Fifth Round Highlights - Saturday The FA Cup

performance from Huddersfield Town. It's Robinson, it's free, Lincoln

City's FA Cup adventure continues! -- three. STUDIO: Five cup ties,

five chances of a giant killing in the fifth round of the Emirates FA

Cup, joining me to pick through the bones, two men with considerable FA

Cup pedigree, John Hartson and Trevor Sinclair. First up,

non-league Clinton city Stander championship leaders Brighton to

reach the last 16 for the first time since 1902, today they take on

Premier League Burnley at Turf Moor, could the dream continue for the

Imps? COMMENTATOR: 115 years since Lincoln City were in the last 16 of

the FA Cup, no non-league club has gone further since Queens Park

Rangers in 1914. They admit that this is by far their biggest test on

what the manager Danny Cowley describes as the wonderful journey.

Six changes for Burnley, Robbie Brady is cup tied, that change is

enforced. Ashley Westwood was a finalist with

Aston Villa, they have not gone beyond round five since 2014. Jack

Muldoon, terrific role model for all diabetics, once thought to fill

Jamie Vardy's boots. He replaces the man who has gone to Southend. One of

eight players who has had a part in all seven of their ties on this run.

Some of Burnley's oldest vans, aged between 69 and 85, the mascots

today, as we hark back to the old days of football here. -- oldest

fans. Lincoln City's 41st game of the campaign. They have played 12

more than Burnley. Early chance for Arnold, played in

here, really big opportunity for Jack Maloney. Lincoln City could and

should have been ahead in the fifth minute. Arnold was onside, when the

cross came in, Muldoon scooped it over. -- Jack Muldoon. What a moment

that would have been. Danny Cowley and his assistant, Nicky, full-time

after Alan sing their previous Braintree job, at a teaching job in

Burnley's brightest player, Arfield. Fouled by Arnold. In comes

often takes notes and sends them down to his son in the dressing

room, the Cowley family here in force. Nothing judged wrong with

that. Time might be tight for Muldoon, with Southall warming up on

the bench. What has happened here? Matt Rhead has said that there was a

stamping by Joey Barton, Joey Barton... Joey Barton seems to have

a coming together. Matt Rhead says that he stamped on him. Stepped on

his foot, there was not much in that. Then Joey Barton has gone down

after very little physical contact... What is he looking to

achieve there? Hawkridge. Did well in support.

has had a look... Woodyard has controlled the ball on the ground.

goalkeeper. Cleared away now. Burnley pressing strongly now. Came

into no man's land, made sure that he got the block, the goalkeeper

made himself big at the feet of westward. The Premier League team

finishing the game strong, they do not want to go to since bank for a

up from the back, Tarkowski is up there, is this the moment that the

Lincoln City dream dies. Goalkick given. Burnley have dominated the

last five minutes. Five and a half minutes for Lincoln City to hold

out, five and a half minutes before they go into Monday's quarterfinal

draw, Queens Park Rangers, 1914, the last team from non-league football

to reach the last eight. One last chance for the Lincoln City

centre-half to come forward and write their names into FA Cup

their, trying to shrug his man, to the far stick, headed back across

goal... Raggett, I thought it was in... It is in! Lincoln City of

non-league football take the lead at Premier League Burnley with one

minute to go! It is Sean Raggett whose header has gone over the line

that gives them what could be an historic lead! The header, free at

the far post, back across goal by the captain, Sean Raggett was there,

try to keep it out, but Sean Raggett new, he was already turning away, to

celebrate the goal, it is miles over the line. Let's make sure... It's

definitely over! This could go right up there with one of the great FA

Cup giant-killing stories. Back it comes. A war of attrition.

Lincoln City hanging on in there. Up comes Tom Heaton, three minutes of

stoppage time blade. The Premier League team fighting for their FA

Cup lives, against non-league opposition. Barnes goes near post.

