the relatively recent run in FA Cup quarterfinals,

they've won all of the last four games that they've played in.

Gary Cahill put up manages to find Azpilicueta for the first throw of

the afternoon, going to Everton. Interesting to see Ross Barkley in

that central role. Has been excellent so far this season.

Shining light. But their home form here has been disastrous. They want

to combine with Pedro. And Lukaku. Lennon. A resurgence in

form he has been enjoying in an Everton shirt lately. Now Willian.

Azpilicueta wide. Chose the wrong option at the top of the screen,

Fabregas screaming for the ball. Willian the standout goal this

season, ten goals already this year. No one else really performing to the

level that he is at. Six of those ten goals scored direct

from free kicks. Here is Leighton Baines. Scored a

cracking free kick of his own in FA Cup tie. Seamus Coleman kept it in

but only after the whistle gone. The referee did not feel the advantage

was developing properly. He felt the ball was going out of play. Michael

Oliver, good feed from Lukaku are nice and tidy. I think the referee

has done well. Barry.

Very tight between Matic and Pedro. Gareth Barry.

And Funes Mori keeping John Stones out at the side effectively.

Fabregas. Pedro. Fabregas drifting forward but

will not get onto that ahead of Jagielka.

Should be nice and comfortable for Ivanovic. And it is, he finds Matic.

Runs into McCarthy. McCarthy does a good job in the midfield. With Barry

in particular. That is how they bought their attacks, from that

platform. A bit of FA Cup pedigree of swords in the Everton team.

Gareth Barry a winner with Manchester City and twice runner-up.

Then Tom Cleverley of course who played in a Cup Final just last

season. Good decision not to sign for Villa.

Another good decision. A foul on Leighton Baines committed by

Azpilicueta. A big day for Leighton Baines, we have not seen a lot of

them lately, recovering from that surgery that he had. An angle

injury. He needs a run of games and needs to find a bit of form if he is

to make his way into the England squad for Euro 2016. They will be

keeping a close eye on him today. But he will what to get to a Cup

Final of course. -- want to. The same could be said for John Stones.

It is remarkable, he has not featured too much because of injury.

Taken off last week at half-time. Things not going his way.

Back to KL. -- Cahill. Coming in in the central

position trying to catch up this Everton line. Just not timed

correctly. Makes his run again, he is a mile offside there. Cleverley.

Trying to swing it the way of Lukaku. Courtois red that from the

moment that left the boot. Azpilicueta. Willian. Look how

quickly McCarthy comes in to close and to press. Diego Costa. Everton

trying to press five. Diego Costa just getting caught by Barry. I'm

sure I speak for quite a few watching when I say I would have

loved to have seen you come up against Diego Costa! Unfortunately

we cannot turn the clock back. He's one player I would love to go back,

to travel backwards in time to battle. The game against PSG is the

best I have seen him play all season and then he goes off with injury. I

question that as well, there was a foul. But how injured was the when

he came off last night? He has collided with them there. Everton

think that was somewhat sinister and deliberate. Was it an arm in the

face? It happened immediately after the previous foul on Diego Costa.

That will just enhance the Everton feeling. This is the infuriating

side of him. He seems to have two wind himself up and be a nuisance to

stop going across to Barry now. -- be a nuisance. Barry took quite a

hefty hit. Good disguise if he has tried to do

that. For me it looks like an accident. Two players coming

together. Catches him. From that angle, he put the elbow in a little

bit. Getting booked for it. Just about

the right decision. I think we could tell it was happening. You could see

Michael Oliver saying to a couple of Chelsea players, I know. Gave

himself quite a bit of time to think about it. But you never know with

Diego Costa, only he knows what is going on in that head. He loves to

play against the opponent, just on the edge all the time. Just leaves

the arm on a little bit. Barry might have made the most of that as well

of course. Ten minutes in. The man who always

courts controversy when he lines up with Chelsea, in the book already.

The ninth time in domestic games that he has received a yellow card

this season. Ten would mean a two match ban. We're not quite at the

cut-off date yet, and other months to go. It would be nice to get on

with the game instead of trying to deal with Diego Costa all the time.

Never far away, is he, from controversy. Here is Funes Mori.

Mori, the Everton defender immediately apologises. A definite

foul. Any contact that he gets, he is on the floor. Just holds it up,

stepped inside, and he is over. Talking of controversial figures.

