Welcome to Copycats.
Today's Copycats are Morvyn's team from Cheshire,
and Ella's team from East London.
And here are your hosts, Sam and Mark.
-Welcome to Copycats,
the game show where copying is good.
Yeah, our teams are going to be facing some classic rounds today,
as well as the one and only Copycats Challenge.
And they will have to beat the Ball Room if they want to get
their hands on our super-slick Copycats Trophy.
It is looking lovely.
-I reckon we should meet the teams.
-Let's do it.
-You are team captain on this side.
-How are you?
-I'm really good, thank you. How are you?
-Very well, thank you.
Would you like to introduce the rest of your team?
Well, this is my friend, Elizabeth.
My friend Lauren, my dad, John, and my tutors, Rob and Emma.
Excellent stuff, it's lovely to have you all here.
How are you feeling? Are you excited?
-Absolutely, raring to go.
Excellent! Look forward to seeing how you get on.
Give it up for Morvyn's team, everybody!
Over here, we've got Ella's team. Ella, team captain.
Would you like to introduce the rest of the team for us?
This is Elizabeth, one of my really good friends.
This is Anjali, another one of my good friends.
This is Georgia, a really good family friend.
Hannah, also a very good family friend.
And Seeta, who is Anjali's mum.
Ella, you've got so many friends, it's lovely!
I feel as though you're a bit tense. Come on,
let's get a loosey goosey going, come on.
Come on. Yeah, yeah, brilliant, love it.
Give it up one more time for Ella's team, everyone.
So, let's get on with the show.
It's not called Copycats for nothing, you know.
Each round gets our teams displaying their artistic, dramatic
and musical talents, as they try and pass the answer down the line.
But not only that, they will also face the one,
the only, Copycats challenge.
Before the show, we tossed a coin to decide which team is going first,
and Ella's team won it, so let's play Copycats.
OK, Ella's team, it's time to put your drawing skills to the test
because we are about to play Quick On The Draw.
Hannah, I've got three cards in my hand.
You'll pick one of these cards.
You'll then have ten seconds to draw whatever is on that card
for the player next to you, and so on and so on down the line.
There is a maximum of 50 points up for grabs in this round,
whereas if we pass it back down the line,
you will lose ten points for every incorrect answer.
-Do you all understand?
-Fantastic. Copycats, are you ready?
Let's close the doors.
Lovely, Hannah. Oh, she's already in there.
Pink, she's going for pink.
OK. Can you draw that, do you reckon?
-Uh-huh, yeah, I'll try.
-All right, the best of luck.
Ready, steady, draw, off you go.
Copy that, Georgia, copy it.
OK, not bad.
OK, Seeta, your turn.
Only ten seconds, not a long time.
OK, Ella, your turn.
OK, stop drawing.
Right, I've got to say,
I'm pretty impressed with the copying down the line.
But, Anjali, we're looking for 50 points.
What's the answer?
Is it a bicycle?
It's a bicycle!
Georgia, your face was a picture when that was being drawn.
-I didn't have a clue what it was.
-Did you not?
I just tried to copy as best as I could, but I didn't know.
Well, you didn't do a bad job. Ella's team get the full 50 points.
All right, Lauren, we've got two cards remaining. Blue or green?
Can I have blue, please?
Take a look. Of course you can.
-Can you draw that?
I'll have a go!
That's what we like. We like a trier on Copycats. You've got ten seconds.
Ready, steady, draw.
Very good. John, your turn.
Robert, your turn.
Time is up. All right.
You're playing for the maximum of 50 points.
Team captain, Morvyn, what do you reckon the answer is?
Is it a shooting star?
-Nice work, guys.
That was really good.
Morvyn, excellent choice, putting Lauren in the first booth
because she was great, there, at drawing that.
Great start to the show. You get yourselves the full 50 points.
So, after Quick On The Draw,
can anything put the brakes on Ella's team?
Or are Morvyn's team reaching for the stars?
Let's take a look at the scores. Mr D, what could they be?
Well, Sam, after Quick On The Draw, it's all even.
Morvyn's team have 50 points, and Ella's team also have 50 points.
Well, we have seen how our teams got on in the cubicles,
but how will they fare playing the Copycats Challenge?
I just don't know. And because Ella's team won the toss,
they are first to face the challenge.
So, Morvyn's team. We don't want you to take
a sneaky peek of what's going on. We want to keep it a surprise.
-We like surprises.
We're going to send you off. We'll see you later.
Byesy-bye, I didn't get you.
Now, Ella, as team captain, you now need to select four people
for the spectacular Copycats Challenge,
but before you take your pick, let's find out
what the challenge actually is.