Waterfall. What a performance by the Lincoln City captain today, still

Burnley come. Our field wanting it played inside the full-back. --

Arfield. For minutes of stoppage time. -- four. Tom Heaton turns into

Cristiano Ronaldo, out Woodyard has worked prestigious leaf. --

prodigiously. They want a quarterfinal place, they want

history to be made. It is up and higher, can they hold on? It is out

now...! Lincoln City have made history! The first time they have

been in the FA Cup quarterfinals, this is one of the great shocks of

the competition, up there with Herefords, Wrexham against Arsenal,

this is Lincoln City, beating Burnley of the Premier League, 80

positions above them in the football pyramid, and they have won it with a

goal from the centre-half, so very late on! Man-to-man, they have given

so much in this wonderful odyssey of an FA Cup journey continues. How

gutted are you buy that? I am only gutted in the sense that that can

happen, that was the air reality of football, I was on the other side of

it as a manager on a famous FA Cup run, you don't want to be part of it

for the wrong reasons. You have to work and graft, and be diligent, you

have to believe you will get one more chance. I think they had only

one chance in the game. Not a good day for us without a shadow of a

doubt but make it clear, ready to them, they helped to make it not a

good day for us. It is something that you dream of as a kid, to get

anywhere near this, go toe to toe with a Premiership team, if it your

best shot. You turned away the moment you headed it, you knew that

it was over. Didn't look like the linesman was going to give it,

luckily he did eventually, I knew it was over, what a win. What a set up

header, you would not have done it. I was too far out to score the goal

myself, happy... We work on set pieces really hard in training,

every week. Nice when I pay off in the last-minute in such a big game.

The fans have been brilliant all season, lovely to pay them back,

quite a lot of disappointment over the last few years. Who do you want

in the quarterfinal? Anybody, we are confident that if we can set up like

we have today, then we can beat anybody on our day. We are delighted

to have with us manager Danny Cowley, alongside his assistant,

brother, Nicky. The management duo, how are you

feeling, what are you doing here tonight, you should be out there

celebrating! Great day for us and for the football club, makes me

proud of the players, I thought they were incredible. Probably, they

don't quite understand what they have achieved just yet, in for them,

I'm sure their families, sitting at home now, feeling really proud. What

about you, first time a non-league side has reached the quarterfinals

of the FA Cup for 103 years! As it sunk in? Not really, no! It has not

sunk in... You didn't even... He has had a shave the occasion, didn't

even shave for his wedding day! I didn't shave for my wedding, thought

I should shave for Match of the Day, definitely! Did the game itself go

to the game plan expected? I think so, I think so, we wanted to break

the game down into smaller parts, when you play against a Premier

League side, as a non-league side, the challenge as a whole looks

really difficult, so we wanted to break it down into parts, 15 minute

games. We managed to get to 75 minutes having drawn five of them...

Boy, the boys were fantastic. We knew we would have to run hard, we

knew that we would have two enjoy defending, they did that. -- endure

defending. All over the park you were impressive, I know you want to

talk about the defensive issues but first, up top, they were brilliant,

won't they. Superb, excellent game plan, defending from the top, the

press were superb, as we see the ball going forward, Muldoon is

closing down Tom Eaton, shows him down the centre of the park so he

can't go out right, so they know where the ball is going. Nathan

Arnold made his name in this tournament already this season with

the goal, great pick out, looks like a poor effort, but if you see that,

you can see that he gets a slight touch on it, Darikwa, and gets a

touch and forces it. Matt Rhead here, into Muldoon, as we see here,

he has got hold of Muldoon weight at, in the box, and we have seen and

given, you can see how creative they were and how they play to their

strengths. -- he has got hold of Muldoon. The central pairings, they

were immense. They were committed when they needed

to be physical. What a tackle that is. What they did really well, they

dovetailed and covered for each other. One went short, the other one

went in behind. Threatening the runner. They hit into his head,

proper defending, not taking any chances. This is the all-important

moment, the winning goal, the 89th minute. Its Waterfall and Sean

Raggett reacted to the first header. It's over the line. What a day! Was

this the one off the training ground, that set piece? It was one,

we worked really hard. That was one for you. They were meant to run the

caller before and they didn't, they ran one recall carnage, and it was

good. Don't give too many secrets away! You have scored a few like

that but in the National League you don't get the goal decision system

to rule one way or the other. I'm not sure it would have been given in

our league. It's an incredible Cup run, you've raised around ?1 million

for Lincoln City so far. You are doing well in the National League as

well. Do you think this Cup run has helped put the magic back in the

competition? I think so. Definitely for the people of Lincoln, if you

were to come around our community where we work, everyone is buying

into what the team are doing at the moment and it's been fantastic. I

definitely think the magic is still alive around where we are working at

the moment. I want to get your take on this, actually. It was the

build-up to that corner, which led to the goal. There's no doubting

hard work, talent, it's all there for you, but also a slice of luck.

Yes, you own your own look and the way the boys worked today, their

relentless energy may be bought as a bit of luck. If it's a football

miracle, then you need a bit of that as part of it. We'll take that. You

are 90 minutes away from an appearance at Wembley Stadium! It's

incredible. How do you keep the players focus between now and then?

