-We're celebrating Tomato Week.

-It isn't the tomato season.

-It isn't the tomato season.

-The supermarkets are packed

-with a variety of tomatoes.

-We have to wait for more.

-What's on the menu today?

-I'm making a tomato and basil salad

-served with some tasty garlic bread.

-You can use red and yellow tomatoes.

-I like the ones on the vine.

-They are more firm.

-Do you store them in the fridge?

-I would store my tomatoes

-out of the fridge.

-But it's nice to have

-chilled tomatoes too.

-Keeping them in the fridge

-doesn't keep them fresh.

-Rub some olive oil

-into a slice of bread.

-Throw some garlic into the pan

-with the bread.

-I've got sundried tomatoes

-and chilli.

-Smell the tomatoes beforehand

-to see if they are ripe to slice.

-The colours look great.

-It's great to have a variety

-of colours with your tomatoes.

-Slice the tomatoes.

-I find it difficult to eat the large

-tomatoes like an apple.

-The large tomatoes

-are called beef tomatoes.

-Season with plenty of salt

-and pepper.

-Add a pinch of sugar

-and some dried oregano.

-Chop up some spring onions

-or a red onion.

-I prefer red onions.

-Add the tomatoes to the bread.

-This is a light salad.

-Add some mozzarella cheese.

-Tear up the cheese.

-Some of the tomatoes were oven

-cooked for five minutes.

-I drizzled olive oil

-and garlic over the tomatoes.

-Garlic is also great to kill a cold.

-The dressing has some

-basil and watercress.

-It looks great.

-Season again with salt

-and drizzle some olive oil over it.

-I can't wait to sample it.

-Imagine eating this in the garden

-in the fine weather.

-It's a light salad to enjoy.

-Let's try the garlic bread.

-The weather promises to be fine.

-Daf's been to soak up

-its wonderful scenery.

-I was born in North Pembrokeshire...

-..but know nothing

-about the south of the county.

-We're joined by the Hog Hikers

-from Pembrokeshire...

-..for a hike

-on the island of Skomer.

-Today, we're crossing the water

-for the first time to visit Skomer.

-We're a group of friends

-from the Maenclochog area.

-Maenclochog is known by some people

-as the Hog so we're the Hog Hikers.

-Thankfully, the weather is fine

-for my first trip to Skomer.

-I've lived in Pembrokeshire for 27

-years but have never been to Skomer.

-Everything was in our favour

-so we jumped aboard and set sail.

-We decided to follow the island's

-coastline and started in the east...

-..before heading south, west and

-north on a round trip of four miles.

-The first stop was

-at the island's industrial ruins.

-This is a lime kiln.

-Lime and coal

-was delivered into the bay.

-They were transported

-in large chunks.

-A fire was started

-inside the kiln...

-..and the heat helped the lime

-to break down into powder.

-The powder was spread over the land

-to nourish it.

-After a few steps, we came across

-another historical site.

-Nobody knows the identity of Harold.

-I suspect he was a leader of a tribe

-from thousands of years ago.

-The lichen that's growing on

-the stone is an important feature.

-Lichen only grows

-where the air is very pure.

-It's beautiful when the bluebells

-and campions are in bloom.

-It's one of the best times

-of the year to visit.

-There's so much to see from flowers

-to birds and seals and porpoise.

-It's a wonderful place.

-There's a number of gulls

-in the area.

-On the top, there's a fulmar

-which is a gull-like bird.

-There are two holes on its beak.

-If you get too close, they spit a

-foul-smelling oil that is like fish.

-The black-legged kittiwake is

-a small gull that also nests here.

-The islands famous for its puffins

-and there's 10,000 in the spring.

-Most will leave in August to spend

-the rest of the year on the sea.

-Rabbits thrive on the island after

-first coming here in the 1400s.

-The island was infected

-by myxomatosis in 1955...

-..but their numbers are over 10,000

-and they hop around this very field.

-A family once lived on the island

-until 1949.

-Their farmhouse was transformed into

-a hostel and museum for visitors.

-After a day on the island,

-how are the Hog Hikers' feet?

-My feet are fine.

-I brought my flip flops

-but I didn't need them.

-I've had a wonderful time

-and the weather has been glorious.

-I've never been here before

-and it's great.

-It's been brilliant

-and I've thoroughly enjoyed my day.

-It's like heaven on earth!

-After a day of hiking around

-this beautiful and unique island...

-..it was time to head home

-to the mainland.

-What a wonderful place.

-to use whilst you're pregnant.

-Tanya is expecting a baby

-at the end of August.

-You have to be careful

-with the products that you use.

-The skin changes during pregnancy.

-I didn't realize there

-are some things you shouldn't use.

-The names are on the screen now.

-They can affect

-the hormone levels...

-..which will affect the baby.

-A lot of women think that the

-skin changes during this period.

-Tanya feels that her skin

-is very dry now.

-It's time for a dessert.

-It's got some fruit.

-Yes, we've got some fruit

-My favourite is banana

-and chocolate loaf.

-I'm making a banana

-and chocolate loaf.

-I'll serve the loaf

-with a peanut butter cream.

-I've got two mature bananas.

-You will only need one

-for your recipe.

-I like to mash them with a fork.

-Choose a banana that is yellow

-or turning black.

-You want them to be sweet.

-Add two tablespoons of milk.

-I'm also adding two eggs.

-I'm doubling

-the recipe at the moment.

-Use 75g of plain flour...

-..and 50g of butter.

-It looks easy.

-Add bicarbonate of soda

-and baking powder.

-Preparation is key.

-If you don't prepare,

-you won't finish the job.

-Mix the ingredients.

-You can use a mixer,

-but I like to use my hands.

-There's less washing up

-by using your hands.

-Can you use gluten-free flour?

-Gluten free flour can work,

-but it will make it harder.

-Use more baking powder

-to make it softer.

-Next, I'm going to use

-the whisk to mix it.

-I'm making a mess.

-You need some elbow grease for this.

-I'm using 75g of dark chocolate.

-You can use plain chocolate.

-You can purchase them in bars.

-Add a pinch of salt.

-Why are you using salt?

-I'm using salt

-because it works well with sugar.

-You can line the tins.

-This is a new non-stick tin.

-You want it to go all the way up

-to the top.

-Just leave 1cm.

-This needs to go into the oven at

-gas mark 3 or 160 degrees Celsius.

-Bake for 45 minutes.

-Next, we're going to make our cream.

-Use 200ml of clotted cream.

-I could eat the cream like that!

-Add 100g of peanut butter

-and 50ml of honey.

-You need to mix this week.

-I'm going to add some more salt.

-You want it to be like a ripple.

-It looks like ice cream.

-You can see the chocolate.