Mr D, what could it be?
Players must move blocks between towers to copy the pattern
shown on screen.
But they can only pass one block at a time.
30 points are scored for each correctly copied pattern.
And here it is, The Equaliser.
OK, team captain, Ella, you've picked yourself,
Elizabeth, Georgia and Hannah to play.
-Are you ready?
You look ready. OK, the best of luck.
Three, two, one, go!
I love this game. Here we go, Ella's team it is.
And remember, you can pass just one block at a time, as Mark says.
They've got the same number of blocks to start with,
but they then have to match the patterns they see on the screen.
The faster you go, the more patterns you will see.
That's it. Plenty of help from the sidelines. Is that working?
Yes, it does, brilliant.
Let's try another, shall we?
Different pattern altogether.
They're getting there.
Talking to each other as they go.
They've got to stay...
Here we are.
Is that it? Stand clear.
Yes, it is.
I'd hurry up cos that's going to fall.
They've got two.
Probably will fall, he's right.
This is good, guys.
Yeah, they are doing well so far.
How much time have we got left?
Well, 35 seconds. It's not long.
You need six, six.
Three more. Three more. Three more.
One more, one more.
That's it. Move that one across. Does that work?
Yes, it does. Just under 20 seconds. Have another go, come on.
-You never know.
-Remember, one at a time, one at a time.
Ten seconds left.
-OK, you've not got long.
Hands up, hands up.
Will this work? Yes, brilliant.
Come on, guys, come over.
Oh, you got there just in time, well done. OK, fantastic.
We will add those points from the challenge
to your total after the third round.
Remember, Morvyn's team still have to play,
and the scores from the Copycats Challenge
can make all the difference in deciding which team
goes to the Ball Room.
One more time, let's hear it for Ella's team. Well done.
Welcome to Mime Time, guys.
Rob, I've got three cards. You're going to pick one.
You will then have ten seconds to mime whatever is on that card
to the player next to you, which is team captain, Morvyn.
And so on and so on, down the line, just like before.
As always, there is 50 points up for grabs in this round,
but you will lose 10 of those points for every incorrect answer
coming back down the line.
-You're going to get the full 50, aren't you?
-Of course we are.
-Awesome. Copycats, are you ready?
Awesome. In that case, let's close the doors.
Right, here we go, Rob.
-Pink, green or blue?
-Oh, I think we'll go for the blue.
-Blue, take a look.
-Reckon you can mime that?
Best of luck. I like the confidence.
You've got ten seconds.
Ready, steady, mime.
Morvyn, your turn.
Emma, your turn.
OK, Elizabeth, your turn.
Time's up, stop miming. Very good.
Really good copying down the line. I've got a good feeling about this.
John, for 50 points, what's the answer we're looking for?
Is it playing the drums?
Guys... Oh, look at this, we are having a little team hug, I like it.
Well done, guys. You are playing this game very, very well.
At the end of Mime Time,
you get yourselves the full, again, 50 points.
OK, Hannah. The best of luck. We've got pink or green.
-Which one would you like?
-OK, have a look at that.
-Do you reckon you could do that?
Fantastic. The best of luck, Hannah.
Ready, steady, mime. Off you go.
OK, stop miming.
The longest ten seconds ever for you guys.
OK, the best of luck.
For a maximum of 50 points,
Ella, what's the answer we are looking for?
It is not a monkey. Let's open the door.
For 40 points, what's the answer?
Is it a Mexican wave?
Yes! Well done.
Ella, I could see where you were going.
I really, really could.
It was brilliant all the way down, but we got to five seconds...
Everybody was going, "Have we still got to do this?
"Still got to do it." Anyway, you did brilliantly.
Ella's team get 40 points, well done. Well done.
So, after Mime Time, will Morvyn's team keep the beat going,
or can Ella's team Mexi-GO all the way to the Ball Room?
-Sorry about that.
-Don't apologise. Don't ever apologise.
It's time to find out the scores. Mr D, what could they be?
Sorry, Mr D.
No need to apologise, Mark.
After Mime Time, Morvyn's team have 100 points
and Ella's team have 90 points.
We saw Ella's team face the wrath
of the Copycats Challenge earlier on,
but now it's Morvyn's team to have a go.
So, Morvyn's team, this could be your chance to add some
last-minute crucial points to your overall score.
-Are you ready for it? ALL:
-You look ready. They look ready.
I've seen his face, he's ready.
And Ella's team, it's now time for you to head out. Go on, off you go.
Have a little lie-down.
Don't go too far, we need you back soon.
Right, Morvyn, as team captain,
you have to select four superstar performers
to take on this Copycats Challenge.