Quite easily, North Ferriby on Tuesday night, that's where our

focus is. We are celebrating on the pitch directly after the game and

five or six came up to is saying, North -- North Ferriby, we have to

go on Tuesday. It's a challenge forest. It will be nice to go back

to football. You were saying that read might not be able to feature

because of the short space of time between the games. Will you change

the way you play because of that? Is an integral part of your linkup play

going forward. Will you change your play for the North Ferriby game? We

have two plans. We can be adaptable. We have a good squad now, a deeper

squad. We have competition for places. On Monday we will see how

they've recovered and taking it from there. Talking of Matt Rhead, it's

fair to say he was involved in a fair few flash points with Joey

Barton. We'll get his take on a minute because he's taken to social

media. What did you make of his behaviour on the pitch today,

Trevor? Joey is a mate of mine. He won't mind me saying that's not that

much of it, he stamped on him a bit. There was a slight bit of contacts.

This is Joey's game, he unsettles the opposition. He tried to do that

with Matt Rhead, but Matt Rhead stood against him. He probably won

the individual battle. Matt Rhead was integral in the job. It's just

Joey's reaction. He feels Matt Rhead's elbow coming across but when

Joey sees that he will say it himself, he has gone down too

easily. Was that part of the game plan, to wind up Joey, to get under

his skin? Not really. We have respect for Joey Barton as a player.

We're not going to fight his battles for him, he's a big boy, Matt Rhead.

It was two gritty hard-working team going toe to toe. These moments

happen as a consequence of competitive football. George Medal

be on the phone. It's been an amazing cup run and we don't know

how long we were continue for, we wish you all the best and thank you

for coming in. Thank you. Millwall of League One have claimed

a top-flight scalp in the last two rounds of the FA Cup,

seeing off Bournemouth and Watford. Today, they hoped to repeat the feat

against faltering Premier League Let them come and see them off,

that's been the way for Millwall in this Cup run. Four home wins, now to

take on the reigning champions. The third successive win all without

conceding a goal on Tuesday. Shane Ferguson comes in for Jed Wallace,

who is out with a calf strain. It was Ferguson's Ross Ford Morison's

winner for Watford in Mount four. For the Foxes, ten changes to the

team that lost at Swan died last Sunday. A fifth successive Premier

League defeat all without scoring a goal. Only Demarai Gray stays in,

Leicester's Man of the Match against Derby. Wague makes his debut, a

Malian International on loan from an Italian side, Udinese. Millwall in

the stripes could facing red Leicester. Moving from London to

Seville in the Champions League on Wednesday. Wonderfully weighted from

Okazaki. There's Musa and it's a wonderful block. Byron Webster miles

away. -- piles away. Deflected, just wide for a corner. Would have been

an own goal. After Byron Webster saved the goal. That is the path of

the match from Kapustka. Okazaki never had it under control but

collision between Cooper and goalkeeper archer set up the chance

and Webster snuffed it out. Good saved by Archer. Leicester really

pressing. The flick header from Okazaki, Archer ready for it. Archer

has to dodge a couple to get there and make the save. All well so far

for Leicester, but they really need to get a goal. We've seen this sort

of game before. Not only in Cup ties, one team on top, but don't get

the goal their pressure and dominance really deserves. Run from

Musa. Another shot fired in towards Jordan Archer's Millwall goal.

Struggling to contain Leicester City the moment. Neil Harris will want

more order at the back from Millwall. A proper Cup tie

atmosphere at the Den. A tie that is building nicely. It's always been

level in terms of the scoreline, of course, but Millwall are getting

forward more and more now. There is another opportunity and another

corner is forced by Onyedinma, who is looking a real threat. Another

well timed run from him. It's saved by Zieler. Leicester will react

angrily to Cooper that. Craig Pawson very calmly pulls players apart.

Zieler, the Leicester goalkeeper, is livid. Pawson looks as though he's

going to his pocket for the first time, and it's Jake Cooper who is

cautioned. It was flicked goalwards by Onyedinma. I think that the first

time of asking Cooper has every right to go for it. I don't think

Zieler had it cleanly and under control at first. Maybe when Cooper

came in, it was a different story. He has seen his team arguably the

strongest sides, after the first half-hour, when they were up against

it. Hit hopefully rather than with any real thought of scoring by Shaun

Williams. In the early part of this season, he did score from 50 yards

against Nottingham Forest in the EFL Cup. A bit different this for Neil

Harris's side. Trying to shut out the team that won the title last

season, as opposed to regular League One opposition.

