Old Mother Hubbard went to the cupboard to fetch her doggy a bone.

Oh, it's Old Mother Hubbard!

Shall we squiggle her?

What sort of line could we use?

Let's have a look.

It's a straight line.

Now it's time to get squiggling.

let's start with the top of Old Mother Hubbard's glasses.

We'll need a straight line for those. I love straight lines.

What's yours like?

Now we need two curved lines for the bottom of the glasses.

A round line to make her face.

Round...

and round.

Two curved lines for her hair.

And another curved line for the bun on top of her head.

Then two eyes.

One, two.

A nose...

and a smiley mouth.

She needs two ears.

One, two.

Now for her body.

Cure down, straight across

and curve up.

Two arms...

..with wiggly fingers.

One...

..two.

Two feet.

One...

..two.

And last of all, an apron.

And there's our Mother Hubbard.

Shall we meet her?

Hello, Old Mother Hubbard. I'm Squiglet.

How are you today?

I'll be fine, Squiglet dear, as soon as I've fed Twinkle, my dog.

He is lovely, but when he's hungry he howls.

I need to get home in a flish-flash to get him something to eat

from my cupboard.

Let's start with the outside of the cupboard.

We'll need some more straight lines for that.

Now a straight line going down the middle.

Next we need some more straight lines to make two doors.

Two round door knobs,

one,

two.

And last of all, a wavy line

to make a pretty shape on top.

Finished. One cupboard.

When she got there the cupboard was bare,

so the poor doggy had none.