But before you do that, you need to see what's in store for you.
So let's take a look. Mr D, what could it be?
As before, players must move blocks one at a time between the towers
to copy the pattern shown on screen.
30 points are scored for each correctly copied pattern. Good luck.
So, Morvyn, you've chosen yourself, John, Emma and Lauren to play this.
-Are you feeling good?
-You guys feeling good about this?
-Oh, yes, yes.
-Awesome. The best of luck.
In three, two, one, go.
Morvyn's team now try their hand, or hands, at The Equaliser.
Studying the pattern they can see on the floor.
We can see it on the wall behind them.
Oh, no, no, careful.
They are only supposed to handle one at a time, remember.
And don't put your hands up too early.
You have to talk to each other. Try that.
Let's try another one.
Robert and Elizabeth providing a useful service.
They can see the situation more clearly
cos of the height of those towers - look!
-Pile it up, pile it up to Emma.
-Give one to Emma...
Very clear instructions.
And it's worked, look. Brilliant.
That's two completed.
That's it, guys, speak to each other. It helps.
Wise words from Sam there.
-I need one more.
-Lauren needs one more.
There's a bit of confusion. Careful. One at a time, remember.
Backwards, forwards. Does that work?
Yes, it does, brilliant.
Try and get another, you've got 20 seconds.
Quickly as you can. You might get one more in here, 15 seconds left.
Come on, come on, come on.
Come on, try get this last one.
You never know. Always worth a try.
Oh, try it anyway.
Yes! It worked.
OK, last one, come on.
-Time is running out...
Time's up, time's up.
Round of applause.
Well done, team.
Come on over.
We will add those challenge points to your total
after our third and final round
and find out which of our teams have earned their place
in the Copycats Ball Room.
Let's hear it for Morvyn's team, everyone.
Welcome back, Ella's team.
This is the Music Round.
Now, Georgia, all you have to do is pick a well-known tune
and then recreate that tune on the world-famous Copycats kazoo.
Have a look at the Copycats kazoo, everyone! Yay!
Fantastic. And the tune gets copied all the way down the line.
50 points up for grabs in this round, but as always,
you will lose 10 points for every incorrect answer.
-Yes! You look so nervous.
OK, could everybody, except for Georgia,
now please put their headphones on?
Our Copycats look ready, so let's close the doors.
Right, Georgia. What are you going to go for? Blue, green or pink?
-Do you not know the song?
It's OK, cos we'll play it in the studio.
-OK, cool, yeah.
-Let's have a listen.
MUSIC: Super Trouper by ABBA
# ..lights are gonna find me
# Shining like the sun... #
In your head.
# Smiling, having... #
Best of luck, Georgia. Ready, steady, play.
Off you go.
SHE MIMICS SONG
Well done. Hannah, off you go.
OK. Stop playing.
-I've got to say, that was great.
For a maximum of 50 points, Seeta,
any idea the answer we are looking for?
Random guess - Taylor Swift, Blank Space.
It is not Taylor Swift, Blank Space.
Let's move on. For 40 points, Anjali?
Any idea what Elizabeth was trying to play there?
Shake It Off?
It is not Taylor Swift, again.
Big Taylor Swift fans over here. Shake It Off. OK.
Let's move on. 30 points.
Ella did a great version of this, 30 points, come on.
I Really Don't Care?
You've got to care...
-Oh, no! Is that your answer?
It isn't I Really Don't Care. Let's open the doors.
Look at Georgia's face!
MUSIC: Super Trouper by ABBA
That's it, yes.
# Ooh, ah, ah! #
Brilliant. I'm so surprised,
because nobody usually gets any points in the Music Round,
but you get yourselves 20 points.
Round of applause, well done.
Without giving anything away, Morvyn,
it's a very, very close show today,
so this could make all the difference.
The best of luck. We've got two cards left.
Blue or pink.
-Take a look.
-Do you know that song?
We are going to play it to the studio as well,
so you can familiarise yourself with it.
Let's take a listen.
MUSIC: Titanium by David Guetta featuring Sia
# You shoot me down But I won't fall
# I am titanium
# You shoot me down
# But I won't fall
# I am titanium... #
-OK, I can see you know it.
-You were singing along.
Best of luck, you've got ten seconds.
Ready, steady, play.
SHE MIMICS SONG
HE PLAYS BADLY
Not bad, not bad. Lauren, your turn.
OK, Elizabeth, your turn.
Time is up. Stop playing.
Oh, this is going to be difficult.
Any idea, for the maximum of 50 points?
Emma, what do you reckon?
It's not, unfortunately.
Which means we are playing for 40 points.
