-..and enjoy traditional fishing

-on the River Teifi in Cilgerran.

-For the past six weeks,

-I've been fishing around the world.

-We're Mabon and are taking a break

-from our tour to join you on Heno.

-Thanks to Jamie Smith's Mabon.

-We start in Llandudno for the final

-of the World Rally Championships.

-This is one of the biggest

-sporting events in Britain.

-Over 600 million fans will watch

-the drivers fight for the podium.

-Gerallt and our cameras

-are in their midst.

-It's a very rough evening

-in Llandudno...

-..ahead of a weekend

-of competitive driving.

-One of the popular competitors

-is Elfyn Evans from Dinas Mawddwy.

-Earlier,

-I chatted with the man himself.

-The car looks slippery

-but Elfyn is still going.

-This is a time for looking to

-the future whilst reminiscing too.

-The Tour de Corse in Corsica

-was quite an occasion.

-Yes, it was a very special rally.

-I led for a while

-and finished in second...

-..and I hope to have

-similar results in the future.

-Standing on the podium at the end

-is something very special for you.

-Yes, and it isn't easy so

-finishing in second was wonderful.

-How would you describe

-this year's season?

-It hasn't been as we wanted but we

-can build on those positive events.

-It wasn't the season I wanted

-but hoped to finish on the top.

-This is a great event and you must

-be delighted to be back in Wales.

-Yes, it's a very special feeling.

-It's odd as I know the area

-as most rallies are on foreign soil.

-There's wonderful support

-and the stages are excellent.

-It's a big night for Llandudno.

-Yes, it's great for the team

-to be on local soil...

-..but it's also great for the

-economy and the whole area.

-Enjoy the weekend and the rally and

-you've put Dinas Mawddwy on the map!

-This is our sixth album.

-I think this CD will get people

-dancing.

-The band has changed since we first

-formed in 1999.

-Jamie and I are the original

-members.

-Womex was in Cardiff.

-There's more opportunities for

-Celtic music.

-Yes, that's right.

-I think there's more events on the

-folk scene in Wales these days.

-Bands are more confident about

-touring the world.

-Eight contestants were whittled down

-to three in the race for the title.

-One of them is Dan Rogers

-Yesterday, Daf Wyn chatted with him

-before the final.

-The earth's wildest oceans,

-lakes and rivers...

-..are home to some fascinating fish.

-What is The Big Fish, Dan?

-In The Big Fish,

-eight amateur British anglers...

-..have been chosen to go fishing

-in some fantastic countries.

-There's three challenges

-in every country.

-At the end of each week,

-a contestant is eliminated.

-I'm the only traditional fisherman

-who tried out for the programme.

-I suspect people wanted to find

-the ultimate rod and line angler.

-The net's man turned up,

-had some fun...

-..and showed that the traditional

-fishermen can do just as well.

-Our first country was Iceland and

-we went fishing on the sea for cod.

-We used traditional methods in Cuba

-and used inner-tubes of lorries.

-In Costa Rica, we caught bait

-from the beach with a throw net...

-..and use it on a hand line.

-I had to learn fly fishing

-and how to use a spinner.

-We used traditional technique and

-high-tech modes such as echo sound.

-It's totally alien when compared

-to using a coracle and a net.

-I lied through my teeth

-on the application form.

-I told them I could do things and

-thought I'd learn them whilst there.

-I got the call to say there was

-a place on the programme for me.

-I'm hoping for a sailfish.

-I'm hoping for a sailfish.

-Nice and easy, nice and easy.

-I'm petrified that something

-is going to go wrong.

-There it is, there it is.

-Come on, come on, come on!

-Why is fishing so special to you?

-It's the adrenalin rush

-when you catch a fish.

-In the series, I was lucky to catch

-a sailfish in Costa Rica.

-I'm really scared

-that I'm going to lose this fish.

-I learnt a lot about myself.

-The new experiences

-were a big thing!

-After my kids and wife,

-this is one of the greatest moments.

-It's the final on Sunday so

-is the Welshman crowned the winner?
