Working in the music industry requires you to have a

lot of confidence in yourself as an artist - as our singers

are about to find out.

I'm really happy I've got two wins, however, it's still anybody's game

but if I don't then I've still got

a chance on the public vote so it's not like my life's over.

The pressure is on for our eight singers.

Only one will automatically get through to the final after

today's sing-off. The others must face the public vote.

The opportunity at the end of this is so massive.

I mean, one of them will get to perform at Radio 1's Big Weekend

and I think it's really exciting that today one of them

is going to take a massive step towards that.

Each episode, Musical Director David Tench teaches the group a new

song, but only three will get to perform in our final

end of show sing-off.

-It's a big song.

-It goes from really to really high so that's going to be

What do you like most about it?

I like the song because it covers a lot of different ranges,

it can go high, it can go low.

It doesn't really have a beat to it, or it's not that there's a beat,

it's just a slow piano song which isn't really my style.

I love everything about this song.

I think Sam Smith's range is amazing, it's out of this world,

so it's a good opportunity to show your skills.

When Lauren said this song I was really happy

because it was a song we all knew.

And the thing is if you're trying to make it in the industry it's

about finding your unique voice, it's about finding that thing that

sets you apart from other people and Becky, you just did that, well done!

When I think back to that first rehearsal, people were shy,

nervous, didn't know what to do.

I think they've progressed so much and no matter who gets to this

sing-off, I think there could be fireworks, it could be the best one!

But while everyone's improving,

weeks of singing is starting to take its toll.

I've lost my voice a little bit.

I'm not losing it, but it's getting a bit of a croak.

My voice isn't at its best at the moment cos yesterday I think

I practised a bit too much and a bit too high

and I think it might be a little bit damaged

but hopefully I can be OK and I can try and push through it.

12-year-old Paddy is a pop star wannabe from Lancashire.

My dream is to make it as far as I can possible, singing.

He wants to go all the way with it and I do think he can.

Paddy won his first sing-off...

..but since then, he's struggled with remembering the lyrics.

Argh, I've completely forgot them!

Take a deep breath, man, you're going to be absolutely fine!

I think Patrick just needs to work

on his confidence, really, believing in himself.

He's hoping he can make it straight to the final and get closer

to his dream of being a pop star.

Hopefully, if I ever am a singer

I'll be selling lots of records and just performing on stage.

I've just worked so hard to try and be the best I can

and I'm still trying to improve.

Yeah, good job, good job!

I can see in your eyes that you're disappointed by that performance.

But you know what's happening here - you've done a lot of singing,

you've done a lot of challenges,

and of course now when you get tired it takes it's toll on your voice.

Your voice is so delicate, it's always the first to go when you're

tired but you know what? In the industry I see that all the time.

You do gig after gig, your voice is getting tired,

really the only answer is just sleep.

Sleep, eat healthy and look after yourself.

It's incredibly hard to make a career in the music industry,

but these stars have some top tips that might help you get here.

Don't try and follow trends or what

anybody else is doing that's like the hot thing at the moment.

Keep your family really close,

keep your friends really close and don't get arrogant.

Find your name, find your vibe, find your groove.

Each episode, two end of show sing-off spots can be

won in a music industry challenge, and it's time to find

out what the group is facing next.

Lauren's left us a message.

'In the music industry being a great singer is not always enough,

'that by impressing a music executive whose job it is to sign

Top music executive Conrad Withey

works with some of the biggest online pop stars.

And today, our eight singers will be trying to convince him

that they're in the same league.

When it comes to actually trying to launch an artist, you really do need

to know who you are, what you're about, and how you're different.

But before the singers face Conrad, one of his artists,

Elyar Fox, has popped in to meet the group.

Elyar has had over 22 million views online and, as a result,

he was signed and has had a top 10 single.

So, hey, I'm Elyar, I started out online posting

videos around 2012 and pretty much haven't stopped since.

What age did you start singing?

I started singing when I was about 13,

I used to be in a band in high school.

What's the hardest part about working in the music industry?

Staying positive.

A lot of the time people are going to put you down but the longer you

do it, the more confident you become in yourself and what you are doing.

The singers face a tough challenge today,

so Elyar has some last minute advice for them.

So for today's challenge you are going to be

interviewed by my manager, Conrad.

He will be picking two of you from the interviews

based on the following -

your potential to make it in the industry, your stand-out talent

and your ability to sell yourself as an artist.

I would recommend always be yourself if you're going into a meeting.

It can be nerve-wracking sometimes,

but always try to forget about that and just do you.

The two who impress him the most will

get to perform in the end of show sing-off.

I really want to win this industry challenge, I'm going to

do my best, I'm going to fight the hardest to get into this sing-off.

I want to have the chance to perform and show off my voice.

I really do want to get into the sing-off, it would be good

just to go out with a bang, really, and finish on a good note.

What will Conrad make of our young singers?

I'm just going to try and establish

whether you think you've got the potential to be successful

in the music business.

What type of artist do you want to be?

