-I want to hear everything about it.

-What was it like being on stage

-in front of thousands of people?

-It was great.

-We didn't see what was happening

-There were a lot of people

-They were also having make-up.

-We had our own dressing room.

-We met a lot of famous people.

-I loved meeting Mary Berry.

-Did you know that she had won

-the award?

-No, we didn't know.

-I went down the steps to meet Mary

-Berry.

-She was very nice to you.

-I can't imagine how you must have

-felt.

-I was on the side of the stage.

-They walked down the red carpet.

-Dermot made them feel very at home.

-You also met Tom Jones.

-I ran towards Tom Jones and gave him

-a hug.

-He was happy enough to have a cwtch.

-He liked meeting us because we were

-from Wales.

-Did you go to the party?

-We were going to go home, but Dermot

-invited us to his party.

-Tell us about Gogglesprogs.

-We watch television and give our

-opinion on it.

-I love doing it.

-It was incredible for them.

-They only approached us about ten

-weeks ago.

-It was such a big thing.

-I didn't have time to think about it

-last night.

-This morning, a brand-new centre

-opened for mental health patients.

-Gellinudd is a labour of love

-by the Hafal charity.

-Rhodri Davies dropped in to find out

-what makes Gellinudd so special.

-This place offers hope,

-a new, pioneering service...

-..and something that's

-completely new to Wales.

-I loved my husband dearly.

-There is love and care

-within these walls.

-I'm proud of the work Hafal

-has carried out over the years.

-I'm very proud to be part of

-this new development centre.

-A million-pound investment with

-16 bedrooms and 50 staff members.

-Those are the facts, but these facts

-don't give any justice to Gellinudd.

-It's purpose is to make patients

-feel like guests.

-I'm work as an assistant which

-means I listen to the guests...

-..and I'm always available

-to help them get better...

-..to show them there's hope

-and light at the end of the tunnel.

-My husband, Gwyn

-suffered from schizophrenia.

-About 25 years ago,

-he started to feel ill.

-He underwent treatment

-that was unsuccessful.

-And he committed suicide in 1994.

-I imagine that sitting here now is

-quite an extraordinary experience.

-Yes, it's quite strange.

-I recall sitting in rooms

-with Gwyn at mental hospitals.

-Rooms that were uncomfortable,

-and incredibly cold.

-It's homely here and so much

-thought has gone into everything.

-Mental health sufferers have

-had a chance to express opinions.

-They've chosen the chairs,

-colour scheme and everything.

-But more than that,

-the staff are understanding.

-Having graduated at Sandhurst,

-Tina spent a decade in the Army...

-..before suffering from

-a mental illness herself.

-I've got my own experience

-of a serious mental illness.

-I've come out the other side

-and recovered.

-I'm now successful in life again.

-It's important for guests who stay

-here, know that this is possible.

-One of things you lose

-when you're unwell is hope.

-When I discovered this place

-was opening, I thought fantastic.

-They wanted somewhere that

-looked after their health...

-..but also somewhere that was modern

-and looked towards the future.

-This Scandinavian gadget

-costs thousands of pounds.

-It enables you to be

-on the beach one minute...

-..and then enjoy

-a view from a window.

-It's like an iPad but on the wall,

-and it's a TV set and plays games.

-It can look like a roaring fireplace

-and similar things...

-..which helps individuals get

-the very best care and treatment.

-Elizabeth Jones has treatment at the

-former hospital when she was five.

-The hospital specialized in

-Scarlet Fever and Diphtheria.

-And a few members of

-her family worked here.

-We need places like this

-and it has been here since 1904.

-I was delighted to hear it had been

-bought and the hospital was staying.

-There's a real feeling

-of care and recovery here.

-Elizabeth said it felt homely

-and everyone knew each other.

-It's important that we recognize

-the person and not the condition.

-Hopefully at Gellinudd...

-..we'll see personas that are

-be part of our society again.

-Having experience the enthusiasm

-and passion here today...

-..there was only

-one thing left to say.

-West Wales school earlier today.

-And our cameras have been

-back and forth there.

-And the reason for this?

-Well, they've just won

-an award from UNICEF.

-And if that wasn't enough, they also

-won our Christmas Carol competition!

-Llinos reports more on

-I've got huge respect for teachers.

-How do they grab the attention

-of 30 noisy children?

-Ysgol Llwynderw in Swansea has

-a unique way of keeping them quiet.

-CLAPPING

-I've been the headmistress here

-for four years.

-As a newly-appointed

-headmistress...

-..it was a chance to look at

-the school's ethos and vision.

-We asked for the opinions

-from staff, children and parents.

-We came to the conclusion that the

-children the most important thing.

-We received a certificate

-back in January.

-Level 2 Children's Rights Award.

-We are the first Welsh school

-in Wales to receive the award.

-It celebrates everything we do

-within the school...

-..that respects

-the rights of the children.

-Those rights are to be healthy,

-go to school to learn...

-..speak Welsh, feel safe,

-and for children to have a voice.

-One of the things they mentioned...

-Therefore, we introduced a policy

-where we tried not to shout...

-..and use an alternative.

-# Not a peep, please #

-Polly Parrot is our school mascot.

-Polly reminds us of our rights

-as children.

-The rights are printed on the steps

-when we arrive in the morning.

-There isn't any shouting

-in the school but there is singing.

-We sing some raps.

-and enjoys learning.

-The school is a happy place now

-and nobody goes home feeling sad.

-STORIEL is the Gwynedd Museum

-and Gallery located in Bangor.

-It's celebrates its first birthday.

-We went to find out more about the

-celebrations this coming Saturday.

-Storiel is the old Gwynedd Museum

-and Art Gallery in Bangor.

-A year ago,

-we opened in our new home...

-..and we're celebrating

-our anniversary.

-Over 86,000 people have come through

-our doors since we opened last year.

-There's something for everyone

-at Storiel.

-The museum is full of

-Gwynedd's history and relics.

-It might be situated in Bangor, but

-it represents the entire county.

-We also have art galleries that are

-constantly changing their exhibits.

-Our cafe has wonderful

-cuppas and cake.

-The shop sells crafts, children's

-items, books and jewellery.

-This exhibition is almost complete

-and is being put into place.

-It will open to the public for the

-first time on Saturday.

-The chest of wonders reflects the

-role of Storiel...

-..as a collection of memories,

-relics and items from Gwynedd.

-The chest of wonders was created

-by the artist, Emma Hobbins.

-It gives us the chance to showcase

-other relics from our collection.

-It reflects how people like to

-collect small memorable items.

-I've been volunteering at Storiel

-for the past 12 months.

-I support the visitors and

-any enquiries that they have.

-I'm excited to celebrate the first

-anniversary of Storiel on Saturday.

-Everyone is welcome to join us.

-Mair Tomos Ifans will be performing

-with the chest of wonders at 11am.

-At 1.30pm, there will be a

-discussion at the art gallery.

-Between 1.00pm and 3.00pm, there are

-activities planned for the family.

-There will be a lot of fun and mess.

-We close at 3.00pm with a birthday

-cake and cuppa at the Seibiant Cafe.