The free kick, Millwall. You can see why Fred on doing -- Odjidja and

where has been talked about by higher league clubs. -- odds you'd

-- Onyedinma has been talked about by higher league clubs.

That was a thumping challenge. The referee has gone to his pocket. Its

trouble for Millwall and trouble for Jake Cooper. The League One team are

down to ten. Cooper was the player booked in the first half, for

hacking away at Zieler in the Leicester goal. He went in unwisely

there. The referee, Craig Pawson, was always going to his pocket.

Millwall, up against it now. As so often, the crowd is called upon to

be the 12th man for Millwall now. They have to be a 12th, and an 11th.

Up towards Vardy. His first chance to make an impact. Over the head of

Okazaki. Vardy has gone for goal, not far

away from it either. Instant signs that bowler is that bit more of a

goal threat from Leicester City, now he's on the field. The last thing

Sadio Mane area would want is another fixture as a result of a

tie. -- the last thing Claudio Ranieri would want. Okazaki, a great

save by Archer. That's Mendy, with the effort. Leicester kept out by

determined Millwall defending and a fine save from their goalkeeper,

Jordan Archer. It's a lovely ball in from Albrighton. Okazaki tried to be

cute. Archer stayed as big as he could and made the block. It fell

fortunately to Okazaki. Big, big block. Something in the air. This

isn't just going to plead out into a 0-0 draw. -- peter out. That comes

Onyedinma. Just gets it away before Musa could nick it it. Gregory plays

it in for Cummings and Cummings scores! The 90th minute of the

match. It is a deafening den. Millwall are back to take a

hat-trick of Premier League scalps and this time, it's the champions!

Shaun Cummings, the fullback. Went on a run, was found by Gregory. He

held off Chilwell, and he kept his head, to score.

Really well taken. It's a goal that has surely taken ill harassment are

possibly one Millwall into the FA Cup quarterfinals. -- Neil Harris's

We played well in the first half, we played so-so at the beginning of the

second half, until they played their 11 against 11, when they played ten

against 11, they turned up with more desire, more heart. What were you

doing? Full-back, ten men, still in the box at the end to get the goal,

what were you doing? Trying to score! That's what I was doing. I

saw we have the opportunity to run forward and get into the box, and

then, obviously, it opened up for me. Three Premier League scalps now,

doing well in the league as well, we started slowly in the league but

since Christmas, we have gone on a great run, that is testament to all

of the boys. Everyone has chipped in and everyone working hard. When

League 1 eight Premier League, beat the Premier League champions commune

have to say, why? Andrea. -- when League 1 beat Premier League. -- and

react. We are better than Millwall, but Millwall deserved to win. We

have to look at that. STUDIO: The terrific cup run continued, after

seeing off yet another top-flight side, I spoke to the Millwall

manager, Neil Harris. Very well done, through to the quarterfinals,

with your third Premier League scalp. Tremendous effort, went down

to ten men, you fear the worst, I knew that we would battle, I knew

we'd defend for our lives, I didn't think we'd have the quality to

create chances with ten men, against a Premier League side. I said to the

boys, things like that don't just happen, you have to play with spirit

and togetherness. And belief as well. The moment to win the game was

good quality. Fair to say, you've got Millwall in your blood, how does

it feel to lead them to the quarterfinals of the FA Cup? Proud

today, certainly proud, we took inspiration from what Danny and

Nicky did before the game with Lincoln City, really pleased for

them. Albeit, against my old marker, Sean Dyche. For half an hour,

Leicester were excellent, played us off the park, created chances, but

then we got a foothold in the game. -- me ole mucker. Our fans supported

the team, they really were the extra player women needed them. When we

needed to stay in the game, we went down to ten men and they really got

behind us. The expectation put on Leicester, with ten men, was too

much for them. Luthi want in the next round? We want a home tie,

we're not fast. -- who do you want in the next round? Millwall and

Lincoln, that would be great to get ourselves against each other, but we

would like to be at home, nobody will relish coming to the den and

playing us. We wish you all the very best, well done on the win. Sorry

A feeling I am getting used to. As for Millwall, terrific win, a real

sense of belief now. They had to do it the hard way, after Jacob was

given his marching orders. Yes, this is a big decision during the game.

