Snow Business Clangers

There it is - Planet Earth.

It can be the perfect place for the people who live there -

not too hot and not too cold.

But if we were to travel out into space,

we might find it not quite to our liking -

sometimes too hot, and sometimes very cold.

It's a good job the Clangers' planet is here.

Their planet is just right.

Let's go down and visit them, shall we?

There's Mother Clanger. She's come to get some water from the Cloud.

Hmm. But she can't see the Cloud anywhere.

Perhaps the Iron Chicken knows where the Cloud is.

Ah, the Cloud's away, visiting friends.

Oh, yes, yes, Mother had forgotten about that.

There's the Cloud now...

..back from its trip into outer space.

Hmm. It looks a bit blue, and it's shivering.

I hope it's all right.

Mother hopes it's all right, too.

Oh, that's not water, it's...it's snow.

That's new. Mother's never seen snow before.

Mother thinks that Major needs to see this.

More snow, and lots of it.

Interesting. Very interesting.

Major's never seen snow before either.

This stuff needs investigating.

Poor Cloud. It's not all right, is it?

Must have got very cold on its trip into space.

Very cold, if it's making snow.

Here's Small and Baby Soup Dragon.

And, of course, Small has never seen snow either.

Nor has Baby Soup Dragon.

Oh, whatever this stuff is, it's cold.

And it's fun, too. THEY LAUGH

Major's rather confused by this.

Where's the snow stuff gone?

All there is is water.

He doesn't know that snow melts into water when it gets warm,

and Major's workshop is a very warm place.

Has Tiny seen Major's snow stuff?

Tiny is intrigued.

She wants to see this stuff for herself.

Small and Baby Soup Dragon are certainly enjoying themselves.

And so are the Froglets -

they're hopping all over the stuff.

That's right, Tiny, the Cloud doesn't look happy.

The Cloud's cold.

Tiny's thought of something.

Small says he's sorry, he didn't notice that the Cloud was unhappy.

Oh, I wonder what Tiny has in mind.

That flat snow has now turned to ice.

And it's slippery. Very slippery!

Oh, I see - Tiny wants to know

if the Cloud can warm up in the Soup Dragon's soup well.

What a good idea.

Major seems to have forgotten about investigating the snow stuff.

He's found something much better to do instead - skating.

I don't think Mother Clanger looks very keen about learning to skate.

Easy does it!

Oh, yes, the Cloud look much better now, now it's warmed up.

What a kind Soup Dragon she is.

Oh, very good. Look at them go!

What style. What grace.

THEY CHEER

Up comes the Cloud.

Mother wants to know if the Cloud is all OK now.

And, yes, it is. It's back to normal, thank goodness.

Look - it's making raindrops again.

Hold on - Mother needs those precious drops.

Now it's time for everyone to warm up with some lovely soup.

There, the Clangers' planet -

the perfect place to warm up if you're too cold.

And the perfect place for a hug if you want to say thank you.
