-What do you know?
# I know there's a lot I don't know
# I like questions that lead to questions
# Ask away, let's see where we go
# OK! What is work? What is play?
# Why do walls get in the way?
# Where is love? What's a friend? Will my questions never end?
# What is fear? Why do we laugh?

Yes, what's the big idea?
-Hi, Lily. Hello, Felix.
What is a grown-up?
-I think your mum is a grown-up, Hugo.
-And your dad.
-And your uncle.
-And your aunt.
-And your doctor.
-And your teacher.
-And your sister too.
She is not a grown-up.
SHE BLOWS RASPBERRY
So, grown-ups are a lot, lot, lot, lot, lot older than me.
But they're still looking good.
Blah blah blah, I'm a big, boring grown-up, blah blah blah.
But you're a lot, lot, lot older than your baby sister, Hugo.
So, when does someone become a grown-up?
Grown-ups are big, so maybe it's when you grow bigger.
Tall ones go to the back row, please.
But he's bigger than all of them and he's not grown-up at all.
People grow up at different speeds. So, I don't think it's about size.
I think he's grown up because he doesn't play any more.
But my dad's a grown-up and he loves to play with me.
Catch, Hugo! Huh-ho!
I think she's grown-up because she has a job.
But my mum is a grown-up and she stays at home to look after us.
Blah blah blah blah, he he he...
And that is a job!
I think we're grown-up when we leave home.
And we find a place of our own.
Hugo, will you please come home?!
Or maybe it's the things we do.
# Grown-ups can be taller But grown-ups are not just tall
# Grown-ups can be older But that's not it at all
# Grown-ups have to go to work There's lots that work forbids
# Grown-ups act like grown-ups But they sometimes act like kids. #
Erm, can I have my ball back?
Argh! It's so confusing!
Hugo, come home, it's time for your bath.
But do we all become a grown-up in the end?
-We all get older.
-We all leave school.
-We all leave home.
-We all find work.
-Or have families of our own.
-Or look after others.
We all have to look out for people who haven't grown up yet.
Do I have to grow up, even if I don't want to?
What do you think?