-- after Cooper. He has every right to gather the ball, it has been

spilled from the hands, so I thought that was a little bit harsh, but

when you are on a yellow, a little bit naive from Jake Cooper because

he has gone in with a very strong challenge, he has tried to pull out

last-minute, but you cannot go in for challenges like that when you

are on a yellow, so I thought, yes, sent off. From here, the positivity

of Millwall, they actually improved when they were down

It is the manager, Neil Harris, really good change, bringing on a

centre forward, league Gregory, they want to go and win the game, they

don't want to replay, fixture pile-up, I'm sure that Claudio

Ranieri did not want a replay either, but Gregory, way he brings

down the ball on his chest, it is calm and composed, it is a beautiful

threaded pass, with the right weight into Shaun Cummings. -- Lee Gregory.

He is strong, tucks it away, and Millwall win the game. Really brave,

as I said, they improved, strangely enough, when they went down to ten.

For Leicester City, to buckle form of 2017, lots of chances, just

couldn't register a goal. -- typical form of 2017. Looked the more likely

side to score, but the chances all fell to one man, Shinji Okazaki and

could not finish on the day, did not have his shooting boots on. First

chance, with movement, great movement for a centre forward,

Millwall defence lost, got lucky, lost his feet, could save by Jordan

Archer, outstanding all afternoon. -- good save.

This was the story of the first half, the first 60 minutes, again,

stays on his feet, makes himself big, this last one, great

determination and desire by Shinji Okazaki, good overlapping run, gets

his ball on target, that of a deflection, good reaction save, if

you are looking at a one-on-one battle, he won that battle.

Leicester City players, we all know they can play when they are flying

high, won the league, brilliant. Now they have got to look at each other

and say, can we play under pressure? It is a different skill, playing in

a dogfight. Yes, and Leicester City have been embarrassing, they really

have, from the heights of where they were last season, Premier League

champions, how far they have fallen is absolutely shocking. The manager

is changing the team every other week, yes, they did well, they did

very well in the Champions League, qualified into the knockout stages,

but in terms of fight and desire, they are showing absolutely nothing,

for me. Two cup ties down, three more still to come. COMMENTATOR:

Oxford United reached by comprehensively beating

Championship high-flyers The U's faced North-East

opposition once again today, as they took on Premier League

Middlesbrough. COMMENTATOR: Tyneside conquered,

could Teesside be next, Oxford United target a place in the

quarterfinals of the FA Cup for the first time in 53 years, already

claimed two championship scalps during the competition today, they

face opposition from the top tier of English football, Premier League

survival is a priority, Aitor Karanka believes his side are

capable of continuing the run in the cup, making six changes, including a

second start for January signing, Rudy Gestede, Evans could be key if

Oxford are to win, the striker has scored in every round of the FA Cup

so far. The last time the two clubs met was made, 1998, Middlesbrough

won, 4-1, that sealed promotion back to the Premier League.

The clearance was not the best, Tony Martinez, he has a chance... Saved

by Brad Guzan. But out of play, that was not convincing at all from the

Middlesbrough back line. Shrugged off the ball by Martin is --

Martinez. Lots of success under Michael Appleton particularly in the

cup competitions, they have won eight times against higher league

opposition. Traore, Oxford United doing all of the defending, another

good run from Traore, slides in, Edwards is there, back to Grant

Leadbitter. So close. That was an audacious effort from the captain.

Went for placement, not for power. Over 3000 Oxford United fans making

the 500 mile or so round trip. Chance for Middlesbrough. Fisher

finds Rudy Gestede. Stewart Downing... Penalty. Penalty to

Middlesbrough. Excellent break, Rudy Gestede, to Grant Leadbitter, and

Maguire... Clumsy challenge on Stewart Downing. Can't have too many

complaints about that one. Grant Leadbitter... Steps up, excellent

penalty. Eastward, absolutely no chance with that one. Middlesbrough

ahead. In this fifth round FA Cup tie. -- Eastwood. Grant Leadbitter

recalled to the side, not a lot of playing time this season, just his

ninth appearance. He has his third goal of the season. That is how you

Maguire has gone... It has gone all the way in, I think it took a nicked

A little nudge on... Good spot from Andre Marriner. They have beaten

Remi league opposition in the past, beating Swansea City last season and

also went one goal their own and manage to win 3-2. I think he'd take

that at the moment. Excellent pass to Fabiola. Rudy Gestede is there.

Middlesbrough, and it is a special one. -- Fabio. Did not have much

Oxford United are the competition's top scorers with 14, only conceded

twice during their run to the fifth round. Here comes across, it's

Martinez, and took a nick off one of the Middlesbrough defender is, what

an opportunity that was for Oxford United to get it back to 2-1. --