The Chelsea captain back in the squad today and going through his

first stretching of the afternoon. I think he will use his influence in

the dressing room as well to get this Chelsea team back on track

after a bad display midweek. This competition has always been huge for

him, he has won it five times, been Chelsea captain four times. That is

going to pass behind. With it being the end of an era, John Terry

nearing the end of this Chelsea career, how he would love in this

season of nothing much else, to go out winning his famous trophy again.

I see no reason why not. Got to get past this very good Everton team

first. And it is a very good Everton team but I feel it is underachieving

so far this season. So do many Evertonians.

he has landed, twisting his angle. Diego Costa,

will be beaten by Matic. Pedro still down after his brush with Seamus

Coleman. We are getting a few tackles, the pace of the game

increasing. It is all being turned up. The Evertonians want them to get

in and press after that ball. Pedro has taken one from Seamus Coleman.

Just shows too much of the ball. Good on his challenge, nothing wrong

with that. Nice to see a good old-fashioned

challenge now and again. It will be an Everton throw when

play resumes, that will only happen once Pedro is helped back to his

feet. Let's hope it is nothing serious.

His comments were interesting yesterday, when asked if it was a

make or break game, not just for the season but possibly in terms of his

Everton tenure, he does not see it like that. He is of course under

pressure, the ownership coming in, I think they will give him time. It is

a family club here at Everton. But you have got to do it on the pitch.

For all the questioning of Roberto Martinez recently, Everton are ten

points off this season at this stage than a year ago. They have won five

of the last seven games. The biggest problem has been here at Goodison

Park, where they just cannot seem, as was demonstrated by West Ham last

week, to win enough games. 14 points they have thrown away from being in

winning positions this season and that really is not good enough. It

may suggest the manager does not really know how to shut up shop when

they are ahead. Great bunch of players he has got I

think the best Everton squad in many a year. Courtois, buying himself

every available second. John Obi Mikel 40 was being unfairly

levered out of the way. I feel there will be quite a lot for Michael

Oliver to keep an eye on. Cahill has managed to jog off the

slight turn on his angle as he landed a few months ago after

winning that header. Matic.

Kennedy. In comes Lennon. Seamus Coleman, a

late challenge from Kennedy. Listen to the howl from the home fans.

Demanding a yellow card for that. It does not look as if there is going

to be one. Kennedy just going in, no, there's

nothing in that. Players have got to close the ball down. Do not like to

see people trying to get other players booked. The referee did well

with that. If there not more careful putting the brakes on at times as

well. Of course, but you're going full belt trying to get the ball

back occasionally you're going to run into your opponent. There's

Leighton Baines. Lukaku. Berkeley, could not trick his way

out of a tight spot. Matic. Pedro. Diego Costa. Against Jagielka pulls

out of play. An Everton throw. And near where the throw is going to be

taken as grammar so. I'm in a fantastic position down here between

the two benches. More or less Chelsea substitute at the minute! Is

interesting the energy entered -- Everton have got is phenomenal.

Closing Chelsea down at every chance. But with both Barry and

McCarthy pushing on, it allows Diego Costa to drop off the centre-back

and pick up the ball in front of the backline. That an area that has got

to be a concern for Roberto Martinez. Thank you, Graham. More

from him later on unless he gets on for Chelsea! John Obi Mikel. A cup

winner with Chelsea in 2000. Martin told me he could travel that! I

always remember the game I lost against Liverpool. Do not know how

we've lost that. A chap called Owen did quite well. He did all right!

Adams should have been marking him! Always the fellow next to you! In

ghost Jagielka, and other tasty challenge on Diego Costa. Nothing

wrong with that. Everton know who they are tackling. Just a little

ball in there, coming from the side. Plenty of energy into that one.

Fabregas let's it run for Azpilicueta.

Matic on the move in and around the area. Fabregas tries to poke it

through to Costa, who is on the floor again. Again, theatrical.

Looking for anything he can get. Not a foul for me. Going to test this

referee today, that is for sure. You know who is in the middle. Jagielka

prevents the ball from reaching him. Lennon did well against Fulham.

Lennon down after the challenge from Fulham. That will be a free kick.

It is just normal contact in the box. He takes a dive. I am sure the

guys in the studio will see it differently, but for me it was not a

free kick. No way. Funes Mori was a scorer when these

sides met at Stamford Bridge in January in the Premier League. 3-3

draw. Thrilling game with all the goals in the second half. It was a

game which was memorable for a very late John Terry Equalizer for

Chelsea. Deep into injury time. I think Lennon is targeting Kenedy a

little bit in one against ones. That is pretty aimless from

Ivanovic. I think that is what we will see

from Ivanovic for the rest of his career now, as a central defender.