I want to be a very versatile artist,

I don't want to say R&B or one type of genre of music.

I'm more of a rock chick, I like listening to rock music.

I've always written my own music and I would class

myself as a musician and an artist rather than a singer.

Why do you think you've got what it takes?

I've got quite a unique style, it's sort of a mix up of rock

and pop and even country a bit.

When I sing, a lot of people are shocked when they hear me sing.

-In a good way?

-In a good way. Yeah, in a good way.

So what makes you different from the thousands of other

people your age who want to make it in this business?

Some people think it's all about the money and I'm not about that,

I'm like music over money, I just want to make an audience

enjoy my music that I've made and I think that's more important.

I've got my own style, I dress like how I want to dress

and if you don't like it, it's not my problem, I don't dress for you.

Nothing can get in my way of becoming a singer, that's the thing

I want to do most in the world. All I want to do is be a singer.

All eight have managed to keep their cool under questioning,

but now Conrad wants to hear the potential in their voices.

I would pick...

Erm, that's a very tricky question, erm...

If I owned a record label I'd probably sign all of them.

That was so, so, so exciting!

I really want to do that challenge again, I had a really good time

and now I'm out I'm sort of thinking of little bits I should have said.

I don't know if I do or if I don't have a good chance,

I just said what I thought and hopefully I can win.

Time for Conrad to deliver the news to the group.

Who has impressed the most?

So, guys, how did you find it?

I found it quite difficult just to

kind of make my answers unique, but I think I did well.

The criteria was to sell yourself,

and you had to make yourself stand out from everyone else

and I think that was the trickiest thing we had to do.

I had to pick two of you and it was really tough.

All of you have a potential to do great things, but based on today's

interview and the criteria that we were using to judge...

I pick Lola.

And Paddy.

I chose those two mainly because I felt that they were

closest to the complete package. I thought her song-writing

stood out and I thought Paddy just had a lot of raw talent.

Paddy won, look, right there!

I won the challenge, I'm really, really excited

because I really wanted to get this challenge.

I learned that you have to stay confident, you also need to believe

in yourself because there's always going to be people to put you down.

You have to always be yourself, no matter what.

All of the challenges have just made me think that it's really not

all about the voice and it is about everything else put together.

but the singing does not stop in the Music Mansion.

and the mums are about to find out what their eighth

and final challenge will be.

So, one final performance place is up for grabs in today's challenge.

A good roadie will do anything to support their act

but how far would you go for your little stars?

Or should I say, how high?

Surely, they are not going to give us more heights.

they've given us them already.

In their final challenge - Mum's The Roadie - the mums will need

a good head for heights if they stand any chance of winning.

The thing is swinging around, there's nobody even on them!

They must transport a guitar around an assault course

12 metres in the air.

No, I'm not doing it, absolutely no way.

-Not at that height and I'm terrified of heights.

-Come on.

No, it's ridiculous.

They'll need to be brave and fast

as the mum who finishes in the quickest time

wins that final sing-off spot.

Providing the mums with some much-needed encouragement

is Games Guru Kevin Adams,

choreographer and trainer to the stars.

I think today's challenge is going to show

what the mums are really made of.

I look up there and I think, kind of scary.

In fact, it is a lot scary.

While Lola and Paddy's mums sit this challenge out,

the stakes are high for the others.

Lily, Matt and Amaria could all draw level with Rai-Elle

if their mums can win that final sing-off spot.

Coming from a man that is scared of heights,

I want to know how you are feeling right now.

I'm going to give it a go but I don't think

I will get on to the first - whatever it is - stick thing.

But I like the fact you are going to give it a go.

Katie, you are another person that is scared of heights

along with myself. How are you feeling right now?

If you are scared of heights, you are more concerned with that

than actually doing the challenge so, yeah, I'm going

to give it my best shot but I am obviously at a slight disadvantage.

That last spot is up for grabs in the sing-off.

My mum is really supportive.

I call her my mum-ager because she is like my mum

and my manager at the same time.

She has got a talent, she has been blessed with a gift.

The stage is her second home, she always says,

so when she gets on the stage, she is in her comfort zone.

Has this competition changed you?

Yeah, I think I needed to step my game up so, yeah, I just thought and

thought and thought, cos it weren't working how I was singing it.

Have you had any more thoughts since our piano rehearsal?

Yeah, I'm against two very strong singers,

and that's not my forte,

so I think what I'm focusing on is

I thought the final sing-off was actually one of the best

sing-offs we've had so far.

All three singers in the sing-off today are different,

they've got a different approach, and they're developing

as artists, and that's great -

that's what we're here to help them do.

This is the closest one we've had so far -

the decision was split by just one vote.

It was actually her best sing-off.

She really deserved to win.

I am so happy. I-I'm speechless.

I didn't expect it, but I tried my best so I'm happy that I won.

So with three sing-off wins, Rai-Elle tops the leaderboard

and goes straight through to the grand final.

The remaining singers must face the public vote

to see which three will join her.

It's so hard when it comes to public voting.

You don't know who they're going to like,
