-I think that when

-I was a journalist...

-..I would go to the Middle East

-for these kinds of stories...

-..but these stories

-are now closer to home.

-It makes one wonder

-what will happen next?!

-I think that soldiers will have to

-be sent to Syria.

-One of the big changes are the

-developments of these stories...

-..through social media.

-A lot of stories develop

-via the Internet.

-Everything is going global

-these days...

-..as a result of social media.

-We can see so many pictures

-I think it's only a matter of time

-before it happens in the UK.

-Why is the hall so important?

-We've been coming here

-since we were children.

-It was a cinema.

-There's also been a lot of concerts.

-It's a great place for gigs.

-Many bands have started out

-in this venue...

-..such as Candelas.

-It's very important

-for the local area.

-We've had a blues and jazz night.

-There's also been gigs

-for the young people.

-Osian from Candelas

-has performed here many times.

-I've performed here many times.

-It's a brilliant place.

-Candelas started here and this has

-helped with our success.

-We won an award

-at the National Eisteddfod too.

-We won awards at the

-Y Selar awards too.

-I have to combine the rock n roll

-music with my other career.

-Candelas performed here last month.

-It's an important place

-for Candelas...

-..and we're back here in January.

-It's a professional autobiography.

-I've been reading about your stories

-and travels.

-There's been a lot of stories

-that I couldn't write about.

-It didn't start as an autobiography.

-It's a mixture of all sorts

-of things.

-I hope people find it interesting.

-I've visited many places.

-As a young man,

-you tend to be more adventurous.

-You also don't see the risk.

-I chose to go to

-these dangerous places.

-Which are the most important stories

-for you?

-There's been a lot of highlights.

-I've written about my time

-when I spoke to Gadaffi.

-He doesn't look very happy

-in the photograph.

-He was less happy as the interview

-continued.

-I've also been to Ethiopia.

-I spoke to a child in 1985...

-..and returned and found him in the

-1990s.

-It was an honour to see them.

-It must have been worrying

-for your family.

-I don't know how my family coped

-with me being away.

-It meant I wasn't home a lot.

-I've never asked my family

-if they missed me!

-Gwilym Owen has said that any

-prospective journalist...

-..should read this book.

-That's a real compliment.

-It isn't a manual for journalist.

-I just hope it helps.

-I've never kept a diary.

-I regret not keeping one.

-I wanted this to be a collection

-of ideas and memories.

-That's what it is.

-I'm not an author.

-It wasn't easy to write at all.

-I was surprised to be appointed.

-I have to do an array of roles.

-I have to ensure that the buildings

-are in a good condition...

-..and attract volunteers

-to the island.

-I've visited the island since I was

-eight years old.

-My predecessor did

-some wonderful work...

-..so I only want to do some tweaks.

-How many people live on the island?

-There's seven other people living

-on the island...

-..including my boyfriend.

-I was looking after the farm

-a few years ago...

-..and that's how I met my boyfriend.

-It's been running for many years.

-We've had eight films this year.

-and two in Welsh.

-How did you become involved

-in the project?

-I remember hearing of an event

-in Treorchy.

-It was a training day.

-I was told about It's My Shout.

-We made a pilot video.

-There was a screen test and some

-acting on the screen.

-I got a role in the film.

-Have you seen the film?

-I haven't seen the film yet.

-I missed the premiere because I was

-trying to find my seat.

-I was singing to open the premiere.

-She did so well.

-I was so honoured to introduce her.

-Let's enjoy the S4C premiere

-That was the television premiere

-of Pwyll.

-How do you feel

-after seeing the film, Rachel?

-I'm really happy with that.

-No, I've only ridden once before.

-I was nine when I first went

-and the landscape is very diverse.

-Yes, because there aren't any trees

-or waterfalls in this part.

-One part has beautiful countryside

-and the other is bare mountains.

-I think there's still

-two miles to go.

-I learnt how to tie flies

-many years ago but do you tie them?

-Yes, but in a vice.

-It's important

-when making a fly by hand...

-..that everything

-is secure on the hook.

-I've got a feather from a chicken...

-..because it sinks better in water

-than the feather of a cockerel.

-The head is always important.

-Put that on the line

-and I'm sure you'll catch a trout.

-It's quiet now.

-Do you prefer fishing

-in a river or a lake?

-I started on rivers but I only fish

-in lakes as the rivers are hopeless.

-We're sheltered by the bank.

-the still water is quite boring.

-I've had two nips

-but they haven't caught properly.

-Are there a lot of small fish here?

-Yes, I think there's a few

-on the edges of the lake.

-There might be too many fish

-and not enough food for them.

-Yes, and they'll stay small

-if that's the case!

-We're talking about food

-and I'm getting hungry myself.

-I think that's what we'll do.

-We'll finish this and then

-get back on the horses and go home.