A quarter of the game gone. 0-0 in the FA Cup sixth round. Wembley

awaits for the winners. Crystal Palace have already booked their

place in the last four. Lennon, to quickly Kenedy, who has

caught him again. And this time Michael Oliver will have a word with

the young Brazilian. Lennon was just too quick. It is just his timing.

And you can hear the boos growing in volume from the Everton fans,

because they realise this will be just a word, not a card. He goes in,

it is his angle of approach. No doubt it is a foul. It is a cynical

as well. He steps on him. No booking. That is a good ball. And a

Charles perhaps. -- chance. It was a shot, but it it was way off. It is a

lovely ball from Barkley. Great idea, but he just has not quite what

a quality to go with the idea. Just one goal for Everton so far, the

late winner at Newcastle on Boxing Day.

What a test that is going to be on that side now, with Lennon using his

experience against the 20-year-old experience against the 20-year-old

Kenedy. Back is the pass - get it to Lennon, test youngster. -- test the

youngster. Pedro keeps giving the ball away. Everything is 100mph. For

a player who has played at a very high level, you expect

Cut out by Mikel. Awkwardly turned behind by Ivanovic. Everton, very

strong on that right hand side. Pedro, nowhere to be seen

defensively. Coleman on the overlap. Funes Mori and Jagielka will come

forward. This is where Leighton Baines coming back into the team, he

has got really good quality. He really whips the ball in. And it was

good quality as well. Just too many Chelsea shirts there for Everton's

liking. More quality from Baines. In towards Lukaku! Just too high for

him. It was a teasing ball. Just a bit too much weight on it. Lukaku

cannot get above it. Knowledge in the pass. He is certainly the key

man to go to. Gareth Barry wins that one. This

time it was a fair challenge. Ivanovic, again, just a little wild

with the clearance. Well, he is saying, where was the shout from the

'keeper, he could have gone back. But it is his decision, he is on the

ball. He seems to have come back to form, by and large, the Serb, after

a difficult first half of the season. But that goes for quite

future will see players. He is Aleida more than anything else, and

they need that spying in the team. You think of the old days of Frank

Lampard, Didier Drogba, and that has pretty well disappeared now.

Kenedy did really well against Lennon that time. The referee

decides that was a purely accidental collision. Jagielka is actually

trying to get out of the way I think. They are so hard to judge.

Certainly at great speed, like that. Well, he is trying to get out of the

way. Good decision from the referee. Mixed bag from Kenedy so far.

Certainly, but he will not change his game. He's going to get as tight

as he possibly can. Lovely touch from Barkley. Did not quite have

enough to get away properly from Mikel. Quite quiet so far, Ross

Barkley. Yes,, but he is developing nicely this year. Good news for Roy

Hodgson. Adding goals to his game as well. He has got a dozen this

season. Coleman being badgered by Fabregas.

He did well to get out of that. He is an important player, Coleman.

Came into the game very late. They bought him from Sligo. What a

wonderful signing he has become. This is now 248 games later.

Established Irish international, too, of course. He will be in the

party for France. He certainly will be. He is an important member. The

European Championships is getting ever closer. Can't wait. Baines is

doing everything very safe on this left-hand side. Has not played for a

while, does not want to overextend himself. I would like to see him

being more confident for such a senior player.

Fabregas finding a bit of room in the centre circle.

In came Cleverley to dispossess Costa. Costa takes up very good

positions. Lukaku I think will be offside. And

he is. MARTIN KEOWN: He just wants the ball

in that space, Lukaku. We have not seen his pace yet. Sometimes I feel

that is a better ball for him, just get him to chase after one.

Everton just giving themselves a bit of a breather. Yes, Chelsea just

happy to have the ball for a change. Very patient build-up. Barkley's

turn to try and squeeze Chelsea in possession. Baines took a bit of a

knock as he won that one. He needed to win that one. Good defending.

Azpilicueta unsuccessfully tried to take on Baines.

Chelsea have been creeping forward for a had few minutes now. Another

throw to them. Cross from Fabregas, headed out by

Jagielka. Just asking a few questions here, knocking on the

door, Chelsea. Pedro might be in! He was... Robles

did well not to slide fully into his fellow Spaniard. And Pedro ran out

of room. You give Fabregas that sort of time and space, it is a great

ball in. Heavy touch from Pedro. Better touch and he could have maybe

made more of it. He won three Spanish cups with

Barcelona. Mind you, what didn't he win with Barcelona? If this FA Cup

run comes to an end for Chelsea, THEY will not be winning anything

this season. Look at Lennon down the right.

