-As I've mentioned, Christmas will

-officially be over tomorrow night...

-..but, don't be sad, there is still

-some life left in those decorations.

-We had the old and the new.

-All of them are professional

-singers.

-It was great to chatting with them.

-They perform across Britain.

-We didn't have time to change...

-..so only got to wear one dress!

-We didn't have time to argue about

-the dressing room.

-Radio Cymru has been celebrating 40

-years.

-I was laughing with you on Radio

-Cymru this morning.

-It's 40 years of Radio Cymru.

-It's great to go back to 1977.

-I was in Class One at Lampeter

-School.

-It was great to chat with the

-presenters from that time...

-..and the viewers shared their

-memories too.

-You have fun on the radio.

-I often forget

-that I have the listeners.

-We always tell them to contact us.

-The audience are so important to me.

-The concerts are a great therapy.

-Keeping fit is one

-of the most popular ones.

-A group of women from Tregaron...

-..have reached for their trainers

-before anyone else.

-Forget about Alfie's Angels,

-these are Arwel's Angels!

-For a few months, Arwel Jones, a

-fitness instructor from Tregaron...

-..has been training a group of women

-to run the Cors Caron 10K Race.

-They get together to train

-at least once a week...

-..either here at the leisure centre

-or on the streets of Tregaron.

-They are known as Arwel's Angels.

-Arwel was inspired

-to start the group...

-..by the former international

-rugby player, Gareth Thomas.

-After watching Alfie's Angels

-from Cardiff...

-..we wanted to do something similar

-in Tregaron for local causes.

-We got a group together

-and they are Arwel's Angels.

-Everybody has a dream,

-a wish and a goal.

-With a lot of people,

-that goal is to be fit and healthy.

-These women had that dream,

-that wish and that goal.

-They were inspired enough

-to get up and do something about it.

-They are now inspiring other people

-to do the same.

-I remember watching Alfie's Angels

-on the TV and it was a good series.

-I thought it was a great idea

-for Tregaron.

-It also brings everyone together.

-22 of us meet once a week

-to run as a group.

-We also have some sessions

-at the leisure centre.

-They also do a buggy-fit session on

-a Monday.

-A group of new mothers bring our

-babies for some circuit training.

-How do you get on?

-It's great and motivates you

-to keep fit and go out to run.

-Some of them have run half marathons

-but others have done nothing.

-Our target is for everyone to finish

-the 5K and 10K without stopping.

-It is for them to fulfil

-a personal challenge.

-The idea behind Arwel's Angels...

-..is that anyone, whatever their

-ability, can achieve it.

-Some at the front have obviously

-done a lot of running before...

-..but those at the back

-are complete novices.

-It's great to get everyone

-out together.

-We meet every Sunday morning and

-it's a good reason to get up!

-It's an excuse to do some exercise.

-You also have some fun.

-You also have some fun.

-Yes, we have become good friends.

-I've always been active and played

-sport but never one for running.

-This opportunity

-provided the motivation.

-I'm so glad I started!

-Everyone is improving

-and we all help each other.

-People are developing

-as the weeks go by.

-My body shape has changed!

-No-one judges anyone

-for being at the back walking.

-We all try to encourage each other.

-Looking beyond the Cors Caron Race

-in a couple of weeks...

-..what is the long-term aim?

-We hope they become

-hooked on a sport...

-..and continue to use the

-leisure centre after Arwel's Angles.

-Some of them might go on

-to run a half marathon.

-At least they tell me

-they're enjoying it!

-They walked 20 miles from Talysarn

-to Aberystwyth on New Year's Day...

-It's all about taking things down

-..on Christmas Day or Boxing Day.

-Some people keep them up

-until the start of February...

-..to celebrate Epiphany.

-It's important to be organized.

-I like to use a see-through box.

-Buy a cardboard tray

-that holds apples.

-You can put in many layers.

-It means you can store your baubles

-safely.

-These plastic baubles

-are not going to break.

-I always use a black bin liner.

-It means I cant find anything!

-You can put the small items

-on the top...

-..such as the labels.

-You can lose a lot of things.

-They can be used each year.

-What's in here?

-This box is even bigger.

-It's got some posh items!

-These items are neat in the box.

-You can see through the box again.

-Place the lid on the top.

-All of these go

-into the plastic box.

-Fill the box

-with all your decorations.

-There's the holly and ivy too.

-A lot of these boxes

-are on sale at the moment.

-You can store all the smaller items

-in the compartments.

-What about the lights?

-The lights can be problematic.

-and electricity smart meters.

-There is no extra cost and we

-can see how much energy we use...

-Today, we launch a song by a choir

-made up of the energy providers.

-It celebrates the fact that everyone

-will be offered a smart meter.

-..to help us with this song.

-He then recruited people from the

-energy providers to form the choir.

-We started with a workshop with

-some members of Only Boys Aloud.

-We ran the workshop at the iconic

-Rockfield Studios in Monmouth.

-It's where Bohemian Rhapsody,

-Coldplay's Yellow...

-..and Oasis' Wonderwall

-were recorded.

-The song is called Changes.

-It's positive, uplifting

-and people have enjoyed singing it.

-I hope people at home enjoy it too.

-at every rehearsal.

-By the end of the project...

-..people were singing with

-confidence and full of fun.

-I really enjoyed doing it.

-He died from pancreatic cancer.