Elizabeth, what do you reckon it sounded like?
Was it Sorry, by Justin Bieber?
It wasn't Sorry by Justin Bieber.
Which means we are playing for 30 points.
Rob, any idea? It's a difficult one.
Gypsy by Lady Gaga?
Which means we are playing for 20 points.
What do you reckon, Lauren?
Is it, Love Yourself by Justin Bieber?
Oh! It's not. It's not.
Which means we're playing for the minimum of ten points,
and I have to say, Morvyn did an absolutely fantastic job.
John, we're looking for the name of the song. Any idea?
I'm going to go with, Running by Beyonce.
-It wasn't. Morvyn, do you want to tell everybody?
-Let's hear it.
-I did a pretty good job.
-You did a great job, Morvyn.
You didn't just do a pretty good job,
-you did a fantastic job, Morvyn.
Just the rest of your team let you down.
I'm only kidding, I'm only kidding.
Listen, it's a very, very tough round,
but unfortunately, you don't get any points.
But give them a round of applause anyway.
Especially Morvyn - she did a fantastic job there.
So, after three rounds, it's really close.
Morvyn's team have 100 points
and Ella's team have 110 points.
Both teams have performed well in the cubicles,
and it's very, very close.
But it's time to reveal who bossed the Copycats Challenge
and who's waltzing their way to the Ball Room.
In today's challenge, one team scored...
And one team...also scored 120 points.
Told you it was close.
We've added those scores to each team's total.
The team going through to the Copycats Ball Room,
and playing for the trophy, is...
Which means, sadly, we have to say goodbye to Morvyn's team.
You've been absolutely lovely to have on the show.
And do you know what? You've been fantastic at playing Copycats.
Just pipped at the last minute. Have you enjoyed yourselves?
-Good. You've been great.
Please give a massive round of applause to Morvyn's team.
See you later, guys. Thanks ever so much.
Well done, Ella's team.
-Are you happy?
-Are you ready for one more challenge?
In that case, it's time to play the Ball Room.
Team, you must be delighted to have made it this far.
Good going. It's been a fantastic show.
Really close all the way through.
But you have still got the big cylindrical windy thing
to tackle before you can take home the Copycats trophy.
Oh, yes. It is time to enter the Ball Room!
OK, Ella, who have you chosen to play?
-Elizabeth, me and Georgia.
-OK. The best of luck.
Before we open the doors and let you in,
let's take a look at how you win.
The Ball Room.
Players must collect 20 blue balls
and deposit them in the scoring cylinder
before the time runs out.
Any other coloured balls collected will be deducted from the total.
-OK, team, are you ready?
Beautiful. The best of luck. In three, two, one...
BOTH: Blast the balls!
Off we go, then, with our final game of the show, the Ball Room.
Left to right, it's Georgia, a family friend,
Elizabeth, a friend of Ella, and Ella herself, the team captain.
Come on, guys, quickly as you can.
There's one from Ella.
And another from Ella. Oh, they are mounting up already. Brilliant.
And there's an orange ball stuck in Georgia's hair, look.
They need more blue ones, please. 20 in total is what we're after.
We are just over 20 seconds to go. There's another one going in.
There's quite a few in there,
but we need more, we need more. Come on.
Another one going in from Ella.
Ah, it's been dislodged. That orange ball.
A distraction, that was. Just a few seconds left, come on.
Quickly as you can. Blue ones, come on, come on.
-Time is running out, girls...
And one right on the klaxon, well done.
Georgia, at one point, you had a ball stuck in your hair.
-They were everywhere.
-It wasn't a blue one.
It wasn't a blue one.
Right, the balls have been counted
and the result has been checked and verified.
You needed 20 blue balls to win this beautiful trophy.
I can reveal that you collected...
-..15 blue balls.
So unfortunately that does mean
we have to lock this away in the safe...
-Sorry, you can't get your hands on that.
But guys, I know you are going to be ecstatic about this.
-We won't send you home empty-handed.
We are going to give you some Copycats T-shirts!
-Look at Ella's face.
-Look at it.
-She loves it.
-Look at how happy you are.
-Have you enjoyed playing?
-Yeah, loved it.
Wonderful team, thank you very much.
Give it up one more time for Ella's team.
-Oh, shame they didn't win.
-I'm going to take this home.
You can't, mate, we need to save it for next time. We'll see you, then.
Sam and Mark present as two families battle it out in a range of hilarious games.
Morvyn's team from Cheshire go up against Ella's team from east London. They battle it out for a chance to get to the Ball Room and play for the ultimate money-can't-buy prize - the super, shiny, springy Copycats trophy!