Barkley through the middle. Not there, though. No,, it is those

three players, Lennon, Barkley, Lukaku. Real pace. Sometimes I just

feel Everton are over passing the ball. Lennon offside.

Just being patient and timing the run. Stay onside.

They have not stopped. Every Chelsea fan here today arrived in their seat

in Goodison Park to find it bedecked with a scarf. Presents from the club

and they are all being worn proudly. Diego Costa - what happens next with

him...? Willian holding off Barry. Diego Costa... It is Baines who

stops him. Ironic, it is Costa in the wide positions when you want him

in the box. He keeps drifting out to these wide areas. It is a patient

build-up from Chelsea, but is it effective? It certainly isn't.

Chelsea looking more threatening just at the moment.

I feel they need to move it quicker, take a few attaches. Get it wider

and get it into the box. -- take fewer touches. They will be happy

just to take the sting out of the crowd.

Fabregas has managed to win it back. Pedro will not get that. And he only

just stops himself from going headlong into the Gwladys Street.

Well, it is almost too into grid for their own good. -- too intricate for

their own good. You are wondering, should this ball not just come in?

which is not on. Chelsea edging ahead in terms of

keeping hold of the ball. Just that single shot on target so far, which

was Cleverley's shot from very early on.

Lukaku wins at one. Here is Lennon. Nice footwork. There has been talk

that Aaron Lennon could work his way back into England plans. He has not

played for England since February 2013. I suppose now is the time to

impress. Quick feet. I felt the diagonal was on to switch play

quickly for Everton. Roy Hodgson is not here, but Ray

Lewington is in attendance. Ross Barkley comes deep to get

himself involved in the game. And promptly gives it away to Matic.

Jagielka has caught Cesc Fabregas there. And he's going to get a

booking. Yes, rightly so. He is swung wildly at that one. -- he

swung wildly. That is wild, and Cesc Fabregas

takes one on the shin. I make that his first booking of the season.

Cursing himself for the error. It might be a big error, with Chelsea

having a free kick in this position. Well, it is a perfect position, that

is for sure. Willian looks favourite to me. Willian has fired in six

holes direct from free kicks this season. -- six goals.

The other option is that Willian leaves it to an Ivanovic Power

blast. But surely it will be Willian... It is up and over. And it

needed to over by Joel Robles! -- it needed tipping over. The 'keeper

sees it all the way. You expect him to make it. Joel Robles did not take

any chances, and Willian will go over to take the corner. They do not

seem like they are in any rush to take it. We are now in the 45th

minute. Joel Robles punches away. A few groans from the Chelsea fans

as they go back to the 'keeper. Baines cannot stop Azpilicueta.

Willian... Willian wants the free kick. As we

go into two minutes of injury time. Willian has not made much of an

effort to get back involved. Everton at times are the architects

of their own problems, giving it away.

Cleverley! It was going wide. It was easy enough for Courtois to hold

anyway. It is the first time we have seen Leighton Baines really go for

it down that left-hand side. Ask questions, be positive. Both teams

really seem to have the handbrake on. Makes for a good photograph,

that one. The give away these days is when a goalkeeper actually

catches it! The game started in lively fashion,

but it has been pretty tepid in large parts since then. Certainly

has. Costa. Arm in arm with Leighton

Baines. And now dishing out a bit of stick to the man with the flag, who

is very quickly waving away the angry Chelsea player. Is he ever any

different? He started the half like that and he has ended it like that.

But he has not managed, nor has anyone else, to find the net so far.

I remind you that in January, it finished 3-3 at Stamford Bridge, but

it was 0-0 at half-time. A bit of a shortage of quality. Virtually no

chances. Plenty of tackles, plenty of pressing, plenty of aggression,

but no quality whatsoever. Both teams playing at 100mph. No player

has got any time to pick a pass. And there has been no goalmouth action

really whatsoever. I suppose what we have really seen is the strength and

more control towards the end of the first half, which was frustrating

There must be room behind the players and that is where Diego

Costa comes in. They were on him as well. He needs to keep the ball.

Lukaku did the same thing for Everton at the beginning. But you

need quality around you and that has not been good. Pedro has been poor.

