If you want to make it in the music industry,

then stage presence is a must.

You may have a unique voice,

but if you don't get the audience on your side,

then you will struggle keeping a fan base.

One music megastar who's mastered the art of working a crowd

is Britain's Got Talent's Calum Scott.

No way! Oh, my gosh!

Well, today, he's here to judge your third challenge.

That's not funny!

Oh, my God. No way, no way, no way.

Calum Scott is a singer who first came to the world's attention

after making the finals on BGT.

After reaching sixth place,

he went on to have a huge hit with his cover of Dancing On My Own,

which got to number two in the charts.

For one member of the group, meeting Calum proves too much.

She's crying.

You were her screensaver for a good year and a half.

When Calum walked out on that stage, it was just like something else,

it was just an amazing feeling.

I just instantly cried.

I think I was, like, really emotional,

so he just came to comfort me, and he's got really good hugs.

Erin is a 14-year-old with a big voice from Wales.

When she's not helping out at her mum's pub,

I think my mum's favourite song for me to sing

She amazes me, what she can do,

what comes out of her mouth a lot of the time, when she does sing.

Singing is my life, it's the only thing that I want to do.

If I didn't have singing, I don't know what I'd be doing.

I'm Calum Scott. I was on Britain's Got Talent,

I got Simon Cowell's golden buzzer,

I put a single out, Dancing On My Own,

that I sang at the audition.

My song went huge.

But it wasn't always like that.

I was working in an office for eight years before all this

and I thought, that's what I'd be doing for the rest of my life.

So, yeah, if you work hard, you achieve.

Is it hard work being a pop star?

So, like, I'm living, like, the dream now,

but it is difficult, as well.

Friends' birthdays I have to miss,

I don't get to spend time with my mum

massively important in what we do.

To kick things off,

the group are going to work on winning over a crowd.

The first thing I want to talk about is first impressions.

As you walk out on stage, the first things that you say,

you have to connect with your audience in that first few seconds.

The reason I chose Ellie, she had that engagement with me,

she made me believe everything she was saying.

I chose Kyra, I thought, as soon as she walked out,

she was just so engaging, so happy.

She had that vibe about her,

and I just wanted to watch the entire performance.

I didn't win the Industry Challenge, but you never know,

my mum might pull it out the bag.

My friends and I love to dance, we love to sing,

we love to play basketball. We just love to do crazy things.

But singing is her true passion.

When David and I first spoke about the song,

we thought it would suit the boys a little bit more than the girls,

but we do have an all-girl sing-off,

so I'm really excited to see the, kind of, spin

that they put on their own version.

Each sing-off, the mums are the judges

and will vote to decide which performer is the winner.

The person with the most sing-off wins after eight episodes

will automatically qualify

for the grand final.

Ellie and Jorja have both won a sing-off each.

but obviously not completely, cos obviously I'm up against

two really strong singers.

So, I think it's a really difficult sing-off.

Lou, what was it like, for you, watching her?

It was something different,

something that Ellie probably wouldn't have sung before.

So, yeah, it was good. I enjoyed it, Ellie.

'Lou seems happy with the performance,

'but Ellie hasn't managed to connect with all of the mums.'

I really liked Ellie's version of the song.

Thought it was a really strong performance.

For me, I would have liked to see her eyes open a little bit more.

Involve us in your performance. Bring me in.

And then, that would have been fabulous.

I just feel like she focuses too much on her voice.

I think, moving forward,

she needs to open up and give us big performances.

To be honest, I'm not very happy with how it went.

The mums' comments at the end didn't seem very convincing.

So...I don't think it went very well.

Stephanie, I know Jorja wasn't too keen on singing this song.

What was it like watching her sing it?

I know how nervous she is with singing

and then, that's the most I've seen her move when she's singing

and I really loved it.

Jorja was so worried going into this that this wasn't her song.

And I think she was worried that she was up against strong competition.

So all these things were running through her head, instead of

just the music. And I think that might have

held her back a little bit.

I'm quite happy how it went,

because I tried to perform it as well as I could.

I just tried to look everyone in the eye,

use my hands, and, em, just to get the emotion in the song across.

OK, mums, only one of our amazing singers will win today.

The kids were so nervous today before the sing-off

and I think that's because it's really starting

to mean something to them now.

Kyra, Ellie and Jorja, you all did amazingly,

It was my first sing-off. And I managed to win it.

I'm really happy about that.

I didn't think I was going to win, cos I messed the words up.

But nobody noticed.

Sometimes, you have to do songs that you don't always enjoy.

But you have to find a way of making it work for you

and you have to give a killer performance.

And Kyra's today, for me, was the standout.