He runs but has no control. Willian is the only one with a bit of

composure. And for the rest it has been difficult. The good teams get

around with teams pressing hard on the pitch because of the ability

they have and the confidence to say, I do not care if someone is up

against my backside, I will still give that pressure. And for Everton,

how are they going to break down Chelsea? For both sides, they are

lacking quality but it has got to come through Berkeley perhaps.

Coleman and Lennon together. It is going against the way Everton have

played this season perhaps. We saw how the crowd reacted to that

closing down. That is what they love here. That tag by Seamus Coleman

almost put Pedro out of the game. That is what the crowd love at

Goodison Park. Getting in people's faces. I do not think they love

Diego Costa! He is quite a character, or was involved. Worth a

watch. They had been targeting him. And they feel they can perhaps wind.

And they are. Two seconds later... That is the way that the game has

been. And Costa has been right in the middle of it again. No surprise.

That is the only highlight of the game! In front of goal, nothing

happened! It is personality is having a go at the referee. But he

is a threat. This is the penalty shout Costa was looking for. Not a

penalty. That was maybe the only bit of goalmouth action. There was very

little in the final third in particular in the goalmouth. Apart

from perhaps Cleverley. He has been involved! Mr angry! As the players

get fired in the second half we could expect a bit more space, a bit

more technical football. From both sides. Everton, you look to those

creative players they have got. Leighton Baines, said a steady game

tonight. You get Costa in play, he has been excellent in the last few

weeks and he will make a bit of space for himself in the penalty

area. That is where Everton have been undone, on the attack at times.

You can see why the game means so much to the both sides. Almost like

a Barbie feeling to it. It is supposed to be like this. -- Derby.

If you can go to Wembley, you play with pride and everything. Everton

thinking they do not want a replay here, they want to win. At home.

Whoever gets eaten today have an end of season party tomorrow. So they're

desperate to stay in the competition for the more reaction pitch side

with Graeme Le Saux. We had quite a privileged position

behind the Chelsea dugout. We have been privy to a couple of things.

Just as Diego Costa walked off at half-time, he got quite a bit of

grief from the crowd. His response was interesting. Smoking a cigar was

what he was doing! It is hard work for Michael Oliver. We saw in the

clips, every opportunity he gets heat causes a problem for the

referee. You seem on the floor and you've got to work out if it's a

genuine foul and he's been genuine or just trying to make the most of

the situation. Jagielka with a fantastic challenge, as defenders we

love that kind of a tackle, knowing, letting your opponent know you're

there. And Costa has been coming to get the ball from defenders,

inviting a challenge. But taking up space in their area. I think that is

an outlet for Chelsea. Talking just 11 minutes to get in the referee

book. I do not know if he knows how to rein himself in! I think you will

always sell close to the wind. But Guus Hiddink, he has got to make

sure that he is calm. But they have got to cope with the feisty Everton

team, aggressive, pushing in and doing really well. When Everton get

the ball, Lukaku is isolated, Cleverley cannot get into the game

but when he has done, it he's had a couple of shots. Everton have got to

find a way of getting Berkeley and Cleverley in the game but maintain

that high press when they can. It is the kind of high press where is to

say over it and feel. But for the past eight or nine minutes they have

been tiring. It is up to Chelsea to make sure they calm down possession

and pick Everton off if they can. First up but has not worked. Do you

expect changes at half-time? I think both teams will come up the same way

in the second half. When you have got the ball, they have got to make

decisions quickly and move the ball quickly and make early runs, so when

the player receiving the ball gets that he already knows what he wants

to do. That applies to both sides. Thank

Back to the studio. Tomorrow Manchester United continue their

quest for FA Cup success against West Ham. 12 years since they last

won the trophy for an 11th time. Norman Whiteside was part of that

success back in the 1980s. This is his story.

Most footballers you can go back to your school and I remember getting

six in the school Cup Final. You remember things like this. Ask me

what I did last night, no idea! In the 1980s so much was going on in

Manchester. It was more fun, I thought. Whoever you played against

afterwards you would turn up and have a beer together. It was much

more fun. Big Ron manager put me in the

Manchester United first-team at 16, tremendous achievement. It was great

the manager had so much faith in me but up to play for United at 16, to

be one of the youngest ever players, it was a great honour for me. The FA

Cup is still to me once the best there is.

We play Brighton in the 1983 final. Manchester United were the

favourites. At the very death, if truth be

known, we should have lost the Cup Final. Bailey in his opinion said it

was insane. I think Gordon Smith missed a sitter. We played was on a

Thursday night. We upped the ante a bit. I scored the second with a

header. The aim was to score a goal in the

Cup Final at Wembley. Norman Whiteside, once the goal scorers.

They say I turn it on on the big occasions. We just need to win the

cup at the end of the day. It does not matter if I score.

Everton were favourites, the game was not a great spectacle. In extra

time we picked up the pace. A great ball out on the right wing. We were

having a bit of a break! Big level Southall was one of the best players

in the world I thought, I've to do something. I threw my leg over the

ball. And Neville had his view of struck it and that is the time to

hit the ball. You can see in the body language, we

are just drained. My arms just go to the site, absolutely exhausted.

People always say try to enjoy Wembley when you're there. It goes

so quickly. It is nice to have some of the members, some of the things

you would not do again, wearing a flat cap! I have got some dodgy

will be a tough ask. Everton and Chelsea are coming out onto the

option on the bench for Chelsea today. And of course, Radamel Falcao

has been missing since way back in October with a groin problem. I

understand he is back in training again. Whether he takes the field in

a Chelsea shirt again is another question.

Coleman has made a darting run. Barkley did not feel the time was

Oscar, though. And yet may be still not 100% trusted. Guus Hiddink seems

to have used him as a substitute more often than not. In the FA Cup

he has performed outstandingly well. Matic is being tracked by McCarthy.

That was tired - and strange. It is just when he gets into those forward

positions, has he got the energy and the quality of the end of it? This

was something for Courtois to do a few moments ago. It was excellent

goalkeeping, because Lukaku just gets his toe on this. Read it well,

takes the defender out as well. I like that.

Kenedy used the ball well. Growing in confidence, the young man. Kenedy

has gone forward from left-back. In towards Costa. Turned away from

Kenedy by Seamus Coleman. Just by being there he has got Chelsea a

How do you feel Tom Cleverley has done? He has missed a couple of

games with a chest infection. He has not played for England now since

2013. A player looking to get his career back on track. He has had

injuries this season. He is a player Martinez believes in. I would just

like to see him play the ball forward more confidently. He has

been at big clubs. I think there is more there to come out.

game. That is what he is like, though. And now we have another

spent. Goodison Park has been at its best and will make a lot of noise

Everton are going to Wembley. Through to the semifinals of the FA

Cup. They join Crystal Palace there. And the fans are loving it. A

magnificent performance towards the end of the game especially from

Lukaku. That finale edged it for Everton. At half-time we said it was

going to take something, of magic from someone and he produced that.

Pace, power, clinical. The goal was just superb. And what a season

Lukaku was having. 25 goals now for him. We mentioned before the game,

we showed some clips of him with a bit of everything in it. All

different types of goal. They said everything rolled into one. Anger!

Because he was getting no service! That is why he was angry! The

finished just sublime. Just pure class. Not good enough for Chelsea,

that boy, and he has made the difference. The first time he

that boy, and he has made the scored against Chelsea. What a goal

that was. Fantastic. The game needed something magical. It is how he

turned Cahill as well. An experienced player. You come with

pace and you force someone to make a decision. I loved it. This is the FA

Cup, and they played for it, they've nothing to play for. The atmosphere

says it all. Lukaku lit up the game. It was not the best of games but we

needed something special to happen. The goals he has taken tonight, even

on his right foot, the. Outstanding. Again Ross Barkley involved. There

was some complaints about offside. He was not offside, he held his line

perfectly. Full of confidence because of that first goal, through

the legs of the goalkeeper, just superb. Not offside. Lovely ball in.

One hell of a finish from a very good player who is learning that

role. He is getting better. He is getting better, he is a powerhouse.

He can finish, he has got a bit of everything. The first goal was pure

class, it said everything about a top centre forward. Just brilliant.

We thought we might have some sendings off in this game. And we

got one and guess who! Diego Costa. An element of controversy. Did he

bite him, did he just get romantically involved? I think it is

the reaction, it some data, for he did before. Banging into him. Barry

says, OK. Then he says OK, what do you want? Did he bite him? Barry did

says, OK. Then he says OK, what do not react as if there was a bit so

we can only presume there was not. He just changed his mind. We were

laughing about it at half-time but now it is tiresome. He spends too

much time fighting, scrapping. You cannot do that every game, you turn

the referee against you. That was a bit of petulance. Barry should have
